Best customer service! That's just the basics description of this business. Every person that works there either desk or pushing wrenches will treat you like family and care for your vehicle better than they would for their own. This place is not just another tire shop, they have excellent mechanics that literally saved my @$$ numerous times. Some repairs that dealer quoted me mortgage payment lol and other mechanics refused to fix, this fountain tire said we will try and help you... and they did, time and time again with my Toyota Tundra, my Tacoma and after f150 all mechanical repairs were done here as well as all sets of tires were bought through this place. I've send my wife, my neighbor, my sister and numerous friends to get help from fountain tire on vermillion road for many reasons: best customer service hands down, real mechanics that use brains while pushing wrenches and do everything in their power to help out their customers but I think most of all you are treated like a family member (wanted family member lol). Please support this business and pass on the message to all your friends and family. The owner Anthony and the crew are great and I have always taken my cars for service at the Southdale location....I was in for a brake job and other things identified to be fixed....with covid I did not want to get into a taxi to go home and back so I was waiting for about 4 hours or so...was a bit frustrated when I notice brakes were still squeaking when backing up which is somewhat normal (found on Youtube) but over time they now squeak a bit going forward....was hoping it would self correct over time and I only take the car out once a week to get groceries...so its not self correcting with use yet....anyways my initial rating frustration was what I will call a "covid 3 stars" but in reality service has always been great!...I was just hoping the first trip to the shop would be the only one required as to limit my outside contact..they could have told me that there would be some squeaking or maybe used some lubrication on the brakes..will wait to see if a second trip back is necessary if brakes don't improve.

Recently took my vehicle in for a oil change. After a couple hours received a text about all the outstanding issues with the vehicle, which I did not ask them to ascertain, I simply wanted an oil change. Then received a follow up call to review all the issues they found with the vehicle, with an estimate of almost $2300 for ball joint work as well another $400 approx. to fix other issues. I declined the repairs, as the vehicle was recently inspected. I then took it to two independent, established repair shops for their opinions. Both came back with quotes for work substantially lower than what FT quoted as well as far less issues. In the end I paid $622 incl tax, to a highly reputable shop for all the repairs that FT "found" on my vehicle. A difference of approx. $2000. While they may be nice people at this location, and do tires and oil changes very well, I would certainly seek a second opinion on major repairs.

Took our van in for a estimate because our brake fluid was leaking. They told us that all our calipers were shot and needed replacing, all our tires needed replacing and all four rotors needed to be replaced, and of course the brake fluid. The estimate $3500. Which seemed really high. So i wanted a second opinion from a real mechanic. He said one caliper and rotor needed replacing and that was all, he even took pictures to show us where the leak was, everything else was fine. He did the work total cost for the parts and labor was $400. These clowns are crooks and take advantage of people who do not know any better. Do not take your vehicle into this fountain tire, not saying all fountain tires are con artists but this one was just brutal , thank god i got a second opinion or i could have been $3500 in the hole.

Went to crappy tire for an alignment and wheel balance. After waiting until 11:30 for my 10 am appointment, crappy tire said my car was too low for an alignment, I said OK, can you still balance them? They said yup. Waited until 1:00 got the call my car is ready. They only balanced the fronts... Frustrated I called fountain tire to see if they could fit my car on the alignment machine. They said stop by and we will try it out. They put a couple of boards down, and voila my car made it up the ramp. In and out in an hour or so, alignment done....no appointment! Friendly staff, was able to hang around and watch the tech align my car and see first hand that it was done well! I will be a return customer! Well done!!!

A flat tire forced me to pay an unexpected visit to the Fountain Tire on Vermillion. I had never used the services of this Fountain Tire before. All of the staff members that I encountered were friendly, knowledgeable, respectful, and efficient, not only with every customer but with each other. I expected to drop off the flat and come back in a day or two to retrive the patched tire (or worse, have to buy a new one). Even though it was nearing the end of the day, they said they had time to fix the tire and get me on my way if I could wait. Approximtely 30 minutes or so later, I was on my way with a repaired tire, reasonable bill, and a new addition to my list of trusted service providers. Huge thanks!

If could give a 0 I would! Brutal place... purchased tires from them... got small leak out of town had them patch the tire.... the guy at the shop said the belt was done inside... he recognized they were new and told us to bring it back for warranty... took it back to Fountain Tire they told me there's nothing wrong with them... that was June.... on our road trip in July two of the tires blew while we were driving.... barely 40000 Km on it... Fountain Tire now said tires are off warranty and won't cover .... save your money go somewhere else even Walmart has better service and warranty than this place. They blamed the consumer and not the product... brutal place

Terrible people. I brought my vehicle to this shop for the certificate of inspection for Autopac. Of course, they failed it and said to pass, it would need about $3000 in repairs. Then the guy said "just scrap it, you'd get $1000 for it." Not only is that extremely disrespectful, it shows these guys have no respect for others property. My car is important to me. I got the necessary repairs done, and they still refused to "sign off on it," what a waste of $55 plus tax and I was determined to not pay another dime to this garage. Needless to say, I went to another Fountain Tire location in the city and they actually apologized on behalf of these schmucks.

I very rarely leave reviews but I just returned from having a tire patched on my truck. Went flat at 3pm, called this location and arrived at 3:45 (even though they close at 5), work was done in under 45 minutes. They even relearned my TPMS! Which the dealer took no time to do.. Craziest part is they did it all for free. I'm new to the area and really appreciate the kind gesture. Very rarely do I see businesses nowadays actually try to earn my someone's business by helping them out.. But these guys are my tire guys from now on. I'll be visiting again to buy some winter tires for my truck. Thanks again guys.

I dropped a tire off at 1pm Friday and was told "we're really busy, if not today we'll do it tomorrow ". I called Saturday afternoon and was told, "we're really busy, if not today we'll do it tomorrow". I just stopped in Sunday afternoon and was told, "unfortunately we didn't get to it, we're really busy with appointments". Not even an apology. They turned a minor inconvenience into a major inconvenience that I'll have to deal with on Monday. I have had hot and cold experiences at this location for over a decade but I'm done. The hit and miss service isn't worth the convenience of the location.

Best Garage and people. I’ve been using Southdale Fountain Tire for over 10years now and can’t say enough about how good they are. I have had tires replaced and repaired on 4 different cars without complaint. Good prices and even better service! These are honest people in a business not known for that. They have also helped me and my family at the weirdest times and without fail. Until now my cars have been under warranty but now I’m holding on to them with all service now being done here! From the owner, to the front counter gents and the team in the back, thank you from the Charles Family.

I called them spur of the moment because my car had a terrible oil leak and couldn't be driven. I called them on a Friday, had my car towed there same day. Up front, they said they may not be able to look at it until the following Thursday. I agreed, yet they managed to look at the car and give me estimates the next day, and had completed all the work by the following Tuesday, two days before they initially said they may be able to look at it. The car is running great and I am very grateful for the quick and great work they did. It was costly, but more than a fair price!

Ive been coming here for years to do my seasonal tire swaps and other maintenance. I don't know how I haven't left a review yet. They won me as a customer years ago when they actually had a discussion with me about my brake pad conditions, explained to me that the maintenance could wait, and how much mileage I'd have before the work was needed. They didn't push me to get the work done, but gave me a quote and said let us know if you want this done at your next tire swap! The front desk staff are friendly, helpful, and Im happy that they're close by!

Great folk running this place. We were walking by once and just dropped in to ask some general questions. They helped us even though we made no purchase. We went back in fall and got some winter tires for a great price we just couldn’t refuse. Next we needed new camper trailer tires, and now needed another set of rims for our new car (winter & summer set). Their prices were comparable to everything we checked out on line, and with the reassurance that if any issues happen we can come back to them. I’m very impressed with their service and ethics.

On a whim ,went to check for low profile tires after going to Crappy tire after Crapy Tire told me I needed about $ 900 dollars worth of tires.They also rated my tire tread depth wrong and I know this since W.M at Fountain tire went outside with me to measure the treads and I could see it myself. Offered a great deal on practical tires and honored it. Was in and out with new tires shortly after dropping of my mazda 3. I would recommend this location highly.Thank you guys.

Took my car in because it was making a loud scraping noise. They said the plastic bottom engine cover was damaged and needed replaced. New part was going to cost $1200. They said they took the cover off for now, so it'll be okay to drive. Charged me $50 for taking the cover off. I drove off and the scraping sound was still there. Took it to another mechanic and they told me the car was never touched. The damaged cover was still there. Not sure why I paid $50.

Went to this location inquiring if they could top up my differential till I could repair the leaking axle seal the next day and they immediately helped me, only charging for the gear oil and shop supplies. Canadian Tire next door wanted 45 dollars for a fluid flush, shop hours and the price of gear oil on top of that. Will recommend this fountain tire to others in the future as they weren't rude and seemed like they actually cared

I have been to the fountain tire in southdale on vermillion road in Winnipeg. I was helped by the owner Anthony who really went above and beyond to make sure my vehicle was safe while doing an inspection to change it from a BC vehicle to a MB vehicle. Even though they were booked solid they managed to fit me in so that I could get the inspection before my BC insurance expired and very very friendly. This store will be my regular.

Saturday July 4th at 3:30 PM my vehicle indicated brake failure. Merv Schmidt found the time (they were busy) to read the censors, remove the wheels and check the brakes before closing at 5 on Saturday afternoon. If needed he was prepared to fix the brakes as we were leaving for Saskatchewan the next day. "Just a faulty censor" he said, after telling me to put my cc away. That's real service when needed.

Incredible customer service! I had an appointment and while I was waiting was very obvious that they were super busy. In one point they call me and explain to me what was the problem with my vehicle and how they fixed it. But because I had to wait a little bit so it's free of charge! I insisted to pay but they didn't accept it! It's so nice that I found people with integrity! Thank you so much!

Thank you again Fountain Tire Southdale! Left my vehicle parked for 2 months in this cold Winnipeg weather. Upon return from our vacation one of the tires was low. They got me in right away and quickly discovered a broken valve stem. It was replaced and they had me back on the road in no time! The front staff here are always friendly and willing to help, they always advise you when parts are starting to wear in advance so you can prepare for a future repair bill. This is the only place i will ever go to service my vehicles as there service crew are very good and stand behind there work. The owner is amazing and always makes sure you are satisfied with your service.

They were great. Went in to get my winter set put on and they were able to help me same day. They told me my tread was getting low, still drivable but getting very close. They gave me a great deal on a new set of tires and got everything mounted and rolling in a little over an hour. Everyone that helped me were very nice and patient with my questions. I will happily return.

They are courteous to deal with on the phone and in person, upfront about costs, keep their time commitments. Work carried out has been always up to the standard. The guys are honest to a fault and go out of their way to make sure my experience is positive every time. The best mechanical service I've found in the past 25 years. I was actually glad when the warranty ran out on one of our vehicles and we didn't have to deal with the dishonest service clowns at Winnipeg Honda anymore.

Was there about 3 years ago and went back just the other day for tires. Guys were good to talk to, very helpful with my questions I had and quick to answer. Appreciate the service on what I would consider short notice. Even the mechanic on hand confirmed my suspicions that my spare was no good and changed it out also.

Again, the guys at Southdale Fountain Tire were awesome. I was given a quote for four tires by one of the employees, and it turned out the quote was lower than it should have been. When I spoke to the owner, he immediately honoured the original quoted price, even though the tires were already on sale. Very impressive!

Had steering vibration so i took off the tires and had them balanced here. The vibration was worse after. It was dangerously worse. Took them to another tire shop and watches them balance tires one was out an ounce and the other was out 2.5 ounces. Thats terrible work. How many others tires are they messing up?

I went in there today to purchase rims for my car, even though they had none in stock they contacted every store in the city to find some for me. Unfortunately they still couldn't find any but the person helping me was so accommodating and went above my expectations. Amazing customer service, highly recommend.

Such great customer service at this shop. After swapping my winter tires, they found thousands of dollars in repairs that needed to be done. In the end, although I didn’t go ahead with the repairs, they didn’t charge me for the tire service because they felt bad for me from the bad news.

EXCELLENT customer service! The guys were able to fit me in at the very end of a very busy Saturday. The wait was made enjoyable with complimentary coffee and watching tv. The phone charging station was a nice touch too since my phone was out of juice. Will definitely be back!

I moved to the South end of the city and my usual Fountain Tire on Henderson told me to come visit the Vermillion Road and that the service would be as great as I was used to. I am happy to report that they were right. I have been very impressed and happy to keep coming back.

This location is solid. My car needed tire replaced (hole in the sidewall) while driving across Canada; someone from the shop drove across town to pick up the last remaining tire in Winnipeg from another fountain tire. I was in and out in a jiffy. Very polite and professional

After overfilling my oil close to their parking lot, I thought to call them for advice. They were closing in 15 minutes and they were kind enough to help me out on the spot and drain some of the oil. Mike was an absolute pleasure to deal with, I will definitely be back!

I trust this location and I always believe they’re doing honest work. They seem to do things in a timely fashion without rushing the job. Staff are always evened toned even when I see them deal with some ‘interesting’ customers. I will continue to use their services.

We have used this Fountain Tire for a flat fix and to replace RV tires - the team here has provided excellent customer service, complete the work very quickly and at a fair price. The Fountain Tire website is useful for comparing tires also. Highly recommended.

Staff is very nice, but i found that they stick to the time quoted by the standards given in a book. i brought it in for a simple service which would have taken me (not a mechanic) maybe 1 hour to complete, it took them 2.4 hours. i'm not impressed.
