My co-workers and I have been coming here for years after our department lunch for a good time of drinks and fun Karaoke. After what happened this past weekend, we will not be returning, ever…. We normally bring a large crowd in and we always spend at least over 1000 dollars and have always made sure to pay in full (with gratuity) every time. There was some false hope when we saw the new management banner. Service was as slow as ever (not because it was busy, but you just seemed to not really care about serving us). Some of the attendees mentioned to the server that some of the drinks seemed like they did not contain alcohol (straight tonic, no gin) as just an observation to the bartender. Instead of taking the constructive feedback, you had the tenacity to tell us that we were assured that the drinks all had alcohol. (then proceeded to serve the alcohol and mixers separate from there on out). You probably cut us off in the worst professional way possible. I am not fighting the fact that you did, I agree that it is your responsibility to know when enough is enough but teach your wait staff some grace and finesse in these situations. I'd rather just be told to we were done and given our bills rather than sit there and be ignored for 35 minutes. For the record, during that time, I tried to order food, not alcohol to help sober some people up but instead I wasn't even looked at. We get the picture, you don't appreciate good business and would like us to take our money elsewhere. Bravo…..
I would give zero for the manager or if he is "the owner of the establishment". Not only he had unwelcomed "greeting" on his face when you first walk in, but his overall attitude towards patrons was very unpleasant and could easily ruin your night after long working day. My friends and I had a small gathering for more than 10 people on the second floor on Friday night. I arrived later than my group, waited for about 20 minutes and no one showed up to take my first order, I dial the number of the pub. We were served, but an hour later same story, no service, and I called again. The guy on the phone got really nasty, blaming us for mistreating his staff (really hard to do if you don't see anyone), adding he has only 2 servers working that day, and if I really wanted a drink I could myself go to the bar already, and if we have given the deposit of $150 we could have a proper service. Oh, well.. I feel terrible for people working under this unhappy person. We were very appreciative of the girls serving us. The level of stress their boss put them through can be easily recognized. .. I would not recommend this place to anyone. My friends who liked the convenience of the location for years won't go back after that night..
Went on Halloween night with a friend. I understand that it was a busy night especially because it’s near church street but that was still no excuse for bad service. First of all, after we were seated it took a long time before anyone came to take our order, so much so that we were considering going somewhere else or just going home and ordering takeout. Secondly my friend and I ordered two cocktails WITH alcohol mind you, yet when they finally came to us it tasted like juice with a sprinkle of liquor Thirdly the two of us ordered one platter of nachos to share, can someone tell me why we see a different waiter than the one that took our order, walk straight past us with the nachos. Not only that, she went up to several tables asking if they had ordered the nachos, but she didn’t come to ours so we tried waving at her but she didn’t see. The waiter then went back into the kitchen and re-emerged with our platter 5 minutes later. My friend and I were greeted with sad, cold nachos. To top it off, when we got our bill, there was already a tip included in the price. Why should I pay a tip for what was essentially no service? I don’t recommend coming here.
We used to go there for Open Mic Saturdays with my friends. Never coming back after last time though. There weren't many people singing and my friends and I were a party of 8. Most of us ordered food and we were all ordering drinks throughout the night. Most songs were requested by our group and we were having a good time until the server brought us our bills because "it's not a private karaoke lounge" and we were "singing too often". There were lots of available tables in the karaoke section and we were all paying customers constantly ordering more and more throughout the night. The DJ didn't seem to have a problem with us either since we were energetic but not doing anything risky towards others or their equipment. Just a weird night overall, getting a "private Karaoke lounge" next time lol much more affordable than paying for their "Specials". Edit because I just saw some other similar reviews left by visible minorities: My friends and I are Latinos.

Update July 2018: Drinks with a friend at 5 PM on the patio turns into dinner and more drinks that lead us into Karaoke (and more drinks) as we are the last to leave at 2 AM. Great bunch of people. Lots of laughs and if you haven't tried the liver with onions and bacon it's a must have. Perfectly cooked and pink in the middle. Tasty as all get out. Ask about their Tequila choices. *** 2016: Introduced by a friend to Karaoke night. Glad I went. Quality liquor, beer and food. Well presented and served by competent Wait Staff. The place is full of life and the people have a hoot of a time. Downstairs bathrooms not accessible to physically challenged or those well sloshed. The mushroom cheese burger with mozzarella along with Beef 'N Guinness Pot Pie are more than respectable and will satisfy your hunger pangs. Speakers for Karaoke nights need to be brought down a tad as they crackle and drown out the singers...although sometimes that's a good thing. But bless their valiant courage. As for me, I KNOW I can't sing so why torture you.
I made a reservation a while ago for 12 for our office Christmas lunch today and our experience was dismal. There was no one to greet us at the door, nor could I find anyone out on the floor to tell us where we were sitting. Service was slow. We got our own menus, cutlery and condiments. We had to ask twice for enough water glasses. Our drinks arrived just before the food. One of the people in our group ordered chicken wings, which arrived 30 minutes after everyone else's meal when most of us were already finished, and only after I let the server know that we were still missing a plate. When the bills came I suggested that she should not be charged for the meal. The server first asked me why not, and then proceeded to tell us that the restaurant was very busy and she had served 50 people that morning, and that there was no manager who could make that decision. It was an entirely disappointing experience and I will NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone.
This is a very average pub restaurant offering your typical drinks and pub food at fairly good prices. We were a group of 8 and the waitress was quick and efficient, especially considering that it was busier than usual given the huge crowds in the area for Pride weekend. That being said, it's hard to get pub food wrong. My main issue with this restaurant is that the owner appears too cheap to want to renovate or maintain it. See the pictures attached; it's falling apart and is so outdated - not in a vintage or rustic kind of way. Anyhow it's an OK option if other bars in the area are busy, as was the case for us. But do NOT go out of your way to go here. I would only go here if all other options are closed in the area.

They are having karaoke night on Saturday, There were four of us, each of us ordered a cocktail and one fried chicken wing to share, but after waiting for two hours we only sang one song and in the meantime the waitress kept coming to ask us how we were doing, and finally the waitress actually told us to leave because she said our last order was at 9:45 and now it was 11:30. I was shocked and asked if we were supposed to order alcohol every hour and she said yes. We were speechless, all the mood was ruined and we left the place. It was the first time I had ever heard of a bar having such a rule about ordering drinks every hour, and I thought it was ridiculous. By the way, we noticed that the waitress didn't check the other tables and ask them to leave, maybe because we were Asian!

Fox and Fiddle at Wellesley offers a lively and welcoming atmosphere, making it a popular spot for both locals and visitors. The diverse menu caters to various tastes, with pub classics and inventive dishes. The staff is friendly, creating a comfortable dining experience. The establishment often hosts live music events, enhancing the vibrant ambiance. While the interior has a cozy pub feel, the outdoor seating is a great option during pleasant weather. The drink selection is extensive, featuring both traditional and creative cocktails. Keep in mind that peak hours can get busy, but the overall vibe and quality of service make Fox and Fiddle a solid choice for a casual and enjoyable outing. And Karaoke nights are amazing not. Not miss.

I go there occasionally, for a small beer after work, and running chores. The servers are quite nice ( no problem there) So I went today, and I went with my service dog, we sit outside. It's usually empty. The dog is very well behaved. I went to use the restroom, and when I returned, an Indian man approached me (the owner I believe) asking for my dogs I.D. In a very rude manner, saying we are not allowed ''indoors'' (empty a well). Not appropriate, considering that he's seen me there before. Also, if anyone reads this, do NOT eat there, ( trust me, I'll spare the details ) The area is also quite ''sketchy''. They just literally lost a customer, due to ignorance and disrespect.

Service: 3.5/5 - bartender was friendly.. but nothing special, didn’t talk about the food or drinks or ‘up-sell’ anything, no personality! - other servers were talking out loud about wanting to go home.. keep that ish’ where paying customers can hear! Food: 1/5 - potato skins were just trash and 6 tiny little potato half’s, good thing for cheese and bacon otherwise it would be 0/5.. and for the price NOT worth it! Wings: 2/5 - Tasted decent and crispy but for some tiny little wings (the celery and carrots were waaay bigger, not worth the price at all! Alcohol 2/5 - 3 speed ( I know it is light) but tasted like water to be honest) - margarita - wasn’t bad, it wasn’t great either
Food was great as always. Service has slipped a lot in my last couple visits here. The bartender and 2 waitresses were more interested in chatting and checking their phones while casually drinking something from Starbucks. Not impressed by the fact that we waited 10 minutes for someone to ask us if we wanted something to drink. It was 35 degrees Celsius that day so hell ya I want something to drink! Anyhow, the service needs to get back to where it was a year ago. Not sure what has changed, maybe new management? Either way, the food is still great and if you're not thirsty when you get there the wait will likely be worth it.
Pretty good place to go for a drink. Loved the old fashion setting of this place, great vibes as well. There are two rooms, one of the normal bar setting where you sit and chill. The other place is a karaoke place where anyone can sing. That was pretty cool! Good place for drinks, and sit down with your buddies. Large variety of drinks and food, fair prices. Very friendly staff as well. Only complaint that there was an ant in my girlfriend's drink, however they were able to give her a new drink without charging her another drink so that was nice of them. Overall, great experience here 4 /5. Would come back again
One of the best bars in town. Very cozy with a nice food and drinks menu that isn't that expensive. Two separate areas for seating the ground floor and upper level areas where events could be held and require reservations. Ground floor areas could also be reserved. There is a park just besides it, which doesn't charge much at all! Their karaoke nights on Friday, Saturday and Sunday are so much fun. Each and every one of their patrons seems to sing pretty well there! Looks like they frequent the place for that too.. Great for groups, both small and large. I'd certainly recommend this anytime.
Great location. Karaoke Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. Excellent DJ (no attitude) on Saturday night. Web based sign up (fair). Really great crowd, however more formal than other places as everyone is seated. However, very supportive crowd with really talented singers. I will definitely go again. Also, the building is historic complete with plaque that reads: SOMERSET HOUSE 1873 HOME OF J. W. L. FORSTER, PAINTER 1916 - 1938 DESIGNATED UNDER THE ONTARIO HERITAGE ACT

We sat on the patio it was nice Server was prompt and we gave our order waited for wine a good 15 mins and my son went in to retrieve it our server was really busy was actually the bartender 3 staff for whole place two staff were busy hostess was not helping at all. Food came out beef dip with au juice and fries and a buffalo chicken sand a little bland the fries were so hot they burned the inside of my mouth. No server came to check on us asked busser for check. I realize everywhere is understaffed but this was really not a great experience. Food ok experience
Food was fine, but they wanted to charge me extra for mayo for my cheeseburger. I politely declined. Service forgot about us, everything was slightly sticky and while we were there for karaoke, it hadn't materialized by the time we decided to leave. There wasn't a lot to keep us there any longer. Weird place! Probably won't be back despite the ok food. Lots of places around with good-to-great food and less stickiness.

Karaoke lady was so nice and great fun. Buffalo chicken was not good, barely any chicken - mostly just batter and sickly sauce and our waitress was pressuring us to drink more even when we said we were good - one of us said we’re good and she said something along the lines of ‘come on everyone else is getting another’ so she got another drink she didn’t want and another said she was still working on her drink and didn’t need another but the waitress brought her another anyway. did not appreciate that at all. only giving stars for the Karaoke lady
Disappointed. I LOVE Potato skins/boats - however - at the price $11.99 you only get four potato boats; not what I was expecting, nor would have paid for had I known. Not only that, but it took almost half an hour to get my order; and I was the only person in the restaurant! Granted; they are Russet Potatoes, but for $11.99 I would expect six. I don't think that I will be coming back to this pub again because you don't get good value for your money, and it seems to.take an inordinate amount of time for your food to get to you.
Please do not eat here. Everything is dirty. The menus were covered in sticky stuff. The waitress got my order wrong, so I had to eat separate from my partner. I ordered Buffalo chicken poutine.. They used dark meat chicken and it was extremely fatty. I could not eat the chicken. They wanted to charge for extra sauce. And when I mean extra sauce, I mean a quick dollop. The new ownership has let this place go. Sadly.

Place seems decent in general but the owner is a bit of a knob head. I was there alone watching karaoke with a beer and the place started getting full (Pride weekend). I moved to a smaller table to make way for a party of 8, everywhere else was full and the owner came to be and asked me to go to the other bar (no show there). If people wanted a space they could have asked, I don't appreciate being made to feel unwelcome because I'm alone. You didn't have any solo spots for me to sit in..
Me and my twin friend always shared our bday parties. We had it last year and this year. I requested if I could come a bit early and help set up make cake they gave me nice area were I could work on it and get ready for the night. They managed alll the craziness quite well and kareookee was fantastic too. My favorite was the manager though. Very hard working and kind. Helped accomadate us and made sure everything went smoothbfor us. Thank you again to management and the staff. Habib
Started going here years ago when I lived across the street. Really solid pub food. It's not the fanciest but the prices are fair and the food is delicious and satisfying. Decent beer selection and they have a lot of non-IPA options (I hate IPAs). The karaoke is amazeballs and the crowd generally had a great vibe.

I ordered food from here and it was the worst food I have ever tasted in my life. I got buffalo cauliflower and it had no taste at all I couldn't even have more than 2 pieces. I also got buffalo chicken which was so disgusting I couldn't even finish one piece I had to spit it out and almost was going to throw up. Biggest waste of $20 of my entire place. I don't know who would ever give this place more than one star. DONT EVER GO HERE PLEASE
British themed pub. Five thirty on New Years Eve the saloon bar was 75% occupied, yet, not to busy, yet, preparations for the festivities had the expectation of a busier night. Staff were efficient and if you're a regular will conduct friendly banter with you. A good slection of draught beers and lagers. Food looked fine although I didn't try any of the foo and I noticed there is a specials board with daily offerings.
Fantastic place! The karaoke nights on the weekend are worth it because the host really knows how to warm up the crowd. She sings too and is incredibly talented at it. Other than the place has a great menu and prices. The location is a challenge to get to if you're driving but that's not their fault. That's a Toronto infrastructure problem. All in all worth the visit and karaoke nights are the best!
Gabby was an excellent, very friendly and helpful. The problem was the manager and the wings. We ordered "maple bacon" wings (as pictured above) The wings we received had no sauce and were plain. Absolutely no sauce or flavour however, they were cooked well. When we confronted the manager he said, that's how they were meant to be and didn't offer to fix it or do anything about it.
I’ve been here at least a dozen times. Exceptional service and pub fare every time. The clincher: we had a work outing a few years ago (about 20 of us). Now at most places that means no separate bills. Not here though. Our waiter actually created separate bills for everyone. And they were all right! (Note: we didn’t have to ask for separate bills, they just offered)
This is always a reliable place to go to for wings and beer. Great outdoor patio space. The wings come in about 10 flavours, all of which I've tried and are pretty good. They are lightly dusted vs heavily breaded which I prefer. Beer prices are average. Servers are hit or miss. They're usually good but I've experienced occasional unpleasantness from them.
Drinks were pretty cheap here compared to other bars. Had a low key vibe with open mic karaoke on Tues/Fri/Sat. Seems like there is a regular crowd because they were all familiar with the host. But wow, everyone was amazing at singing! I thought it would be a drunken mess but people were genuinely talented. A great place to watch others sing!
Service was much too slow. Taking 20min to take our order, 20min to return with our drinks, and 20mins to check on us. You'd think it was a strategy to lose business because it worked. By the time the server came to check on us, we asked for the cheque. You can guess how long that took...... If you're looking for quick service, go not here.
Went to a quick lunch today as my nieces just got into town and had to be back at work quickly. We were served by Levi and he was such an incredible joy, we decided that we want to come back tomorrow for lunch strictly because of the amazing service. He was such an amazing presence to my sister and I and so great with my (young) nieces.
Waited forever to get into the karaoke section, only for the hostess to let a group of men who got here after us go in before us (so we just left at that point). The bar had loud music that drowned out the karaoke music. The cocktails were watery and tasted like juice. The service took a long time and the staff was not communicative.
The food was amazing and the menu has such great variety. Accidentally got chicken tacos instead of fish tacos at first so check your meal when you get it! There was only one waiter and many tables were occupied so it wasn’t their fault for the mix up. Adding more servers would be beneficial to both business and for the customers.
They give you almost no sauce so you have to order more, and they don't mention that it will be $2. Only found out when I saw my receipt. Seriously, $2 for 4 dunks of plum sauce? Drinks are extremely watered down and they aren't properly staffed so the owner must be cheap.

This place is a real gem! Had such an amazing time here with a birthday celebration I attended. The staff was super nice and food quality was top notch. Amazing prices too! Why go to any "chain" bar / restaurant when you can go to this amazing place in Toronto. I'd definitely recommend and would go back!!
Very awesome place we went for the karaoke and was not disappointed. Even made some new friends! The live band downstairs sounded great and it looked like a busy hive of activity. Upstairs was less populated but the staff was great and the crowd was nice. Would love to go again next time I visit Toronto.

Great karaoke, great crowd and vibe, foods half decent and bevvy menu can cater to everyone. This particular location however has extremely rude wait staff (caddy/b****y), and management is idiotic. This spot is in desperate need of a better hierarchy with some formal CS training. Wasted opportunity.
This place has good food and of course beer. Accessible location around a lot of other places. Something I really like about this place is the large patio. The servers were knowledgeable about what they were talking about and overall I had an enjoyable experience nothing to complain about thank you
The Asian bartender that works at the bar got triggered and is very insecure when I called her out for tipping herself, and she says it is policy to tip herself. What kind of policy is that? She Definitely made that up.

I come in here for a few drinks regularly, and while I enjoy the place, today I was chastised and refused further service for not tipping. As someone who comes here regularly and has basically ALWAYS left a tip - sometimes very generously - this was very disheartening. It is not my JOB to tip.
Good pub experience with karaoke and a wide assortment of cocktails and beers. Some "interesting" walk-ins but that's not the fault of the establishment.

The waitress was sweet as pie but MIA. I had to walk to the hostess to ask for my waitress to show up. The food tasted good but not enough salad dressing (and you pay more for the "extra "). Worst was that I think the clamato in my Ceasar was off and I ended the night throwing up.
Came on Tuesday open mic for the first time. Food was great, service was even moreso (server was amazing and helped with menu/drink choices which I enjoyed thoroughly). Prices were fairly cheap and the open mic was extremely enjoyable too (the host happily livened the environment.
The cocktail was good…BUT, never been to a place where they charge extra for sauce. The server didn’t bother to inform about it. $2 aint a big deal but what’s up w this hidden charge if I didn’t bother to check the receipt. Poor service & dead environment on a Saturday night.

As far as fox and fiddles go, this is one of the best. Food is good and drinks are great. This location is an old house with a few different rooms and levels so it gives a really nice experience. Karaoke in one of the front rooms every Friday generally draws a crowd.
Very rude service as of lately. This used to be my go-to place but since covid restrictions have lifted the new roster of servers are young and extremely inexperienced. I felt like I was being served lunch in a highschool lineup.... Tall about nostalgia/flashbacks

It...is...fine? Like, very standard pub food and the kind of carpet that will always smell of beer. But the servers are generally attentive and the location is central. Lots of stairs = not very accessible, but there is plenty of seating on the ground floor.
I definitely recommend it! Don't expect fancy or pretty interior. This place is good to grab some beer with snacks. Very comfy local pub. I would come again whenever I wanna have some drinks by myself or either with friends. Very friendly staff as well:)
Amazing restaurant with a great outdoor patio. Friendly service and willing to change the TV channel to your favourite sport. Great place to bring your friends to watch a game. It's just outside of Wellesley subway station too which is a huge bonus!!!
Staff are nice, and the clientele is generally pretty chill. There were a few people with some bad energy around, but you get that everywhere. They have a really nice patio, as long as you don't mind the bustle and flow right at Yonge and Wellesley.

The food was excellent. The service was attentive. Unfortunately the upholstery in the booths looks old and stained and I had to wipe crumbs off the seat. I tried to ignore it, but it kinda grossed me out. Overall a good experience, but not great.
I keep getting the same thing from here if seems. This may seem strange but I can't get over how amazing their veggie burger is... I get one roughly every week as a treat and it's made with magic sauce or something because it's devastatingly good.

Love the friendly neighborhood wish feel of this place. Add to that familiar pub fare a great spring summer patio. You end up with the perfect spot to grab a beer and a bite, without having to take out a second morgatge on your home.
It was my first visit to this location. We sat on the patio which was nice. The service was extremely slow but the ribs and chicken combo I shared with a friend was delicious! Oh, their French fries are yummy too. I'll visit again!
Shared a lovely brunch this morning with bottomless mimosas staff were attentive and accomodating, and our food and drinks came out sooner than expected! Great service from Bash who had all the best recs too - a must visit! …
Really does have a British pub feel to it. I loved the variety on the menu, and the server was super considerate and friendly. One also can't go wrong with the food here! Fish and chips here are amazing. So give that a try!

Nice time passed in Fox and fiddle. Beer is a bit pricy around 9/10 dollars the pint but maybe they raised their price because of COVID. I haven't try the food yet but I saw their fries look like delicious.
My second home bar none! Wonderful service, food and prices plus awesome karaoke from Thursday to Sunday. The staff alone are worth going for! Love. Love. Love this place! This is my "CHEERS" bar for sure!
I visited on a Thursday. It was a quiet place on the ground floor lots of people were out on first dates. Music was good very rustic Irish styled pub. Food and beers were decent and not too pricey.
Robert is LITERALLY the backbone of this establishment. I’d he wasn’t here the place would collapse. I’ve never seen a server keep on top of 10 tables at a time and still provide great service.
The karaoke is fine, as are the drinks, but why don't they have more servers? I think there were two waitresses for the entire bar, and they couldn't keep up, which left a lot of us waiting.
Small local pub, pretty much what you'd expect. Decent pub grub, large selection of beers, and karaoke on some nights. The service is decent, though the space is small and oddly laid out.
I had the best time of my life here tonight on this beautiful Saturday. The Karaoke host Elyse Douglas was and is the best host ever. Beautiful inside and out. And she sings awesome too.
Lol staff is always a disappointment here. Got my order wrong and then tried to tell me that what I was getting was a few dollars more and I’d still have to pay the difference.
Decent pub :) servers are really nice. Foods also are good, and they have a pitcher of beer and party plate for 5ppl. Patio in summer is really fun and bustling with customers.
Karaoke was great last night everyone had so much fun, servers were great but the drinks were a bit off, bartender seemed like she was cranky but in general had alot of fun
Always have a good time here. Celebrated my birthday with a bunch of friends! Great service and great food. Location is convenient too; right across from Wellesley subway!
Just had lunch here: not terribly busy but good vibe. Bartender was attentive and friendly. Made a good recommendation for a side with my sandwich. Would recommend.
Food was good but pretty much every draft tap was brand new and so the beer was warm and had no carbonation. We went through 4 tries before getting a decent one.
Erica was an amazing host/waitress. It’s my first time in Toronto and she made this experience so worth it so far! Good food, good vibes, definitely coming back!
Awesome and excellent service from the waitress. Friendly atmosphere I would definitely go back to this location . In the future for drinks and dinner ... …

Decent service, decent selection of beverages and friendly patrons. They do a comedy show on fridays in the upstairs which is pretty fun. Classic English pub.
For Fox and Fiddle, not their best location. Cheap beer helps but the rooms are kind of old and dirty. Wouldn’t go back for dinner but be fine to grab a beer.
For a great time with decent-priced fare and fun atmosphere, check this place out. The karaoke was fun!

Ya this place is decent. If ya like karaoke, they have it pretty regularly like 2-3 times a week I think. Food is pretty good, nice patio space outside.
Amazing food at this very characterful place. The pub is quite old but cosy and with a welcoming, community vibe. Very close to the subway station too.
Bar is a bit grimey and the food is not very good but servers were nice. Had a fun time at karaoke Saturday night. The karaoke host did a good job.
Was there with friends, they appreciate their beer and margarita, but there was no, not one non-alcoholic beverage. The water was iced.
Great place to meet friends after work. I had fish and chips (wedge fries) gave me extra coleslaw and tartar...great stuff
Had the best time last night, staff were great and the vibe from everyone was very comfortable, will be coming back soon
I enjoyed coming here for karaoke on a Friday night. An excellent vibe and friendly crowd. Will come back again soon!
Really enjoyed the Buffalo chicken poutine and the staff were lovely!

Place is really underrated. Come here for karaoke all the time. Super accessible little place right in the village.
Had a great time at a friend's birthday party. Great service from our servers during our hilarious Karaoke night.
