A lovely place of worship in a quiet street in Roppongi, a 5 minute walk from Roppongi Station Gate. I’ve been here on Sundays and weekdays. The choir and soloists are magnificent but sometimes no choir on work days, as can be expected. The community is very warm, welcoming and friendly to strangers. Said to be the only Catholic church with English masses in Tokyo. Several masses on Sundays, the last at 5pm. Anticipated mass on Saturdays at 5pm as well. Wednesday and Fridays mass at 6:30pm with rosary @6:10pm The parish priest (I failed go get his name) is warm, friendly and very hands on with his parishioners and seems to know when fresh faces appear. Then he would ask if they would like to introduce themselves and state where they are from. A nice gesture; and I see strangers linking up after this when they find common ground. Thank you to the Franciscan Chapel community for making me feel at home in a strange country.

catholic church and its beautiful and with history , BUT I had a bizzarre experience with the priest in here after receiving communion he reprimand me and say do not geniflex,I was kind of surprise coz in my 42 years of going to church and receiving communion where even sometimes I see people sometimes kneeling down receiving communion never the priest saying dont do that,I didnt realize at first what he was saying I was like, what he was trying to say?? I just want to recieve Jesus during communion meditate and pray after,,, ,dont geniflex,well maybe explain that during your lecture dont make people uncomfortable and puzzled ,thats not the time do make a converstion with you ,I think as a priest you should never do that,God is almighty! sometimes other priest think they own the church and using their position,God is forgiving God accepts everyone accepts and hear your prayers no matter how you pray,priest are not God

There's a strong sense of community in this chapel, a friendly environment fills the halls during Sunday mass. Some activities are held to support the center's projects which includes bazzars, Christmas Boutique and Bakeshop, among many other things. If you want to meet new friends, stick around after the mass and enjoy a little chat over coffee and doughnuts that are served at the social Hall. Is it your first visit? Be prepared to be welcomed with a warm St. Francis greeting. If you're leaving Japan for good, you will be sent off with a sayonara prayer on your last visit at the Chapel. There's that simple but heart - tugging ceremony that will move you to wish that your next destination would be filled with fond memories. It's proximity to the station and popular tourist destinations makes it a favorite place of worship.

This place has English mass on Sundays at 11am. Located near famous tourism spots in Tokyo, this chapel is so very much reccomended. They provide light beveranges after the mass and books for songs and readings through out the mass ( very helpful ). My home church where I had my baptism long time ago. This church has masses in multilingual language and so many foreigners visits here. 私が幼児洗礼を受けた思い出の教会です。多言語でミサが行われていて外国の方も沢山訪れます。いつも英語のミサだと初めて来た人や日本から母国に帰国する海外の方々をミサの途中で神父様が紹介して全員で拍手で迎え入れたりします。とても暖かい教会です。

i’ve been going here for some time now, english catholic masses (visit the website for times and details), priests and churchgoers are all friendly, all sorts of nationalities, lots of kabayans too, beautiful chapel with great choir, visitors are welcomed at end of each mass, can get crowded sometimes

A nice and warm Roman Catholic church in Tokyo near Roppongi station with a lot of timeslots for English mass for Sunday: Saturday 5 PM, Sunday 9 AM, 11 AM and 5 PM. The priest is very friendly, after the Mass, he waits for every brother and sister to bless them. Church choir is wonderful too.

Most convenient Catholic church with Sunday Masses in English (pre pandemic) at 8AM, 10:15AM, 12NN and 6PM (Saturday 6PM), and weekday Masses at 8AM in English, 7AM in Japanese. Exit 4A or 7 Roppongi station and walk 5-10 minutes. Please check their website for latest schedule post pandemic.

I went there today (April 1,2023) and had confession. I was really nervous because it was my first time there. But the pastor (I’m not sure if He’s a pastor) approached me with a smiling face and accompanied me to the chapel. I really felt welcomed. Thank you so much..

A very convenient church to go to with many English mass times. The chapel is really cosy and I like how they will ask visitors to introduce themselves and where we are from at the end of mass. You can go to Afuri ramen for a meal after mass :)

The chapel is a beautiful to pray. The person in charge of greeting people was not very kind nor welcoming. This was very disappointing, for a christian catholic church, that should welcome people, not send them away. The mass is beautiful.

I spend my Sunday worship here if ever no holy mass held in St.Ignatius Parish in Yotsuya at the campus of Sophia Daigaku...this is my alternate church to go...although located at the inner streets of Roponggi Hills via Toie-Oedo Line

The mass is so solemn, the choir has voices of angels. At the end of the mass, visitors have the opportunity to introduce themselves and tell where country are they coming from, showing diversity and unity in faith and Christianity.

Nice Chapel. Mass in English. It took us some time to locate the chapel. The direction on website needs to be updated. It was 1st friday of the month. We got to experience the way it was celebrated. Very different from Singapore.

Live stream Mass is great to understand today's Gospel since the father's clear voice through the technology. Of course, gathering Mass is best; however, the streaming is so helpful to be blessed much better than I'd expected.

Attended an evening mass here during our trip. This church conducts one of the few English masses available in Tokyo. The service was an interesting experience and visitors like us felt very welcomed.

Very friendly and organized staff. Came there for the Easter Sunday Mass and they have very organized plan for the influx of parishioners. Sermon is not very long but full of lessons and insights.

Simple chapel similar what I used to go when I was young. Chapel building is one thing but the ministry is outstanding (in English). Some seem to forget that. Awesome experience in Tokyo.
