"PREDATORY PARKING LOT BEHAVIOR"
"For over a year I have been going there, and tonight was the last time"
"K, so I know there’s a lot of homeless and struggling people in the area that frequent this location"
"A whole lot of "meh""
"I have always had a positive experience in this store"
PREDATORY PARKING LOT BEHAVIOR. I parked my car for less than five minutes in the lot to run a quick errand hours before the store was to open. It took them less than three minutes to get my car up on the tow truck. I was back before they even left the lot and they charge me 100 dollars to get my car off the truck. At the time I parked I didn’t even realize the store was still closed and was planning to go in and grab some beers after my errand. They would hear NONE OF IT. I understand that during working hours they cannot have people taking up the spots in their lot, as it’s a small lot. I do not see any practical reason why they employ someone to prey on people when the business is closed, and will be closed for hours. It’s a real shame they allow these predatory behaviors outside of their regular working hours because it’s a nice liquor store, but I cannot give my money to a business that allows for such nonsense.
For over a year I have been going there, and tonight was the last time. Everyone there is really friendly and helpful. Except this scraggly slime ball with atrocious breath that, seemingly is new. He doesnt even look like an employee, with poor hygiene and stained clothes, so it must have been my HUGE mistake when I stood in the other line to pay for my goods as it seemed like the only line open. As I hear SOMETHING say "Hey im open, WHY ELSE WOULD I BE STANDING HERE " in an extremely rude tone, I am over come with the most disgusting breath I have smelled. I'll come back when you take out the trash it may be close, but there are plenty of other stores that have better customer service.
K, so I know there’s a lot of homeless and struggling people in the area that frequent this location. However, I come in every time paying, a nice car, a great paying job, well groomed. And though that can’t be communicated over the phone I would hope that when I call asking if you carry THC seltzers that someone wouldn’t abruptly hang up on me given the answer. It was a bit rude and short, and I know exactly who it was. You recently had someone start ringing customers who is larger in size and quite short with guests not even saying hello when they come to the register. I don’t know, for businesses struggling right now I just feel like you could do better.
A whole lot of "meh". The selection is passable for their size. Prices aren't very good, though I've seen worse. Staff is competent and quick, and friendly enough, but service is rarely great. All around, the place is better than nothing, but it seems like the owners have decided to firmly rest on the advantage of their location and being the local "default" liquor store, instead of trying to do anything to make their shop a destination. If it's the only place within winter walking distance, like it is for me, it could be a lot worse. If you're driving, you probably want to go elsewhere.
I have always had a positive experience in this store. The staff have always been expedient and friendly enough. I know that it can be very busy at times, especially on weekend nights before store closing time. It has a good selection of wines. From what I can tell, there are a fair amount of brands of beer and spirits that range from inexpensive to higher priced.
As far as going into liquor stores is kind of like a special feeling of joy, but it is even nicer when you go in to a liquor store and you're noticed and you talk to me. I don't go into liquor stores or drink very often but when I do go looking for what I do like and it's good to know this liquor store here you will have everything you need!
Sometimes I come here with my friends but not anymore now. I overheard one of the workers (with long matted hair and a gandalf-looking beard) say a racial slur. I overheard him talk to his friends, and then refer to his co-worker who is Asian, and called him Bruce Lee... Like, everyone in the vicinity was uncomfortable, like it's 2018, rip.
First time here; was passing through the area. It's not in the best neighborhood. They had a pretty good size wine collection, organized by country of origin, which was cool. The cashier was nice enough. However, the first thing I noticed when I walked in was a bit of a funky odor, so I would probably hesitate to return because of that.
could be maintained better ... the staff are friendly, and I seem to find what I am looking for without much issue. They seem to get in some special items that not usually carried and those are fun to explore. Gives me a reason to drop in weekly - if I need liquor or not
Why the person below me thinks anyone cares how she was dressed and that they would carry thc drinks at a small liquor store, who knows, but it's probably due to her being an idiot. Convenient place, if you aren't a stingy ***** like "Jessica Miller"
I go here multiple times per week, always in stock and quick to get in and out. I don't believe for a second any of the reviews that whine about getting towed. Roughly half of my trips here I drive and I've never seen a tow truck in their lot.
Stock a lot of local beers and try to keep a wide selection for as small as the store is. Can bring your pet with and they got treats as well. Atmosphere feels a little dated but staff is great and they keep the property clean for a city area.
It's my home neighborhood liquor store, great selections, amazing beer and whiskey selections, good wine selection, rums are well varied as are tequilas and sauzas, lots of mixers and the cashiering staff are welcoming and professional!
Small and expensive went for a bottle of wine and it was $2 more than most places. If you're like me and have an $8-$15 range, you all of the sudden have to become bougee. I'm there to pick up liquor not going for the ambience.
Glad they finally addressed the issue of people taking all the parking spaces to go drink coffee all day! Made it better for people that are actually there to shop. On top of that there’s a good selection for a small store.
if you’re going to this place and getting a coffee or sandwich from Jimmy Johns make sure you tell the person inside BEFORE you do, otherwise they will tow your car within minutes. Absolutely ridiculous but lesson learned.
Apparently getting coffee at the building next door before coming into to get liquor here gives the management the right and desire to impound your car! Do not park in lot. I Do not even advise buying your liquor here.
Overpriced. Went a few times and never found anything worth the price. They had a wine "on sale" that was a buck more than the normal price for the same exact wine on the shelf round the corner. Really?!
The staff are wonderful, always so nice & respectful! Great Prices! & They Keep Their Shelves Stocked! Whats NOT to like about this store? I cant think of anything negative. …
I think this liquor store is really good they do lacks some of the forties that other people would be wanting in this area however they have an alright right selection for the size of the store.
Stopped by there last week (5/15/10). Their selection is small and their prices are high - compared to surrounding stores. Nothing positive to say really (well the parking was decent I guess...)
Local place. A bit more expensive but the convenience is perfect. They close up tight at 9:55 sharp! Nit the best neighborhood but the staff is great and the security guys are handsome! …
This liquor store has been here for many year, l can go back as far as 1977. Always keeping their shelves stocked. A nice friendly neighborhood liquor store. Respectfully, Floyd T
Always glad for your business. Inner city store so it's a no so great neighborhood in the Eve and weekend nites. Definitely would shop there again, great selection of wines also
Great, locally owned store with a good variety of products and decent prices. They employ a security guard to help with potential issues due to the location. Parking lot a plus!
If your just pulling in from a long hard day at work and it’s 9:50 pm on a Saturday, you can just forget about it. Because they’ve already locked up and all the lights are off!
It's a great liquor store but for one thing; I'm in a wheelchair and the aisles are somewhat close for me and it's a little hard to maneuver but otherwise, it's a good store.
The employees are nice but the managers/owners are the pettiest store runners I've come across. I wish there was any other liquor store within walking distance of my place
Great neighborhood place with efficient, helpful staff. Surprisingly diverse selection at reasonable prices. Tip - don't park here if you are going somewhere else!
Poor customer service, predatory pricing model, regular towing cars from the lot. No need to spend your money there when there are plenty of other stores nearby.
Small community liquor store; The store is small but it seemed to have what the locals in the area wanted... not much to brag about but the service was ok.
Terrible service, I live nearby so I used to go quite often, but after being treated like garbage various times I would recommend just find somewhere else
Forgot my ID yet the guy at the register was still really polite and nice about the situation ... I love how much of the good good fancy beer they have
Honestly, this place doesn't have the best selection, prices, or service, and it's often filled with homeless people, but the location can't be beat!
Small (refined?) selection, some nice staff, overpriced. For wine, go to the wine and cheese store on Lake Street and Grand in Minneapolis.
Support your local liquor store. Then toss a dollar to that dude down on his luck outside. (Said he was from Melbourne. I'm skeptical.)
Small but deadly, and always has your poison in stock. Just your average, trusty, small and local, liquor store supreme. ♂️ …
Always fast and friendly service. Despite the stress the employee’s probably experience in the area. It’s still our go to store
Nothing necessarily wrong with the employees or establishment, just not the kind of neighborhood id visit just to get alcohol
Really friendly staff and decent prices. The new security guard is a teddy bear, I asked nicely and he let me hold his gun.
This place was good someone came in steeling and they just got it from them told them not to come back. Didn't call police
Great, quick service, friendly employees who get to know their regulars, and competitive pricing. Definitely worth a stop.
Love this place! The staff is always friendly and I feel safe in that area of Nicolette ave with security always outside
Had specialty N/A beer that the staff recommended and I loved it. Limited parking but otherwise a great experience.
Poor customer service. Have seen tow scam for people who park in the lot. Be careful, take your dollars elsewhere.
Great staff friendly and helpful. Nice clean store and a great place in the neighborhood! Fair prices on liquor!!
They let you bring your dog in and have treats for them. Its a small selection, and the beer is usually warm.
Garbage service, terrible selection, parking almost non-existent. Never give this place your business.
They're the most likable and respectable liquor store I know with reasonable prices and friendly staff
I live in the neighborhood n it's very convenient for me to get wut I need the employees r very nice
Ok store a bit skatchy (i mean the customers) but i am not from down town so maybe normal for locals
I don't go there a lot I go to Chicago discount liquor is cheaper than Franklin and Nicollet liquor
Nice little stop with good hours. Speedy service and solid selection for site on the smaller side.
Is the place I go to get my drink on where I can find some of the best wine sales in good deals
Best prices in the area. Friendly staff. Right off of three major bus routes, the 2, 17 and 18.
Just spare the moment to get a beer you know I'm saying but it got good customer service there
This place is like a family business is warm and comfortable and they serve you with respect
Great store and super conveniently placed in comparison to where I live. Staff is nice too!
Didn't have no problem parking and finding what I needed was a breeze and no long lines
Fair wine selection and decent rates and other liquor also a selection of local beers
Lots of variety, price is little bit higher but still a ok. The parking lot is huge.
Every time I go, I always have friendly service, and it's always stocked well …
Great selection even though I didn't get anything. My friend was the one shopping.
Easy in and out. Their display and set up is probably the best in the cities
I found lambrousco and stella in cans. I didnt find zonin lambrousco though.
Great Neighborhood Liquor Store! Get to know the staff. It's worth it.
Prices are ok, depends on what you buy, staff are nice, good location.
Different selection of liquor and spirits and in a decent neighborhood
The nicest people work there, great prices, what more can you ask for?
solid booze selection. I can't complain. people are really nice also!
Great customer service being kind goes alone ways …
Cool Chill Peeps that work there including security buddy..
They had what I was looking for and Great Customer Service.
Very friendly neighborhood libations fulfillment center.
Prices aren't anything special. Selections pretty good.
great for the basics, not too many mixes or craft beer
My favorite store but never have any specials or deals
Great liquor store. Small Mom and Pop. Opens at 8 AM
Staff was friendly, huge selection, unique drinks.
Decent prices, good customer service as always...
Staff aren't always friendly and prices are high
Great selection of local and speciality beers.
Always the spot.. Cool prices and fast service
Good selection prices could be better though
Love this neighborhood store. Great people.
Good staff and store but they close early.
Great food good people nice place to be

Don't care for it! Price is not cheap!
Decent selection. Quick parking, free.
I would give them 0 stars if I could
