"We left two rings an engagement ring , a band that accompanied it to be cleaned and resized to a bigger size under purchased warranty"
"The ABSOLUTE worst!! For one they wanted to argue with me what my stone was"
"So this might be a little bit biased since my mom was a manager for the company for years (now retired) but I wanted to give 5 stars to the customer service especially: I have a pretty unique engagement ring with a tight twist and the band that technically matches it doesn't really seem to look right when I put it on"
"Brought in my $40 Casio watch to get the battery replaced"
"Went in the get a new battery for my watch - they were able to help with that, nicely"
We left two rings an engagement ring , a band that accompanied it to be cleaned and resized to a bigger size under purchased warranty. My boyfriend purchased and ariel ring and that was to also be resized to fit me, so all in total we were supposed to pick up 3 rings. When I went to pick up the ring's I showed my I'd and the store merchant greeted me in a standoffish manner. She questioned me about my receipt and I said we got a call saying the ring's were ready and that all I needed was an I'd. I told her my boyfriends name FYI he's of anglo descent and her demeanor changed.there was 2 of 2 rings not the three that I was expecting. My heart dropped and I was like "give me a second my boyfriend is in the parking lot " because this can't be we turned in 2 rings for cleaning and resizing and he purchased a ring for my birthday. The missing ring was three karats and was the bigger one out of all the three which was very suspicious that they only had the band and the ariel ring not the engagement ring. Then when we came back my boyfriend and I he said"I have insurance I forgot to mention and I also have a Fred Meyer card you should be able to look that up" upon that statement the lady went to some drawer of hers and claimed she had missed seeing a note from the jeweler claiming the ring was still being repaired and I said "resized and cleaned" by the jeweler. My boyfriend asked for a print out of the receipt and she was just plain out rude and hostile about printing the paperwork out. She also threw the swing door which they use to enter the display area where they pull out the jewelry from. We called the manager and made the complain about the customer service we received. The manager seemed to make a remark as we walked away like along the lines of" God " as if we had done something wrong and she asked us to not write a bad review but we had to because this ruined my boyfriend's only day off with such a scare of one of my ring's suddenly not being located. The whole incident seemed shady none the less and the manager blamed it all on covid but really their incompetence was the main issue or their failed intent to just keep my ring thinking we did not have insurance or proof of purchase which could easily be seen and printed out with the Fred Meyer credit card. DO NOT TRUST THIS PEOPLE WITH YOUR BELONGINGS GET INSURANCE ALWAYS BECAUSE THEY CAN SUDDENLY MAKE THEM OUT TO BE LOST If you need to resize or clean . I will be getting a more expensive ring under warranty because I have no idea why they made the ring to not be found at the time I went to pick up. I do not trust them and I would advise all people to get your diamonds tested after getting a cleaned ring back or altered in any way.this place is very unprofessional and Shauna was the sales associate that I would avoid at all cost she is very hostile and discriminatory especially against hispanics just screaming and throwing a fit if asked to do her job of providing good customer service and a print out of your own receipt as if the paper it was printed on was more expensive than the actual jewelry. We paid for insurance and we felt it was our right to question where the most expensive piece of jewelry was and why it was kept for a longer period. This was a very bad experience at Fred Meyer jewelry very intimidating and hostile environment that my one year old had to witness. I forgot to mention my boyfriend stayed in the car with the baby to have him not come into the store but due to the incompetence we experienced he had to sort out where my ring was and we were not even given the ring and they told us it would be ready in a week . We only walked out with two rings. If this happens to you be very cautious and just get a more expensive ring it seems as if you leave your rings for cleaning they might "loose it ". most importantly get a warranty I can't stress that enough otherwise you might as well be at the mercy of such bad service and the situation of not holding anyone accountable for a lost ring that you know you turned into them.
The ABSOLUTE worst!! For one they wanted to argue with me what my stone was.....for two they had a new person who didnt understand what was wrong with my ring regardless of how many times they looked under the microscope. I needed my engagement ring resized a half size bigger and fixed in two places that were separated from the band. The new lady still wrote down what the issue was regardless, I was called when only one of my rings were ready and made the trip for no reason, the goldsmith was out sick and unreachable? I was told my ring would be done 7/31/18 dropped them off 7/23/18. Recieved a call 7/31 that the goldsmith was out sick. I call 8/1 to get an update to find out he was in late today and didnt even touch my ring yet?! Oh and then they didnt "start the clock" until 7/25 which I wasnt told at all. And that it would be ready until most likely Monday 8/6/18........non of this was great from "hello" poor communication and bad customer service in person and on the phone. I ended up getting my ring today without them touching it and will be taking it somewhere else entirely! Oh and they "really" liked my diamond earrings.......they were $15 off a Walmrt spin rack....do NOT take your jewelry here.
So this might be a little bit biased since my mom was a manager for the company for years (now retired) but I wanted to give 5 stars to the customer service especially: I have a pretty unique engagement ring with a tight twist and the band that technically matches it doesn't really seem to look right when I put it on. Thus began the search for a better wedding band. I had gone to so many stores and felt disappointed when someone suggested I do a ring guard/wrap. I thought it was a brilliant idea and then continued looking. I went to this FMJ while grocery shopping one day and was welcomed by the staff. They were literally so amazing. I then brought my fiance and Grace helped us. She was absolutely amazing! Every time I have been back to check up on it to see if the price had changed or if I just wanted to look again, she was there and helped me with a smile. I ended up going back today and buying it from her! 1000% recommend. I didn't even want to look anywhere else after that.
Brought in my $40 Casio watch to get the battery replaced. Was told, “If it has screws on the back like that, we can’t do them”. These are BASIC screws, typical of any watch backing. When I asked why, I was told, “Because if we lose the screws, we can’t replace them”. If you lose the screws??? What kind of place is this? Don’t you have a work station in the back for that? They watched me do it myself on the glass case with a screwdriver I bought for $3.99 at the cash wrap. “Tell me why I’m more qualified to do this than you?” I asked. “Company policy”, I was told, “we can’t risk losing the screws”. Lol, get outta here with this complete lack of service. What is happening, lol?!
Went in the get a new battery for my watch - they were able to help with that, nicely. Had me look at their jewelry while I waited. Beautiful jewelry, nice variety of various price points. They were kind, but too aggressive on the sales tactics for my liking - but I suppose that goes with the territory being in Fred Meyer. Seemed overpriced, based on my experience - which is admittedly dated.
I went in today to buy my wife a pendant for her birthday, was very pleased with the service I got. The two ladies working at the time were AWESOME! They got me what I was looking for in a timely manner and had big smiles that were noticeable even with masks on.
Headed to Fred Meyers to get my watch battery taken care of on my Nixon. Service was quick, and I’d definitely go there again. It was about $15. Linda was super sweet! Very helpful and allowed me to peruse jewelry while I waited on my watch.
Matthew was very knowledgeable and very helpful! If you are thinking about getting a watch ask for him, he knows his stuff. Laicy helped me pick out the perfect engagement ring for my fiancé. Thanks guys!!!! <3
I like this location. Found this little number on clearance and bought the protection plan. It took a week for my ring to be sized and come back. Sales associates are really nice. Would recommend.
Good service. Fixed my watch band with a smile. Limited selection of bands but overall positive experience.
I bought a new watch band for my husband. The jewelry clerk was very nice and very helpful.
