Halyna was a brilliant guide, entertaining, informative and always willing to ask any questions we might have. She was able to adapt the content of the tour depending on what the group was more interested in, and perfectly balanced the history of the city with the impact the war has had on its people. I had a brilliant time, and the tour was both engaging and at times serious if it needed to be, but I couldn’t ask for anything more. Would highly recommend anyone going to Lviv to take this tour, as it is amazing that the tours continue despite the war and smaller tourist numbers, something shows the true spirit of Halyna and all Ukrainians!

We had the English Tour and it was a bit underwhelming to be honest. The places that were shown were definitely great but we hardly got much history about any of the monuments. We had a lot of questions about the monuments/sights and most of the time the answer was "I don't know", which is not something you expect from a guide. We had to do a paid tour the next day to get to know all the sights and the history associated with them. Maybe it was a one off case, and I hope they fix it soon. As a personal opinion, if I see the same person (I don't want to name the guy) again for another tour, I would most likely skip it.

It was a wonderful walk with the delightful Helen (Halya), who was born and raised in Lviv and attended the University here. She also worked at the Terror museum. She is a professional historian and it shows in the detail she has on all aspects of Lviv's history. Her english is immaculate. Despite the familial tragedy of the war she still spends time to show people around this delightful and vibrant culture city. The war is visible all around the walk but the Lviv(ian) residents resilience is on remarkable show. She is putting any tips towards the war effort. Highly recommended.

Helen was a great guide, with a good understanding of the whole city and a bunch of curiosities on every corner we visited, besides recommendations on cafes, restaurants and places to visit. We had a pleasant walk all over the four different historical areas and interesting discussions about how diverse Lviv used to be all along its history. Highly recommended :)

Had a 2 hour tour with Helen yesterday. She was absolutely wonderful. The tour was informative and we learned a lot of the history of Lviv. Her stories were funny and she helped us with finding cool places to eat and check out. I would recommend doing this tour 100%. One of the best tours I’ve ever been on

Świetny pomysł na rozpoczęcie samego pobytu we Lwowie, polski Tour był darmowy, a przewodnik bardzo dobrze przygotowany - całkiem konkretny, z dużym zamiłowaniem do samego miasta, chętnie odpowiada na zadawane pytania - mimo strasznie parszywej temperatury - bardzo nam się podobało! Polecam :)

Helen showed me around in Lviv for 2,5 hours. She shared historical facts but also really personal stories. Because of this tour I got a better understanding of the current situation in Ukraine. Thank you so much, Helen. It was an amazing experience!

Nice tours around this amazing city. It’s free like on most cities but you just need to give a tip at the end but depends on how much you want. You will definitely find some super interesting places in the city it’s a must while here.

Amazing tour with amazing guy who spoke clear polish. Tour took us around most important parts of old city. Recommending to join whenever you see the yellow umbrella :).
