Been getting no response from the glynde manager Ann or returned calls and team since I reached out on the 4/11 about our order so here I am with much frustration… Purchased Sorrento modular first week of November on the extra 25% off sale day. We ordered in store and were promised by Barb that it was in stock and we would definitely have it within a week. This obviously made our decision to buy it easier as all other shops we had been to have a long wait on lounges. We were also asked to pay in full as the item was in stock, told we would get a delivery text the following day. When I did not receive the text I called the store , I got the store manager Ann who was nothing but rude and said it’s out of her hands there was a computer error. She then said you can expect it early December, we checked our online account today and the date has been pushed back from the 16/12 till the 22/12. Ann said she would send off an email to head office to see if there was anything they can do, when I rang her to follow up she said they had not gotten back to her and said you can have a refund. We do not want a refund, we want our couch as promised . I’ve since lodged a report to CBS for misleading information. Also if the item is not in stock you are not required to make a full payment it is just a deposit, I also contacted the customer help email and they said you need to talk to the store. It’s very sad that people are so desperate for a sale they feel the need to wrongly mislead people so they can meet there targets. We are now left with no lounge and no answers. Very disappointed no one from the stores has returned our calls with an explanation.

We recently received our brand new freedom lounge we had been so excited to receive for the past 7 weeks! It is the 3 seat hermitage ( the priciest of their lounges) We didn't realise the lounge came from china until after the purchase, which was our own fault really but figured we loved it and trusted freedom! So, 7 weeks later along arrives our hermitage. We payed extra for freedom delivery. The delivery truck was a random truck not a freedom truck with two men who plonked the boxed up lounge upside down in our lounge room. When we unpacked the lounge we removed the plastic sheeting covering it, whoever had packaged it in china STICKY TAPED the plastic sheet to the leather and when removed, the entire top coat of leather colouring came off with it and the huge piece of sticky tape had the colouring all over it. This happened on two placed on the new lounge, absolutely ruined. We were so upset! If we knew the leather was THAT cheap and nasty we would NOT have purchased the lounge. Spending over $3,300 that is not what you expect to receive. We 100% Regret shopping lounges at freedom and have asked for a refund. the lounge has been collected. Have since gone to SA lounge suites at gepps cross who we have purchased 2 lounges off - both made in ADELAIDE - Not China.

very bad after purchase service, I have purchased brand new dinning table for two weeks, and it have the wood extension problem( two big bulges on the edge of that table). I sent the photos to the warranty department, they ring me today, and says it is my problem, because i did not clean the water or soup on the table within 5 mins. When i purchased the table no one mensioned anything about that, then the client service says i need to ask or check online, none of their staff have responsiblility to tell the client. Then she try to encourage me to talk to other people outside of their business if i am still not happy. it is a very bad customer service i ever had, I have been a loyal customer with freedom for years, and spent over $10,000 in the store, the way they treat me make me feel really bad. they dn not care the customer feeling, all they say to me is " that's the business decision, it is your resposible to check online or in store, if you not happy, talke to the people outside the business".

I have been waiting 3 months for a piece of furniture that was meant to take 5 to 7 weeks, according to their own paperwork. I have called once a week for the past 5 weeks, only to be told 'it should be here soon' . There is no other number to call to get any real answer, the sales staff have to email another office and will not get a response 'for 3 business days'. Covid aside, there has been absolutely no transparency - for example an email or phone call explaining the delay would have done wonders. But no. Last week the manager told me she'd keep an eye on it and call me back, but she didn't. So I spent another 30 minutes on the phone again today to be told the same thing. They have no idea where it is or when I can expect it. Beware. The customer service once they have taken your money is non-existent. And there's no other number to call, not even on their web site. Awful. I'd give them no stars if I could. The worst service. And they still have my money....

Scam!!! Membership scam-I spend more than $20000 on this store on 2017. I was quite happy with the service at that time. when the staff asked me spend $100 to join the membership then I will get $50 voucher every year after that. I didn’t even think about it as it Sounds like a good deal to me. This year I came to the store and prepare to spend the $50 dollars voucher and when I checked out, the staff told me they can’t find me on the system. After a while, They told me that type of membership stop 2 years ago. They looks like they don’t even bother to explain and it doesn’t come with apologise.I don’t know what is going on here but thank you for the poor explanation. Not coming back again anymore.

Absolutely disgusting customer service from Jessica the store manager and Kim who works on customer service calls. I ordered a couch on the 23rd of December, it did not arrive until after 4 weeks. When the couch did arrive it was damaged with a disgusting mark on the velvet. I was told in ten days I’ll be contacted by customer service, I am still following this up daily and have just been getting nothing but rude remarks and getting told that i have to continue to wait. Have still got no answers. Jessica the store manager made feel so upset on the phone, I was really excited about this purchase and freedom. She has made me feel that not valued as a customer and have received no apology.

Absolutely disgusting customer service. We ordered curtains and were told it would be a 2-4 week wait for some of our order to come in. After 9 weeks we rang multiple times for an update, each time getting told someone would follow it up and call us back, never happened. We finally get told it will be another 3 months. After requesting a refund we got a partial refund and were told we need to follow it up with Marion Freedom to get the rest of our refund because part of our order was transferred from there! Im rather shocked at how poor the service has been and now we have to go running around to get our money back because of Freedom's incompetence.

Spent weekend choosing sofa on Website, toss up between 2. Went in with pretty good idea of our needs, decided on better quality leather and comfort. Half an hour in store at 10am on a Monday morning we weren’t approached by any of the young assistants flitting about and avoiding eye contact. So asked an older woman (presuming experience) and was told ‘just back from hols, can you ask someone else’. Was I having a bad hair day!! Or maybe just not presentable enough (wearing shorts on a hot day). Across the road was another furniture shop who were absolutely brilliant. Spent our $5000 there, very happy our trip wasn’t wasted.

Great store, well set out with room to move, helpful, cheerful staff. The Christmas decorations are excellent. LOVE the way the store is set up with different areas such as dining, living, bedroom areas. Large choice of furniture and accessories, from ready made curtains for different window tracks to various types of bed heads and beds. Cushions galore in so many amazing colour schemes - if you're looking for cushions you will probably leave the store with some beautiful purchases. Ceiling lights, floor lamps, table lamps with a variety of bases and shades to choose from, bedside lights - what more can I add?

We needed a new couch and while all the sales were on knew we had to check out what was around Found our perfect couch and was helped by Alayna who answered all of our questions and explained the warranty We also purchased the additional warranty and leather protection Her service was outstanding and professional She made sure we were comfortable and felt welcome and safe Even signed up to the loyalty program and will be getting vouchers to come back again The store was well lit, very clean and easy to navigate Everyone was well presented and friendly making sure we were ok Thank you for a positive experience

Horrible experience. We ordered a bed in Mile End. It was promised to be delivered in 5-7 weeks. After 1 week of delay we decided to call and ask where’s our bed. A lady answered that the deliver time is 4 months now and they can’t do anything. Nobody called us beforehand to give a heads up about such massive delay. When we started asking her to escalate it to the management and try to speed up, she told us a standard learned phrase and hung up on us without listening until the end.

Rose and Lucy made my day shopping at Freedom Mile End, I was greeted with warm smiles and a caring approach, which I appreciated! For shopping all (over again) new beginnings is a daunting affair but was not as frustrating with Freedom actually having customer interation and listening to my concerns over just wanting a sale made the difference. Many stores at Mile end but only two stores were interested in greeting me and wanting to assist. Thank you Rose and Lucy John

The worst after sale customer service possible!! Nobody will take responsibility for items and handballs you to an online warranty claim who then handballs you back to the store. How Freedom are still in business astounds me! I will never spend another cent with freedom and would highly recommend to anyone to buy elsewhere. We have also just purchaser a large lounge from King Furniture who were brilliant - it’s chalk and cheese the difference between these companies.

I have an extremely bad services with this store. I made order on May for a couch and the sales told me that the couch will be arrived within 3-4 weeks, we paid fully amount and already waited for 2 months. I have been told that I have to wait for another 2 weeks when I make a phone to the staff . Seriously!!!! This is my fourth times to call the store for chasing up my couch. Every time I got answer is "you have to wait for another 2 weeks".

All the dandy staff are too busy wandering around or talking to each other while packing / stocking shelves to notice that a customer might need some assistance but when you reach the counter to purchase something, staff are ever so friendly. Stock was not available in a reasonable timeframe required so ended up having to purchase online for my wanted items. If you’re a member you’ll get free delivery on certain items purchased.

Stood around for more than 30minutes waiting to buy a 3 grand couch. One staff walked past and asked if they could help, we said yes, she said "oh I can't help you you'll have to get someone from furniture" pointing over her shoulder as she walked away in the opposite direction. Well why ask in the first place!? Went to the counter only to be rudely told "I'm ahhhctually with a customer". Waited another 15 minutes and left.

Whilst i lucked out a few times in things we wanted to order Adam went above and beyond to try and help me get what we wanted. He was so lovely and very polite, calling all the stores hunting for me. He even did a follow up phone call on my mobile to let me know is was in fact sold out. Whilst that was disappointing, his service was impeccable. Thank you Adam.... Since then i have been to see him 2 times for his help :)

If you need the furniture in your place within a week go get it somewhere else. Has been waiting for two chairs and a table for over 5weeks still haven’t got it. The staff promised will be delivered in two weeks, three weeks max. Is now the sixth weeks. The other table I ordered weeks ago from mattblatt has already delivered, still haven’t heard anything from freedom. One star is overrated. :(

My advice is do not buy from here. The salesperson assured me my order was on track less than a month out from the expected delivery date. Now it has been delayed. Check their Facebook...everyone is having the same issue. So disappointed and upset. Make sure you report to the ACCC. Edit: they still have not responded to my numerous emails however have replied with excuses to this review.

Please employ staff who know what they're doing in your store. Served by a lady who was impatient. We asked for a written quote of a loung suite. We chose a different colour from the display lounge. When I got home the quote was almost $400 more. This was not mentioned to us. I called to enquire about it only to be told she has no knowledge of lounge suites. Poor service at Mile End

I wish if I could give 0 star. First of all misleading information provided by one of the employees. Moreover my order was cancelled without my authority. Both the employees have resigned now. I don't have my refund nor my furniture post waiting for 5 months. Still struggling to talk to store manager. Very poor experience. Please avoid buying from freedom

Freedom have a very large showroom at Mile End. The range of furniture is awesome. From modern dining to relaxed living, there is something in this showroom you will admire. We spent a long time just viewing the huge range. The sales staff were pleasant and were quite happy to assist us any way they could. For us a it was a very good buying experience.

They just can't seem to get anything right and it's exhausting. Their orders take six months to arrive. I bought something online with a gift card and got a call saying there was a mistake in the system and it wasn't actually in stock, it had been discontinued so too bad. Then the amount was never refunded to the gift card. hopeless. …

Terriable service given by the team members and supervisor, really disappointing considering all I wanted to do was place an order. Left with out making a purchase despite having the exact couch I wanted. I would recommend shopping elsewhere as I found a better couch and was provided actual service at a similar price point.

You should consider purchasing from Ikea rather than Freedom. I did not realise I still had to 'allen' key everything together and the direction provided were definitely not helpful at all. I have put together many Ikea items easily but directions provided with Freedom furniture - not helpful at all. Need a science degree.

I've been to the Mile End store a handful of times and staff are consistently unfriendly and unhelpful. Always ignored and when I do approach the checkout and interupt two of the ladies from the daily gossip I'm met by such sour looking faces. It's off putting going to the store will take my money and time elsewhere.

Love shopping at Freedom. They aren't cheap but either are their products. I bought a leather sofa that is being built to order with the peace of mind that no one has sat on it. They threw in a cleaning pack and 5 years extended warranty. Can't wait until it's built which will take up to 8 weeks. So be it, l'm rapt.

Just went in, had 3 items, they refused to sell us the set of drawers. The reason, it was their last one in stock!!! We left the other two items as we had worked out a combo for home. In these hard times you would think they would be happy to make a sale. They missed out on $300 in their register today.

After a long wait for the modular sofa, had mismated colored legs and one of the legs were bent/ damaged. Waited 3 months for the product to arrive. I have fixed the bend myself but won’t be returning and won’t recommend. 3 month update. The feathers inside are coming out Change from 1 star

I would give zero stars if I could! Have been waiting for our queen bed frame since February with an estimated delivery date for August. Delay of one month to September but when it arrived, it would not be assembled as the drill holes were very badly misaligned between the bed components.

my couch came 3 months earlier than expected, im so impressed with the delivery service also. I was hesitant at first because of the reviews but they have obviously fixed the previous issues. If you pay for the delivery do the sofa, they assemble it and take the packaging with them!

They do not disclose of known delivery delays at the time of purchase. Significant and excessive wait times on furniture and then refuse any sort of refund or order cancellation even when items are unreasonably overdue. Take my advice and go elsewhere.

We didn't buy the couch that we wanted as Freedom want 100% payment with an expended 6-7 month wait! PLUSH got our sale with an equally lovely couch with only 1/3 deposit required and only a 3-4 month wait.
