Can’t say enough about Neal and the crew at Fresh Start Movers! These guys made what could have been a really horrible experience super easy, and the process was seamless. We needed to make a move quickly, and were quite concerned that we would not be able to schedule movers, due to the high demand during the summer months. After speaking with Neal, he assured us that he would be able to get us scheduled within a week. He immediately asked his estimator to come out within a few days; when he arrived, he was extremely courteous, professional and friendly. He also did a very thorough job when going through our place, so that he could accurately determine how many men would be required and how long it would take to complete the job. The moving crew came out just a few days after the estimator, and they were absolutely amazing! Such a hard-working group of guys, and they took extreme care with each and every piece of our furniture. They wrapped everything in blankets first and then put on layers of plastic wrap. They also thought things through before shifting larger pieces, to ensure that walls were not hit/damaged and floors were not scratched when taking things out of our previous residence and into our new home. These guys were a force, and worked so well together! They also seemed to genuinely enjoy what they were doing, and were super polite and friendly throughout, even though it was a hot and humid day. I absolutely would recommend Neal and Fresh Start to anyone that has a move planned. Moving can be incredibly stressful, but Neal and his crew will take care of you and will put your mind at ease. Look no further, your moving company has been found! We just finished our move from Lincolnwood to Glenview and Neal and his team were incredible. Polite, fast, and hard working. I must have called at least 15 moving companies and they all just felt the same, no one stood out until Neal. Neal is the reason I chose his company. When I first reached out to FSM, I immediately liked Neal over the phone. I could hear in his voice that he was going to take care of me and was genuine. I was so disappointed after finding out they couldn't accommodate our original moving date b/c they were booked. But here's what won my business, he offered to help me find another company and he said he would check around and call me back later. I never thought he would follow up, and sure enough that same night he called to check on me to make sure I found someone. So the second my moving date changed, I called Neal to see if their team was available. BEST. DECISION. EVER. Everyone was so great and hardworking (15 hour job!!!!) they handled everything with care and nothing was broken or scratched! A few of the guys even gave me hugs when they were leaving because we had bonded so much during the day. They were awesome and if I have to move again, Neal and his team will be there. I hate to be the first to write a bad review for Fresh Start, but I am writing this in hopes that others will avoid the stress of moving with Fresh Start. I have moved 6 times in the last few years, each time using movers to pack and unpack all of my belongings. Out of the movers I have used, Fresh Start was the worst. While the movers packed everything properly, the manner in which things were unpacked was unacceptable. A dresser was left in my kitchen, my shoes were left in a three foot high, haphazard pile in the back of my closet. When I asked the movers to please put the shoes away, they put them in random areas throughout my place - some under the bed, some in the pantry, etc. The picture below is just one example of the disarray my place was left in. When I contacted Neal to discuss the poor service, he was kind enough to offer to fix the problem. I had already lost trust and confidence in Fresh Start’s ability to unpack my items in an organized manner and declined his offer. I spent at least seven hours trying to fix the chaos my place was left in. I would not recommend Fresh Start if you are looking for a full-service move.

Fresh Start Movers are amazing. They recently helped us move from our 3 bedroom 2400 sq ft home to our new house. First, scheduling the move couldn't have been easier. They're fast to respond and are very easy to work with in terms of scheduling as we had to reschedule twice. They gave us the option to do an estimate via FaceTime or in person. We opted for the latter and of course they wore masks and booties which was important since we have carpet. The estimate was a breeze, they tally up the furniture, ask questions that I didn't even consider, confirm destination and provided a very reasonable estimate very quickly. The actual move was great. They were prompt, organized, and efficient. They brought a crew of three for our home and they went to work. They knew how to disassemble beds so they could be reassembled, covered and wrapped our couches & tables, and even wrapped our nice patio set and grill. Moving is the worst but Fresh Start really helped out and made the experience much better for us. They were on time, efficient, and delicate with our walls and flooring. They're a great moving company and I highly recommend them!

I don’t have enough good things to say about this company, they are ROCKSTARS! I called Neal at 7am on a Saturday after the company I had booked previously bailed on me at the last minute and he was on top of it right away. He was able to get us 3 movers and a truck to our place by noon that same day along with his business partner Jason. They were incredibly efficient and professional. All furniture was wrapped and padded, taped, boxed and moved very carefully. They were able to completely empty our 2nd floor, 2 BR apartment with many large items and move everything into our new 2 story apartment in 4 hours and 15min! It would’ve taken us 2 days to accomplish if we were to have done it ourselves. The truck was packed meticulously, and everything was handled with extreme care. I will 100% be using them again anytime I need to move and highly recommend them to everyone! They also have a great mission and support the community in a very real way which made us even happier that we called Fresh Start!

Neal, Fernando and the whole Fresh Start Movers Chicago team have been by far the best movers we have worked with, and we have moved many times! 5 minutes before the scheduled time, they called me and said they were ready waiting outside. They started and time flew! They had estimated 6-8 hrs move, they did everything in 4 hrs!!! Moving, de-assembling, wrapping furniture, driving and putting everything in our storage. They were very careful and professional when protecting all our belongings. We had a very large sectional that needed to be hoisted, and my husband and I still don't know how they did it, but they were able to get it out of the condo from the front door. The whole team had a great attitude, the price was super fair and we felt by far has been the easiest move. Everything run so smoothly. I moved from the northshore in early June to Morton Grove and had a fantastic experience with Fresh Start Movers. The process to book a date was simple and the owner Neal communicated with me throughout so I could be prepared for the big day. The team was in and out of my 1 bed/bath condo AND cleared out the contents of a nearby storage rental in under 3 hours. They got all my items moved into my new home in less than 2 hours. Everyone was helpful and communicative so that the experience was calm, cool, and most definitely collected despite my periodic panics (this being my first move with actual stuff). Esteban/Luis/Nando you guys are terrific. Neal is outstanding, he came to both the condo and the storage rental to confirm everything was moved out and met my satisfaction. I really appreciated him checking-in how things were going. You can tell Neal and his team want to ensure customer satisfaction and excellent service. My husband and I had a wonderful experience with Fresh Start Movers! Neal was very responsive and super helpful during the booking process and when my husband and I got COVID the night before we were scheduled to move, Neal said we could reschedule our move without a problem. I’ve used a lot of movers in the past, and this one is the best of the breed. They were punctual and very professional. The five star rating is due to going above and beyond was was expected. They moved all my storage items to the basement of my new home, but on the last box they found mouse droppings (obviously not their fault as this came from the storage place). Most movers would not have said anything, but one of the guys told me that I probably don’t want all this stuff in my basement then with my permission proceeded to spend another hour moving everything back upstairs and into my garage. Couldn’t be happier with the service! Will definitely use again.

Incredible experience with Fresh Start! I was caught in a bind after a moving company canceled on me a weekend before a Monday move. Was on the phone with Neal at Fresh Start at 6:30am and they were at my apartment by 9:30 ready to go. The team was incredibly efficient and mindful the entire day - the truck was packed in the most organized fashion I’ve experienced with movers. I’m excited to not have to move in the near future, but will 100% be using their services when moving day comes again. The impact their business is driving for the community as well makes it an easy decision when picking movers - could not recommend them more!

The best referrals are word of mouth from those whose judgement you trust. A friend had great  things to say about these guys and so I went with them and I am glad that I did!  I actually used them for several jobs in the span of a month... they were great!  On time... accommodating  of my requests for handling my stuff(my things are important!!!) That's perhaps the biggest thing -- understanding how I needed certain items handled -- and having the finesse to follow through.  It's not just about being a bunch of strong oxes and moving things... but transporting everything safely.

Fresh Start Movers moved my staging furniture out from a clients home in Lakeview, Chicago this week and I cant recommend them enough! - the management took time to explain the pricing, the materials and was in contact with me days leading up to the move and then the day of I rcvd several notifications of the timeline, as our job followed another - their pricing was competitive and the service was priceless! Fresh Start Movers were great! The movers were on time, professional, kind, and very hard workers. They moved us from a POD into a second floor walk up. The owner even came to check on our move towards the end to make sure everything was going smoothly. Neal and his team helped my partner and I moved quickly, effectively, and efficiently. His movers were so nice, friendly, and just quality movers that were respectful of our valuables. Even as they were packing our things, they checked in with us every now and then to make sure we meant to leave certain things behind (i.e chargers, mugs, plates, etc.). I would use FSM for all my moving needs from now on and trust them completely!

Neal offered amazing customer service and the guys were very careful moving the stuff out of the apartment. We thought we did a good job wrapping the furniture but they came along and reinforced every corner of every piece (awesome!) If I could give six stars I would. Called on a Saturday to have movers unload a van into my new apartment that Sunday. They got me on the schedule, no problem. The movers were friendly and professional. It was clear they were experienced, as they moved fast while also taking good care of my stuff (and the building). These guys were super professional and respectful of my stuff. They disassembled everything, organized it, then carefully wrapped all of my furniture, moved it and reassembled it. What should have been a grueling and daunting day was actually not horrible (when does anyone ever enjoy moving?) and pretty stress-free.
