I've never had such a terrible experience somewhere. I brought my engagement ring in to be repaired as it had gotten bent and the settings on the side that held in the smaller diamonds needed to be fixed. I was estimated 3-5 days for the quote and 2 weeks for the repair. I called multiple times to check in on the status as it had taken significantly longer (1 week for the quote and 4 weeks for the repair). Each time I was told it would be done soon and then eventually was told that the jewler had snapped the band while reshaping it. When I finally got it back, they offered me a discount but upon inspection, the one diamond on the side that was repaired was the wrong color (it is an ombre setting and where it should have been a grey diamond, there was a black one). I brought it back in and the owner argued with me that it was like that before despite several pictures and the certificate from the purchase that indicated grey diamonds. They eventually agreed to find a matching diamond and fix it. This was another 4 week process of which they somehow were unable to find a diamond to match the one on the other side or 2 diamonds to match each other. As my shower and wedding were coming up, they said they would set a lighter colored diamond so I could have it back for my shower and then they would call me when they found ones to match. They gave me my money back but the owner made a very inappropriate comment saying "I've taken care of 25k rings and I've put more effort into your ring than I have those ones" -it should not matter how much the ring costs, it was entrusted to you to fix it properly. Needless to say they never called to say they had matching diamonds and its now been over a month. I got married yesterday and today, noticed that the diamond they set has fallen out. Terrible craftsmanship and a terrible experience. If I could give them a 0/5 I would Edit after your comment: I have taken the ring to be looked at somewhere else as the diamond you replaced fell out in less than a month. I was told the setting was missing a claw which caused it to fall out that all of the settings on the other side are loose. Not once was I told there was an issue with the quality of gold and you were more than eager to take my ring and money when I dropped it off. Do not make excuses for your absolutely horrendous craftsmanship when you cannot even properly repair a setting

I couldn’t be happier with the service and staff at Frontenac Jewellers. I recently had work done on 2 pieces of jewellery. The first was 3 rings put into one… my moms wedding rings along with my grandmothers. They did a fantastic job, from the explanation of what could be done, providing an estimate and completing the job to exactly what I wanted. Then I had a pear diamond in a setting with a sharp point and wanted it reset. They went over my options, listened to what I had in mind then made a few suggestions. Again, an estimate was provided. In a week or so, I received an email with a mock-up picture, which I loved and gave approval to continue. I just picked it up and to say I was happy would be an understatement. I am thrilled. Fantastic service from kind, caring staff. Highly recommend this family owned business in our community.

I can’t say enough good things about Frontenac Jewellers! Natasa helped us design our engagement ring and she is amazing. We really loved working with her. We didn’t have any experience diamond shopping and so she explained everything to us and we always felt like we had someone working with us and in our corner rather than just selling us something. She was SO respectful of our budget and goals for the ring. She designed a beautiful ring for me and adjusted it to be low profile (for work) while giving great advise about it fitting with a wedding band (things I wouldn’t think of). I recently brought a very important item into Frontenac Jewellers to be sized. It had incredible sentimental value and the people there showed me great sympathy and kindness. The rings were welded together so had to come apart first, be sized down and then welded back as one. They were able to do this while preserving the inside engraving and also touched up the claws to protect the diamond. My ring looks better than ever and is safely back on my hand in half the time I expected. Amazing service - highly recommend. Thank you!

I brought in a ring that my parents had given me 45+ years ago. It needed to be sized and cleaned. The staff were very kind and took the time to explain all my options. The work was completed on time and on budget. When I went in to try it on I wasn't completely satisfied with the sizing so they volunteered to re-size the ring free of charge. I am very happy with their timely service, attention to detail and their willingness to make the customer happy. Frontenac Jewellers is the best (and their new location is beautiful).

absolutely incredible experience! just brought my bracelet in for a repair as it broke today. they took a look at it and told me they would just reconnect it and leave the missing piece off (it was so tiny it doesn't even change how tight the bracelet fits) . they did this in about 1 minute and then didn't even charge me. i would 100% recommend this place and will be going back with any larger repairs if i have them in the future!!
