Nostalgic interior and modern menu☺️☺️☺️ the sun roof and spacious interior was an instant serotonin boost! Shanghai Siew Bao (Char siew was sweet, savoury, and mildly smokey, in a buttery crusty pastry. This was our FAVORITE) Salted Egg Tart (The lotus paste and salted egg went really well together, they've mastered the sweet-savoury balance.. amazing!) Century Egg Tart (This was VERY INTERESTING. There seemed to be a ginger-y note to the century egg and lotus mix. Very unique and is a must try if you're an adventurous diner.) Swiss Roll (A buttery, fluffy, ans creamy swiss roll. The attempt on this classic item gets 100pts!) Salted Egg Red Bean (The read bean was very aromatic but I preferred the lotus laste because of the smooth buttery texture.) Kaya Kok Puff (Authentic Malaysian tea time snack, we loved the rich coconut and pandan flavours. Sooooooo yummy!) Super enjoyable and a perfect hideout from the KL heat and Chinatown crowd. Check it out!

It’s less busy on a Monday morning, it’s a good place to chill and have some freshly baked Chinese traditional pastry with Kopi. The piggy bun is my first try, the crust is buttery delicious and so does the pork filling inside, it taste yummy as they also included some meat fats inside. The aroma of the whole bun is totally amazing when you eat there freshly baked. No regret getting this still after a chicken rice meal. But regretted I did not takeaway some pastry back. Hopefully I can go back next time to eat other type, I strongly believe the others pastry should have similar high quality as per the piggy bun. Looking forward to next time. I would highly recommend you to eat there and take home some as well if you are visiting the place.

Once Upon A Time - Staycation at City Centre Part VI The tummy was filled with the awesome porridge at Hon Kee. We started to walk to burn those calories and arrived in front of Fung Wong, a legendary biscuit manufacturer in the city centre. This place was where people of the past bought Chinese traditional pastries such as lou po beng (wife biscuit), ga lui beng (when your daughter gets married), etc. As expected the whole shop was filled to the brim so we had to use our skills to secure a table. The queue was also quite long whether for dine-in or takeaway. ◾Chinese pastries - we had the char siew pastry, egg tart, kaya puff, almond biscuit.. just to name a few! ◾They do serve kopi/teh but the drinks tasted quite ordinary. It was nice to see people of all ages enjoying their food & drinks. Some of the pastries were sold out and new batches had not come out yet - a testament on their popularity.

Solid 4 price/value & 5 stars for friendly staff, taste, quality & clean beautiful space to relax and enjoy some very well created traditional Chinese baked goods. Best ever 114yo(!) traditional Chinese bakery/cookie company. Love the modern, bright & clean redesigned space (I think they renovated during COVID) def a great place to relax, chat or read a book & enjoy both savory and sweet baked goods. The bbq pork (siew bao) was flakey good, packed with mildly sweet pork, little if any fat. Wife pastry has a mild sweet melon filling. The (pink) pastry has a nice lotus paste filling (a little on the sweet side), and the egg tart is one of the best I’ve had (eggy custard, not too sweet and great flaky crust, not hard/cakey or oily like at many places). Def a must visit, pretty good value given taste/quality & awesome place to chill! 4 pastries & hot tea for about 21RM ($5 US) :)

Wonderful handmade pastries and biscuits. Still make them the traditional way. At this new location, customers get to dine in and watch the pastries making live through the window while enjoying the tea. Well air-conditioned cafe. Very clean and well spaced out with only very limited small tables. Delicious moist egg cake, and kaya roll. The Cham Coffee and normal coffee is wonderfully brewed. Strong taste and well mixed. No parking available and located at one of KL busiest street. So have to hunt for outdoor parking centres if available. The cafe building is also "sink" in with reference to the other side building along the street. So it is easily missed as they don't have high and large shop sign clearly visible. Only very familiar customers would know where to find it. eWallet payment was available. The staff and bosses were very friendly.

2/5 Pastry 4/5 Drinks 4/5 Service 5/5 Atmosphere Tried the kaya roll, wife pastry, salted egg pastry, lotus paste pastry, milo & teh. As some reviews have mentioned, the pastries were pretty dry, and overly sweet. Could not even finish the pastries due to how bad they were. Kaya roll was light and fluffy, but once again, so dry. Eating the pastries left my mouth drier than the Sahara desert, I couldn’t not order a drink. Drinks were gao and not diluted. Sleek, clean, gorgeous interior design regardless. All in all, you can drop by Fung Wong if you’re around the area and interested to try traditional pastry, but I wouldn’t recommend making a special trip down to try their pastry.

It was my first time visited to this Chinese bakery shop. Have to say I’m disappointed about the bakery. First the mini egg tart was definitely not considered a delicious egg tart. Second the cha siu pau was ordinary and cold. Have to admit the fact that many places are selling Siew Pau but much better than theirs. Third their red bean paste biscuits also taste ordinary. Lastly, the drinks no matter hot or ice coffee / Cham Peng. The tea and condensed milk portion not in well balanced. Tea was of overpowering. Personally it was overrated / too high expectations. All of the food may just look good on its presentation but the taste was not on point. I do not recommend to this Chinese bakery shop.

This is known to be an old traditional pastry store. There are a lot of selection for the pastry and it is still coming out by the time i visit. I only able to takeaway the food as it is already full house by the time i visit. I have been looking for kong shu biang in kl and finally found it in this store. But it is not as good as in my hometown. What a disappointment. But the other pastry are very good. I have never taste traditional pastry before and this is the first time. The uppermost is shao biang. Left middle is coconut tart. Right lower is the century egg, it taste like lui cha. And the other is the red bean salted egg which I like the most. I feels like eating the shanghai mooncake.

A quick afternoon tea break to try out 3 items from this traditional pastry shop. I find there are acceptable taste but not fantastic. I’ll come back to try others again. I returned for tea and some biscuits. This time I bought a full size Kaya roll to go, the lady didn’t give me the fresh bake from oven but from the fridge because it was cold when I touch the packing. She told me that it can last for 3 days in room temperature, but it grow fungus the next day morning. If not looking it carefully I would have food poisoning after consume it. Then I realized they push old stock by giving u something from fridge and it is irresponsible seller. This is wasting money as it goes to the bin.

113-year-old Chinese pastry shop has relocate from Jalan Hang Lekir to 85, Jalan Sultan which is not that far by walking distance. The pastry shop has make a big change from traditional old pastry shop to its new cafe's concept which retain the raw features of the shop and offer a more natural experience to customer by transparent the roofing to let sunlight shine trough the entire building & trees. It is worth to try their freshly made pastry with a cup hot drink if you pass by China Town. Recommended pastry: Piggy Bun, Egg Tart, Kaya Roll, Char Siew Sou, Wedding Pastry, Egg Sponge (consume when it's still hot) Recommended drinks: Kopi & Cham

Overrated but good location to rest. Pro: Bright and cooling Well hidden Fast service Con: Pastry is kinda meh... Maybe just not to my liking, just felt overrated. Possibly I have a cheaper taste bud, hence unable to enjoy it. Iced coffee is basically a little coffee with loads of ice. Coffee was good on first few sip, then left it for 5min, instantly became diluted even after stirring, quickly finished the whole cup and surprise surprise, the ice is just over 3/4 of the cup, and they're not the large cubes..... Basically filled the cup with our own plain water 3 times and we got free Iced water .

Was told that fung wong biscuit wasn't the best in town but decided to try anyway. We had the salted egg pastry, egg tart, char siew sou, and the husband pastry. For drinks, we had kopi c kosong and teh c kosong. The pastries here were decent, however, they just lacked a little bit of soul. The only thing I really enjoyed was the egg tart. The rest weren't particularly buttery or flaky. The salted egg pastry was especially dry. Husband pastry has some orange peel and give spice flavours, for those who aren't familiar. I'd recommend going to TK Bakery instead for a 5-star pastry experience.

An old biscuits shop known for their traditional wedding cookies. Freshly baked local delights. Numerous staff attending to customers. Baked piglet cookie has well marinated juicy pull non gamey pork. Jelly like egg tart with multi-crust base. Thin pastry for kaya cookie. Soft lotus paste cum century egg with egg yoke baked top. Quite thick aromatic bitter coffee despite diluted with ice cold cubes. Air cond ambience with around 10 various size traditional seats as well as 6 oldies customer worn out stainless steel tables for nature desired customers. T&G available

This is another legacy shop in petaling street that existing quite long from different generations. It is also relocate to this new place. They are famous for different varieties of chinese traditional biscuits. Must try the biscuits and not kopi. Kopi is quite common and price tag like cafe RM4.20 for your reference. It is a nice place for a break anyway. Restaurant Environment: Cafe air conditioning and quite cozy for a coffee and traditional biscuits. Food Comments. Only biscuits. Can try the siew pao, egg tart or also the lou po biscuit (wife or wedding).

  • Andew Wong

Bought quite a few things to try....i grew up eating them but the taste now is so off. The siew pau was small and dense....ie not flaky at all.... The fillings had no taste to it..... Only the kaya roll was acceptable but not fantastic. Pricing is too high for such a small piece of pastry...... Hope they buck up..... Don't destroy the 100 years history.... This is my personal view and not out to destroy the business. By all means.... Please try for yourselves... This review is for them to improve...

Ordered a lot of wedding biscuits from them. We added more orders during the collection day and thankfully they didn’t charge us extra. Packaging is very nice. However, we were not so happy with the biscuits, they were extremely sweet. Like eating sugar. The crusts was very hard. And the 喜 word also simply chop on the biscuits. Some were not clear also. It was different from the same wedding biscuits we bought and tried at the shop before we decided to place order. Really disappointing and our friends and relatives gave the same feedback too.

What started more than 100 years ago, has taken a modernization twist. Serving traditional biscuits, egg tarts, Swiss rolls, etc and local coffee and tea, this place has taken something old and giving it a modern makeover. The interior is bright and airy, making it a relaxing and refreshing visit. For me, everything is sweet. I was looking for something savory for lunch. But then again, they never advertised themselves as anything else other than a traditional biscuit shop. :) Oh, and everything is made fresh in the shop.

  • LP Pua

Jan 23. The drinks and food were above average and not much to shout about. The most shining part is it turned a traditional Chinese snacks shop into a modern western cafe concept. The shop is well designed and created a very relaxing atmosphere to drink a cup of coffee/tea. Jul 23. Visited again, and still same old good feel. Aunties serving the biscuits and collecting payment were super friendly. This time, we chose the kaya roll and Char Siew Piglet. Both were good and inexpensive. Recommended.

  • Asif Alam (asivutastic)

This place has the best damn biscuits and bake goods I know. Such an authentic feeling mom & pop bakery. I am such a big fan of the pineapple tarts from here. Not to forget rest of the stuff are also really very good. My sister tried the pineapple from here and she can’t have any other pineapple tarts from elsewhere because she’s claims this to be the best ones she ever had. For real it’s so so good and I can’t stress enough. Go get yourself some and you will be doing yourself a big favor.

This is my second visit. Good quality pastries, it's on the slightly pricier side due to the location (tourist hotspot in central Pasar Seni) which is reasonable. Siew bao was lacking a bit of salt today, it tasted much better on my first visit. Kaya puff needed the inner golden kaya to be spread evenly throughout the pastry - 1/3 of my bite was not accompanied by kaya. Teh ping was really really good, but could use a little less ice. The person who's doing drinks it doing it right.

  • Larry Chu

Century old recipe traditional biscuits? Well, I tried both the salted egg and century egg pastry. Verdict: Salted egg pastry is too dry. Overly sweet. Too crumbly and dry. I would say a total dissapointment. Century egg pastry: Sweetness level is acceptable, can be less. Seriously lack of flavour, too stingy on the century eggs. If this can be improved, then at least that's something to talk about. Otherwise, I would not recommend any intentional visit to this place.

  • WorstDad

Have not tasted FW biscuits for a while now. It was a tad disappointing that the taste is not as good as I recall before. The siew pau somehow is kindda wet while the filling is ok but not great. Recall it use to be very appetizing the char siew. It would appear that the new set up is to appeal and attract the younger crowd probably at the expense of taste quality. For the price and the taste, I would say that there are a lot of alternatives readily available.

  • I

The ambiance was pleasant and the selection of pastries was decent. We were excited to try their egg tarts but unfortunately they were sold out during our visit. The other pastries we tried were alright. The kopi and kopi o were not as thick and strong as we prefer, and also a bit pricey.

This restaurant or cafe is actually a Chinese traditional pastry which focus on moonlight cakes, egg tart, coconut tart, and egg rolls, Etc. Of southern Chinese style pastry. You can either take away or dine in with their tea where all tea beverage they offer is authentic with local Nanyang style Chinese coffee or tea such as kopi o ice (ice Americano), tea o ping (ice tea without sugar), teh ping (milk tea with sugar). So can visit when you are nearby.

New chic place in Petaling St., minimalistic interior design with good natural lights and ventilation. Massive selection of dessert, pastry and biscuits, all freshly baked. 2 of us ordered 2 different texture of Char Siu pastry, and a salted egg lotus pastry. I love both and they taste fantastic imho, my friend disagree. I ordered takeaway too, minimum 6 pieces per pack. Enjoyed this place and the pastry too!

  • Desmond Wong

Great use of space with an alfresco dining area within the shop, lots of natural light and very good air circulation. The Cham Bing (a mix of local coffee & tea served cold or hot) is awesome, try their wide variety of traditional Chinese pastries labelled as biscuits - which Is also gifted during Chinese wedding engagement. A famous pair of Lo Gung (Husband) & Lo por (Wife) biscuits is what you want to try.

  • S L Chong

We visited this traditional biscuit shop and liked the retro vibe. They have a variety of pastries on sale such as siew pau, kaya puff, Swiss roll, char siew so, pineapple tarts and more. The dine in area has a skylight which gives the place a light and airy feel. Coffee tasted pretty normal while the Swiss roll was nice and not too sweet. A nice place to have some coffee and pastries with retro vibes.

  • Ming Jiann Pang

Pastries tasted so good and local kopi is nice too. All pastries are freshly baked from oven. You may see the shop always full of crowds, do not hesitate to walk in look for a seat (if you wanted to dine in), because most of the crowds are for take away. Simple and cozy ambience, Aircond is cold enough… suitable for a afternoon tea and relax a while. Note: MUST try the 皮蛋酥(century egg cake)

  • Evelyn Lee

After I seen the "making of" all pastries and the famous Kaya Swiss roll... Loss all appetite..the Lady standing at right, use her fingers to mix the pastry ingredients then pour ingredients into tray, she used her fingers to "scrap" the remaining ingredients from the bowl into the tray and squeeze the remaining ingredients at her hand. It's very disgusting and I doubt the hygiene level...

  • Edward

All the bbq pork pastries are excellent. The century egg pastry was good, but you can get a better bite at Bunn Choon.

While the core values of Chinatown are losing and refill by those new cafe, fusion food, new hotel etc, it’s glad that to see a real local brand sustainable for 100 yrs and rebranding, but yet still keep their old good taste. The Siew Bao is my all time favourite, I rated it No 1 in KL. I like their takeaway packaging, it’s so simple, contemporary design + the old soul still alive.

  • Wieke Veronicia

A very relaxing, nice, airy, modern and stylish place to have a chit-chatting time with kith and kin. Wide wide selection of freshly baked traditional chinese pastries arranging from biscuits, egg tarts, cakes, etc and even serving a great local coffee and/or tea. Really a grreat place to grab some biscuits as souvenir back. Thumbs up for their kaya roll, teh ping, and kopi ping !

  • Su-Yi

Airy, bright and comfortable modern kopitiam in KL! The staff were super friendly, especially the lady at the cashier! :) a nice place to visit if you need to take a break in the afternoon. The bakery makes a wide array of Chinese pastries, we didn’t try their signature wedding pastries but they are known for it! The Cham drinks (coffee and tea) we had were awesome. Thank you!

  • Mun Choon Chan

The clean modern interior beckons to those weary from the hustle and bustle of city streets; step in and you are immediately transported into an oasis of calm. All that needs to be done next is order a comforting cup of tea or coffee or even "cham” (a mix of tea and coffee) or Milo — all classickopitiamdrinks — to go with any of Fung Wong’s traditional pastries.

  • Chengmei Tan

This is the new shop relocated from opposite road. Pastries, cakes & biscuits were all very authentic. The egg tart & Siew Pao comes & go SUPER FAST. Possibly because it's weekend & the area is within central tourist attractions area. If you plan to buy a lot, better pre-order. The wedding pastry is nice- not too sweet. I also enjoy the iced-coffee here

  • Kara

Love the old school vibe here. The space is very bright as they have high ceiling. Pastries wise, do come early as they tend to sell out. If you’re a coffee person, their kopi Peng is super good. Fragrant, rich and ice cold - perfect for any hot day in KL. I especially love the wife biscuit because they included orange peel in the filling too.

  • Melissa Choong

Same owners. Just that they moved to this new, modern interior and exterior shop. Biscuits are still good. Kaya puffs were RM 3.50 per piece. Most of the biscuits are priced at RM 3.50 per piece. It’s my first time here. The kaya puffs and iced coffee were good. Staffs were super friendly and helpful too to explain about their biscuits.

  • Ashleigh Ng

Simple and clean environment. Thankfully is air conditioned, best place to go to when u roamed around Sri petaling in hot weather and looking for a place to chill. The biscuits was just OK, some of the pastry was not charred enough to my liking. The char siew sou was a bit under flavour, the egg tasted better. However, drinks was good.

  • Astroboy MY

Coconut tartlets are comfort sweets from my childhood memories. This item was either not available or ready during my past several visits. So I did not hesitate to help myself to two pieces when I found them sitting in the display case this time round. The flavour was legit although they would taste better if reheated and served warm.

  • Alowe

Limited space but service for drinks were pretty fast . Bakery production couldn't meet the demand in time but at least pastries were hot when it came out. The pastries were a tad too dry for my liking. Drinks were nice and they followed the preference for sugar free drinks. Nice decor and ambiance to chill at . It was quite cooling.

Fung Wong is always our stop for 20, 30min. Very restful, staff leave us alone, buy a drink, pastry, very reasonably priced for a calming interior after very stressful Jalan Petaling. Bought their last 四大天王 (mooncake with four...FOUR yolks) for 30rm totally worth it. Masters at their craft, lovely, wonderful team of Staff too.

  • LP Tan

this cosy little shop is a hundred year history confectionary shop that moved from the heart of petaling street. you can dine in and order the various pastries and even order some drinks (coffee, teas) to enjoy your afternoon tea here. price is reasonable and you will find lots of people buying their pastry in large amount.

  • Lam Fai Wah

Old school bakery baked in modern minimalist setting. Well done - 100 year old tradition kept alive! Could improve by thinking out of the box - more and new types of pastries reflecting tastes of today's vibrant and youthful visitors whether 18 or 65. Take a grab cab ... unless you want to be hit by police summons.

  • Xan Chua

So much aesthetic for a 100year old shop like this, its like old mix new kinda vibe. Interior decor is definitely done with loads of details. The prices for the bakery are slightly higher though. Highly recommend the kaya roll, so soft and fragrant! Loads of traditional pastries and food to takeaway as well.

  • Pui Cheng Lum

The ambience and design are so modern and comfortable that it makes me wonder how well they can maintain the traditional taste in the modern settings. I was not holding my hopes high but I gotta say this shop doesn't just look pretty. The pastries were of quality.. Bestseller : Kaya swiss roll, wife biscuits

Fung Wong biscuits have been around for a century. Known for their wedding biscuits & other traditional Chinese pastries. Love this upgraded version with modern designs & open kitchen. Love the environment, lots of light, cleaner & good customer service. #support local cafes#support local talents

Authentic and traditional cafe serving traditional cakes and pastry, certainly worth a try. I like the kaya Swiss roll, and lotus pastry (嫁女饼), but doesn't means that the rest are not as good. But of course, getting thru the busy traffic and finding a parking space is always a good challenge.

  • Foodandcoffee

Stum led upon this place after a weekday lunch. Was pleasantly surprised to find out it was a traditional Chinese style bakery with a modern hipster interior and air-conditioning! Relaxing ambience and good for souvenirs as well. They sell egg rolls in boxes. Yet to try their pastries.

  • Marcus Tioh

A traditional Chinese Confectionary shop that refurbished with Minimalist and kopitiam style. Love the local Kopi and all those traditional biscuits. Very good natural lighting for photography and for chilling after a long walk at Petaling Street. Will definitely come back again.

  • KC

Delicious traditional Chinese pastry! The pastry is very fresh, during my visit some of the pastry just came fresh from the oven and it’s warm! Yum yum The tea (Teh ice) however still got room for improvement. The ambience is nice like a cafe. The shop just located next to 美珍香

  • W

Overall great traditional Chinese pastry…. The Kaya Swiss Roll is damn good.. moist sponge cake with kaya inside Good that this traditional Chinese pastry shop has evolved to adapt to changes by serving traditional Chinese pastries in a modern chic environment..

Awesome authentic local coffee and pastry place. I asked for less sweet coffee and it still taste aromatic and tasty. The pastries are light, crispy and flavourful. If i have the big capacity, i surely will try all that they have. Staffs here are friendly and helpful.

Another shop offering local style coffee/tea and Chinese style pastry/cake. I like the ambience because it's air-conditioned and with lots of natural light, not too packed (probably because I came on a weekday). However, f&b it's just alright, nothing to shout about.

The pastries were fresh and the coffee alright. But pastries are too sweet for me. I would not come back here again unfortunately. take note that the kaya rolls are not sold by the piece but the whole thing.

It brings back good memories. The piggy puff must try. Soft, moist and not overly sweet tasty pork. The egg sponge cake my childhood favorite. Mildy slaty on the outside and fluffy and not sweet sponge cake. If you like eggy taste and smell. A must have item.

  • Zo3 zo3

Very nice environment for an afternoon tea while enjoying some traditional biscuits. Overall we loved the egg tart the most! The rest was okay except the Momoso was not our favorite. Tried their Cham Ping also quite good Service also so far so good!

  • Jillianne Tan

Visited this 100+ years old pastry maker shop last week :-D Eat-in and tapao as well. The savoury are good and the sweet stuff are just nice in sweetness level (at least for me). Nice ambience for yum cha with family and friends beside Instagram too

  • Jacq K

A cafe that offers a choice of retro Chinese biscuits in a bright and airy setting. The lady at the counter was so sweet and did her job well in recommending the various offerings. Every establishment would benefit from staff such as her. She’s a keeper.

  • sze yah chng

Old traditional taste, ordered the piggy biscuit, eggs tart. Taste not as nice as last time (in my memory it taste better). However the kopi ice is surprisingly really nice. So this place is a good place for yum cha. The environment is cozy and nice

  • Elissa Yap

Transformed from old kopitiam to cafe concept is a brilliant idea! An egg tart costs Rm3 , slightly above market price. Kaya swiss roll is nice, it reserved the traditional way of baking. Staff shortage is a common problem nowadays in F&B industry.

  • Nicholas

A modern day cafe concept integrating traditional Chinese pastries and drinks. Very well-known for their ‘gai dan gou’. however the quality of other pasties are only average. Nonetheless, still enjoyed the ambience and friendly service from staff.

  • JJ

Had Piggy Bun (RM2.60) & Kaya Kok Puff (RM2.10). Filling is generous. Personally think that kaya is slightly over-sweet. Pastry skin is flaky enough. No staff at the cashier. When I check with the kitchen staff, he didn'tr really give me respond.

  • CLL

Nostalgia aside, the pastry is not as good and the kaya swiss roll is a total let down. The roll is not tight, the kaya is burnt …. I have to go over to Malaya Garden to get another loaf to make comparison of 1909 vs 2021. Malaya Garden win 1:0

  • SV Poon

Red bean paste is very good! Egg tart just standard~ the kaya egg roll is like childhood taste. Next time will come back for others. Too many choice ald~~ Cham also nice! Environment : 4/5 spacious Price : 4/5 Taste : 3.5/5 Staff : 4/5 friendly

Still about the same taste like last time. The newly renovated store certainly bring the environment and cleanliness to next level. Though, is very competitive out there, so to improve the quality become even more important going forward.

Continuously serve fresh Chinese biscuits every time I’m there. Manage to get a few items that’s just fresh from oven when I arrived this time. Taste best with an ice coffee or tea ☕️. Affordable price with friendly servers and owners.

Was attracted by its location which seems to convert from sidewalks to the next building wall, creating a small atrium seating area. With that said, food wise nothing to shout about, at least the two pastries & drink that I ordered.

Nice ambience with baking aroma from outside. Alot of variations of traditional pastries. The pastry we had was flaky and nice. However the taste n fillings for us was abit plain/little. Wife biscuit also had tangerine peel/flavour

Located just beside KK in petaling street. Was excited to try the kaya roll but it fell short taste wise. The kaya spread inside the roll was very little and you can barely taste it. The milo ping however was good, give it a try!

Ordered egg tarts, pastries & drinks for three person. Price came up to RM41. The interior is clean & new. Airy and spacious enough for a hangout session. Affordable and nice environment to hang out with your family members.

Famous for their traditional Chinese biscuits. I like the modern renovated place. I had the delicious traditional Lo Po Paeng (Wife biscuit) & coffee. Then another round with their Char Siew So. Worth taking the trip!

  • Chiewata

Over 100 years old establishment, selling Chinese pastry and local style coffee and tea, a must visit if you are in this area, definitely authentic Southern Chinese pastry which even better than you can have in China

Like what the ambiance of the shop. Cozy, just need improvement with some more staff. It seems the owner is doing everything in the counter. The biscuits and the buns are good will come back next time …

Suggest not to come here first thing in the morning. Some of the pastries are not ready until 11 am. Even hot water is not available in the early morning, so they can not offer any hot drinks. Food is OK.

Miss their siew bao. Came back again to buy the siew bao 31.1.2023 came to the new shop / cafe Better or nice environment Arrived early.. Many not out from oven yet. Take away siew bao before we left

  • Henry Christian

Relaxing and spacious cafe to chill. It offers an array of traditional pastries. We had "husband biscuit" and "siew bao". The fillings are generous, and the pastry's skin is soft and buttery.

the modernized century-old biscuit shop. missed the biscuit old taste when still at old shop compare to current. do improve the customer service. a cozy place to dine in when less crowded.

I would say this place is pretty hidden! I followed my nose and stumbled upon this place. The traditional Chinese pastries here are amazing! Drinks are good too! Definitely a must come!

Like a bakery institution. This bakery has been around in Petaling for over 100 years. Still producing some of our favorite pastries from our childhood. Now the shop is modernized.

Actually been cafe hopping & really very full already but just had to purposely stop over to buy gifts packs & takeaway my favourite Siew Bao.. by the way, the ice coffee is nice ~

Nice handmade pastry made daily. While decor is nice n spacious, drinks choice is quite limited so can only eat Tried the red bean pastry which is soft n not too sweet. Can try.

  • Foong Yee Loh

Glad to see them evolve to meet consumer needs. Old school nostalgic Pastries still good and can pair with local kopi and Teh here. Airy and spacious cafe to hang around.

Kaya roll is a must order item, tried the iced coffee as well, taste great. Pricing is more than reasonable especially at Petaling Street.(Photos taken on 18th Feb 2023)

Hardly to get traditional bakery & taste of coffee & tea. Recommended to come here for these traditional Chinese bakery , newly open with contemporary environment. …

  • tze tzeying

Went before mid autumn, they are preparing tons of moon cake. Is around 29 for most flavour. Due to that not much of choice for other traditional biscuits.

  • Alvin Dees

Favourite place to have my piggy and eggy fix while buying gifts for loved ones. Today was exceptional as I ate an egg tart fresh out of the oven .. yumyum

  • Daniel Chung

The egg tarts and kaya rolls were nice. Not overly sweet. Kaya rolls have plenty much kaya so it's really nice. However, the iced coffee was just average.

  • Valerie Leong

Nice quaint confectionery hidden behind the street. I bought a sweet bean pastry and it was good. Soft fillings and fresh. Would go back again for that.

  • Alison Goh

Personal view, nothing is right about this two pastry (except nice decor of the shop lol) but claim to have 100 years history in baking chinese pastry.

  • Jessica Chan

Nice place and environment comfortable for chit chat. Coffee is not too sweet and the biscuits so crispy and good smell. The price is too reasonable.
