SORT YOUR MENU OUT so I know how much things are before I order .I've been in twice last week , the 1st time I came in I made a big order from the menu and used the prices displayed ,however when it came to paying the bill was more expensive than advertised .so I payed whatever it was and advised whosoever was there to display the correct prices . 2 days later the same thing to a different set of staff AND AGAIN i politely asked them to put a menu on the counter with the current prices ,even if they need to amend 1 menu and stick it to the counter with the correct prices... , tonight now the 3rd time in about 10 days I go in again n see the same staff I spoke to last week.....waited ages to order while 2 people in the shop then when I did order i had over the amount the menu said again told me a different price ......this time I got annoyed .and after explaining my issue with the prices not being correctly advertised to the manager/supervisor the response I got was NOBODY ELSE HAS COMPLAINED...... If I go McDonald's they display the price and at the till thats the price I pay ....NOT GOING IN AGAIN until Its clearly displayed how much things cost......... the comments before were positive and I want to see the business do well but I also what to pay the amount advertised. if I go to buy a jacket for £100, I don't expect to pay £110 at the till I want to pay whats on the ticket . going chinese tonight instead

From a friends recommendation, ordered food from here this evening. Ordered at 10pm. Reception on the telephone was mediocre. Rushed and unwelcoming. Order arrived in 45 mins. Very close to closing times. I ordered curry goat. Rice n peas n large chips. Order arrived. Curry rice n chips mixed together as if dropped on the floor. Tasted ok. Im editing this post from 7 months ago wgen I originally reviewed. This evening i was late.in from work so ordered food to be delivered at 9.30. I thought i would give it one more go as im craving tasty jerk chicken. Having had the real thing in jamaica many many times. Luckily i was out of my bath early when the delivery guy nearly knocked my windows through at 9.10. I told him to calm down with the banging the windows and i had ordered for 9.30. Started going here when it first openned and thought the food was delicious and staff was lovely. Last few times I've been the goat was just full of bone and didnt have no kidney beans in the rice an peas also the staff have been very arrogant. Last night I thought I'd give it ago again. There was staff in the kitchen having a mothers meeting, the young mixed race girl out front kept asking them too hurry up and bring the food out as they was dossing about in the back which you could clearly hear and see., their reply was I'm still warming it up, which I dont mind it being warmed up as it was near closing time so that understandable. She then asked again the next reply was it's been done for ages come and get it. Then a white girl strolled to the shop front laughing and looked high on cannabis and sat her self on the side laughing looking all cocky with her self talking through to the girl in the kitchen. I finally got my food in the end and wasnt impressed with it. I have never seen such poor customer services. The girl upfront was appologestic and looked embarraseed by them. Shame I didnt get names. This was very umprossional and i wont be going back again. (I definitely wasnt having an arguement with my boyfriend and I defianetly wasnt swearing so you can try and justify their or your actions all you like. Place has gone down Ill!!)

The food was cold so I had to reheat it myself. The dessert had a Black hair in it so obviously I tossed that into the bin. The veg and salad was missing and when I called to ask where it was I was told they were so busy so the call never happened. So basically I paid for food I thought I was getting yet didn’t and they never even sent something else as compensation. I will never order food from this establishment ever again. I’ve ordered from them before and they gave me someone else’s order. This was their last chance and I’m done. Maybe if you buy the food from inside the shop you might have a better experience, but the whole communication is abysmal and paying for food which part of it is missing is not a good look

Worst for customer service First time at this restaurant and will never go back. Staff were unfriendly, abrupt and disrespectful. One lady even kissed her teeth when she was asked to wrap the food in cling film to stop it spilling in the car. I was told that the food was very good which is why I went, but must say the shop was unclean with broken light fittings and the food storage counter had the spillage of food that was not wiped. The server used the same utensil to share the rice as she did to serve the meat...not great if you are a vegetarian so watch out! I am yet to try the food and hope that it is good, but I will not going back anytime soon and based on the staff behavior I would not recommend this restaurant. It’s a shame because it is nice to shop local but not when the service is this bad What a shame!

Thought I'd try this place today, and won't be returning! Food was only ok. Jerk Shack in Manchester's NQ is much nicer and cost the same too. The young black girl behind the counter needs a personality transplant, I've never seen anyone look so miserable in my life. She looked like she had a gun pointing at her head just for her to work there. She short changed me and when I mentioned it to her she looked like I'd just killed her dog and slapped the money on the counter. She never said sorry for the mistake or anything. If that's how she looks at and treats the customers I don't want to return! The management need to have a chat with her about her attitude.

As a Caribbean restaurant connoisseur, I have been to many restaurants across UK wherever I go. Although a lot of things listed on their menu were unavailable, I can definitely say I had the best rice and peas + Jerk chicken of my life. This was the ultimate calibrator to all my previous meals. The price was fair, the portions were so big I could have feast myself for 2 days. Thinking of that place makes my mouth salivate. If you are going to Manchester and you are into Caribbean food, or want to try, visit them. You won't be disappointed.

Absolutely shocking service ordered my food at 6.20pm tonight after 1 hour 10 mins I rang to ask where my food was they said I should of been told there was a 1 hour 30 minute wait I explained I wasn’t informed and was told 100% my food would be here by 8pm I just rang the restraunt again at 8.15 and spoke to a lady who informed me my food was on its way nearly two hours after ordering still sat here at 8.35 with no food so rang the restraunt to cancel the order as she said ok and put the phone down on me the customer service is shocking and I would not order from here again.

Was told on the phone that they didn't think they had enough Ackee and Salfish for 1 large and 1 medium portion, so asked for 1 large ackee and salt fish and a medium steak and rice instead. Just been delivered 3 teaspoons of Ackee and salt fish in the supposed large portion and 1 tablespoon of Ackee and salt fish in the medium. Instead of you longing out 1 portion between us, I'd have preferred the correct size steak and a full portion of Ackee. Instead I'm £22 down and still hungry. Everything was cold and Mac and cheese like rubber. Thanks!

I wish they offered delivery more often because every time I try they can’t accommodate. But that’s the only downside. The food is tasty, you get really large portions and it tastes amazing. The curry goat and rice and peas is my favourite. The lamb patties taste so good and you’re always served within good time even when they are busy

The food is really nice from there, the only problem is you seem to get over charged, I ordered a large meal and one dumpling, large meal £8 and a dumpling 80p it come to £10.80. This as happened a few times now, it looks like if you don't want to get over charged you will have to point to the menu and say can I have that £8 meal ect. A couple off the women need to work on there customer service skills. This is constructive criticism, I would off easily given a 5 star rating, other than what I've just said.

My husband was keen to try this place out. The lady that served us wasnt friendly. It really isn't that hard to greet customers with a smile. Anyway we proceeded to order jerk chicken meal (large) and oxtail meal (large). We asked for rice and peas and instead was given brown plain rice instead. Ordered 1/4 jerk chicken from the menu for £3.00 but was charged extra because she said its the breast so it's extra 50p. Overall the food was ok but the service wasn't. If they could just work on their service.

Curry goat was way too hot, the Scotch Bonnet had obviously burst. Jerk chicken was so, so and the pepper beef was a black mass of chewy, overcooked steak. The service is slow. Always. There's no such thing as service with a smile in this place, staff are rude. Ive used GG's before and swore that my previous visit would be my last. This time, it will be. Try Sunrise in Salford, where the food is great and the staff don't consider it a chore to serve you.

Can’t complain it’s very lightly spiced gravy meal the steak fell apart deliciously the gravy sauce was really nice the rice was nice I tried my first dumpling this is really nice but we did order two and only one came other than that can’t complain about this and as it’s halal looking forward to trying different dishes

Popped in whilst at my sisters last night. We were originally going to the chippy next door but I'm so glad I didn't. I had pepper steak, veg and a dumpling and it was delicious. Enough gravy to cover all of the rice, the meat was cooked to perfection and the spices were really flavoursome. This place is now my new go to everytime I'm in the area. Definitely recommend.

First time we went in shop and they was very helpful and let us sample things before we bought as we are new to carribean food .We ordered over phone on Friday waited to hours for awful food .that looked nothing like what we ordered .such a shame as we really enjoyed first time .won't b ordering over phone again as wasn't advised there would be such a long wait .

I pass 3 different Caribbean gaffs on the way to GG's and they're all nice but they're no GG"s. Yea service can be a bit slow sometimes but when the jerk chicken tastes that good I dont mind waiting an extra couple of minutes and the staff are always polite and chatty. Must of got from here a good 50 times n not once had a bad meal. 10/10 for me. GG's is the one.

Food took forever to arrive after ordering from Just Eat they said the food was out for delivery when it wasn’t, we called them and they said it would be with us soon, half an hour later it arrived mostly cold, tepid and shrivelled. The food is actually quite nice but the delivery time is laughable and the staff are uninterested and rude!

I love Caribbean food and this is the only place in Manchester I have ordered from over the last few years; normally lovely food and customer service 10 out of 10; but my order got cancelled because there was no jerk chicken. It is like saying Bob Marley without a spliff.

This place has the best carrebean food in moston located on the Broadway about a quater of the way down from the moston end next to the leisure centre, the perfect place to get a meal after a gym and swim.

The staff were very friendly and easy to get on with. The food was delicious, the meat was so tender and cooked to perfection. Highly recommended and will certainly be going back again. :) thank you GG's
