I am very impressed with GIC Car Clinic as it's a fantastic Car Repair shop where the staff/owner is highly ethical, professional and have deep subject-matter expertise. I went to 7 different shops to get a quotation for my 150000 miles service of my 20 year old Toyota Sienna Van and almost everyone came out with different issues with high mark-up item listed price. 'GIC Car Clinic' and 'Akins Auto Repair' are the 2 shops which stands for 'Gold' Standard where they identified the issues correctly where the diagnostics was up to the point and replaced parts from sourcing with genuine Toyota Parts. The 'Price' is 'Very Good' where the overall price is much lower than other shops except a few parts are bit pricey and I don't blame GIC Car Clinic for that as it's directly coming from Toyota Sourcing Vendors where GIC Car Clinic don't have control. Special thanks to the 'Service Advisor' Madam Jenny who is real subject-matter expert where she listened patiently to my problems, Sorted the details by driving herself and letting know the Master Technician to do an in-depth diagnostics where they identified the problem lies with 'Electronic Computer Module' [ECM] needs to be replaced and reprogrammed and relearned. They did a new 'Tire Replacement' on the right rear side with balancing the wheels and have further suggested to do 'Suspension' work along with other miscellaneous service. Highly Professional - Friendly Staff Jenny and Owner Jared - Politeness & Respect - Competitive Price [Exception certain parts are bit pricey] - Fast Turnaround [Exception where getting parts will take time and we have to be Patient] and hope to be a long-time customer and am giving 5 Star Rating for their Integrity and Expertise they provide. Thanks. New UPDATES as of NOV 17th 2023 - Yes, GIC Car Clinic again STRIKES back positively with my feedback. They carefully reviewed my feedback and did an outstanding job of reducing the ECM component part from $1078 to $938 which is the ORIGINAL PART PRICE from Toyota Dealer with NO Markup on Parts. They have also completely eliminated the REPROGRAMMING and RELEARNING the ECM where it's not necessary in my case eliminating nearly $201 and finally SAVING me $341 of the final price including parts & labor. My VAN is in 'Very Good' condition and is driving smoothly. Special thanks to staff JENNY who patiently read my feedback, got back to me and took special care of my Van Service and I thank everyone that includes the staff and owner. Finally, JENNY also followed up with me through messages stating how is the condition of my Van and is there anything she can able to fix it. I am upfront honest with my above reviews and please try various trusted car repair shop and get quotation from GIC, AKINS, ROBBIES, TRESAMIGO, THANH's and others and hope you can make a decision that fits your style. The lesson which I personally learnt is that there are HONEST people out of Crooked people and all we need is to analyze deeply and make a decision. Hey, it's better to be honest and make less money rather than losing reputation in the long run through dishonest means where we will not sleep properly.....Thank you GIC!

I have filed a complaint with BAR against this business and after their investigation, there is now a report against them on file at Bureau of automotive repair. That is permanent and the report can now be used against them if there is a lawsuit. In short, they falsely charged me for storage fee in order to blackmail me into getting my car fixed with them. The job itself is irrelevant. It should never have been done in the first place. I told them that there was a price point where I would not get the car fixed. So they figured out a way to blackmail me. I would not have gotten it done if they did not charge me the storage fee - which, I later learned was illegal and extremely dishonest. They fixed the hybrid battery as they promised, but in the process, they broke my MFD and automatic window system. The thing is, this business is too small to honor their warranty. They simply don't have the funds like the dealers do. I should've known when they asked for a deposit for my job. So for a big job, take it to the dealer. For a routine/smaller job, there are many auto shops that can do a better job at lower cost than GIC auto. And most of them are honest. Take it to the dealer or, take it to other shops that are honest.

I had an oil change and my tires rotated. During this the mechanic Jose actually saw that my serpentine belt was cracked and wanted to let me know. The owner and woman at the front desk helped me out a lot from booking my appointment for the next day to helping look into options for payment since that was something I was dealing with at the time. The next day my serpentine belt was fixed a little under an hour. The other owner was so sweet and stapled my full receipts together for me. She even disinfected my keys and walked me to my car. This place was the best, they were all so trustworthy. ALSO have I mentioned that the woman at the front desk went over my total, told me what to expect, and no one pressured me into different products or buying things that weren’t necessary?? If I could give over 5 stars I 100% would. They also have a three year warranty on things they fix! I could literally go on and on

TERRIBLE SERVICES RUDE COMMENTS Brought my Cadillac in due to engine being seized and stalled. Was satisfied with the cost and communication from Jenny so I thought. I’ve paid now twice for the same issue. Why am I repeatedly bringing my vehicle in explaining the same problem for nothing to be done about it. Mechanic says he took the manifold off Jenny says that’s not what happened I’ve been called about three times only to have a rude phone call and her words “well we all know Cadillacs have a lot of issues” like that like that was her selling point and excuse. Hellen you didn’t fix any problem you were rude the problem from being told one thing to a different thing to a different thing after hearing from three different people three different stories is really just awful to deal with. Wish I never wasted my time or my money here.

This is the place to go for your car service. I’ve taken my cars here over the years because their customer service is great, their prices are affordable and the service is on point. I started coming here as a college student. At that time, Alan and Jose would always make sure I understood what was going on with my car and gave me maintenance tips on how to take care of it. I ended up moving out of the area, but always remembered the care they took for my vehicles. I have now returned to the area and I knew GIC would take care of any concerns I had with my car. As a woman who knows little about car, I’m glad to have a place I can trust to help me with oil changes and car maintenance.

I love using a small local business for my mechanic needs. I’ve taken my car to the dealer before and I feel they always bamboozle me and add on ridiculous fees and services I don’t truly need. The GIC Clinic team take good care of me and I trust their opinions. The husband and wife team reminds me of my parents and I feel safe knowing that they’re taking care of my car. They offer great value for their services. Each time I get an oil change they check all my other fluids and replace them for free. Went for used car inspection. It was a bit pricey but I have to say they they a thorough job. Jenny was super kind and helpful she hopped on the call several times and helped answer my questions and accommodated my special requests. I’m a picky person and I felt bad that I kept calling the shop for every little thing I had concerns about. But Jenny was kind enough to patiently address each of my concerns. The communication was super clear, and the inspection report had everything one would look for before buying a used car. It really helped my decision making so I think the money I spent here was totally worth it.

The repair experience was simply outstanding. I brought my Excursion for an engine light concern and a fuel level indicator issue. Normally, I would take this concern to a Ford dealership. But Jenny, who I've known for a little over a year, works there. She coordinated the repairs to all my concerns and delivered highly exceptional service. I’ve hardly ever give reviews because it takes up a lot of time so here I go. The receptionist, help me with making sure all my needs were met. I had issues with my battery. I had to come out of the pocket to pay because the warranty that was covered, did not want to cover the warranty. I was able to be persistent contact the dealership they contacted this mechanic shop, and between both of them made magic happen. It was only two patients and pure customer care that I was able to get what I needed done and with minimal costs. I would definitely refer them to anybody.

With my Telsa Model 3, getting into Telsa's service department can take 1-2 weeks. With GIC, the office staff and technicians are always available, friendly and highly professional. I have had them provide maintenance and tires on my 3 vehicles - '02 Toyota Sequioa, '12 Toyota Camry Hybrid and the Telsa. Each vehicle is serviced quickly and thoroughly, with great attention paid to engineering integrity. Try to avoid this place. There were friendly however, I went in to get a second quote on axel seals for my SUV. They took 2 hours to quote it and the mechanic didn’t even go outside to look at my vehicle. In addition they wanted to charge over 2 times more than other shops. Not to mention the mechanic didn’t know I was in the lobby when he was writing a quote up with his assistant. They were talking about ways to upsell me on other pointless repairs. $30 part and $1270 labor is wild.

I went there for Tire Rotation and oil change with appointment. They completed my service perfectly in very short duration. After one day of my service. they called me to check if my car is running fine. I explained them that there is some sound in my Tire, so immediately they gave appointment and on service they checked my tire immediately and gave satisfactory explanation. They did not change any $ to check. Actually sound was coming from earlier Tire repair. Good service centre.

Took our 1957 Chevy Cameo Corvette Truck in to have the AC charged. The person who answered the phone and made the appointment was happy and very professional. The mechanic who is also one of the owners did an excellent job. There were issues with the system because it was a custom install and had some electrical issues but the mechanic bypassed the problem and charged the AC anyway. My vehicle was left unused in a garage without maintenance for over 2 years during the pandemic. It needed a lot of TLC. I took it to GIC, and they performed excellent, thorough maintenance— my car drove great after that. The mechanics were up front about all maintenance recommendations and very friendly. They even threw in a few services pro-bono. Great service at very fair rates. Will definitely be using GIC for future car upkeep!

I went to GIC to get new brakes and had them check my car for other existing problems. My car is nine years old and had never been serviced other than routine oil stops at Jiffys. They found a few issues and fixed them. I found this company to be competent and reliable. They also communicate well. I will definitely use them again in the future. This place is great. I found thier oil change discount in my mail. At just around $50.00 plus they topped off any fluids and aired up my tires. You cant beat this deal anywhere especially with rising prices everywhere. They have all the new technology to work on any vehicle and have a vehicle service plan available to keep your car in tip top shape. Friendly staff, no pressure service. Why go anywhere else, Really?

My husband and I both drive down from San Francisco just to get our cars serviced at GIC. I used to get all my maintenance done at the dealership but the South Bay up-charge was 150-250% more compared to dealership service in Sacramento where I used to live- I just couldn’t justify the price point anymore and I shopped around for a mechanic until I found GIC. Awesome service and extremely reasonable price points.

GIC is run like a well oiled machine. The shop is extremely clean and professional. They fixed the transmission on my Prius. Jenny was great to work with, she spent a lot of time researching a good used replacement part and kept me updated thru the whole process. They also offered a cleaning service for my gas tank, fuel injectors etc. Jenny was very helpful when I called and had questions prior to drop off.
