Moving? Need a professional, careful crew for your precious belongings? Do NOT use this company!! They don't even deserve this single star but unfortunately zero is not an option!! I have used professional movers in the past and it was stress free! Not this time! Three men arrived, 30 minutes late. Two of the three men were very unprofessional, making snide remarks to each other about the third man on the crew.. None of my furniture was wrapped in padded blankets before being loaded in the truck ( which previous movers have done) instead they were half a** wrapped in the dirty truck. They rushed, knocked things over because they were moving to fast. When the floor protectors slipped off the carpet on my stairs, they never took the time to fix them, instead it was me running around after them. At my BRAND new house, they took a chunk out my staircase wall, ripped the fabric of one of my couches and broke a leg off my leather couch. These damages were acknowledged and well documented by the only decent guy on the crew. However, getting my claim processed was long and painful. My damages were referred to as "little" and I was made to feel as though I was inconveniencing them! They made statements like "we don't know we can get to this", "we're really busy", "it's month end". I was relentless, calling them several times a week, leaving messages and emails. It wasn't until we told them we had contacted our credit card company to stop the payment that they started to do anything! Finally, over a month later, I received a settlement cheque! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!
Hello! We scheduled a move on June 30th with GLC company. So bad service, I'm mad! First they never called me back at the few phone call I made. The day before the move, no news for my car. I called Travis Savage, in charge of my move. He was not there, he is never there! Patricia told me to call the company, Livingston, to schedule the pickup of the car. They didn't know about it at all and they were close for the weekend and couldn't take my car. I had to drop it off at the GLC building. And no one over there knew how long it will take. And, they never told me that the driver could have take my car also so I would have it already with my furniture. I have to wait until next Tuesday now! We had to take care of the parking for the truck. See for the autorisation and everything. The truck was arriving Wednesday 11th. On Monday we had to ask for the bill to have a companie check ready. My husband called GLC, he never had a call back. He called Paul, the driver who had to take care of it. After all the furniture was in the house, Paul told us that a third party should come for our big closet and the washer and dryer. We didn't know that! He called GLC for more informations and they were supposed to call me yesterday but nothing. I called this morning and, like for the car, I had to call a companie here to do the job, companie who knows nothing about it! We paid full bill and I'm still waiting for my car and for my furniture. They are doing everything except working for you. The only nice and capable worker is the young lady at the reception.
Travis Savage, GLC Relocation Co-ordinator came to our residence to provide a quote on Thursday Feb 2, 2017. I called into the office on Monday Feb 6, 2017 to confirm times as my mother was moving from my home south of Sherwood Park into assisted living in Sherwood Park. There was specific time in which the elevator would be available to us. On the day of the move, the truck was 1 hour late, after calling the office and asking what was happening, I was given one excuse after another, roads were bad, which they were not, traffic is really heavy as this time, which they should be very prepared to deal with. Once the actually arrived first question I asked the driver was how was the roads? He said good and I said traffic and he said usual. I said then why are you late and he said because they had been given the wrong directions. After the move was completed I wrote on the invoice for Travis to call me, that I disagreed with the invoice, I did however paid it because it was an office issue not the drivers. Long story short, Travis did not call, I phoned left a message which was returned by his boss, who once again had nothing but excuses. The is a lot more details to this story but final word do NOT be disappointed go elsewhere. Office staff showed no professionalism or care for customer service. Raeleen Busenius
These guys helped me move out of Edmonton back in 2016. Our overall experience was mixed. Based on my experience I would NOT recommend to use GLC Moving and here is why. My experience with the guys who came to my place to move my things and the truck driver was positive. They were real pros. Dealing with the office resulted in quite negative experience. We were billed more than we expected. Travis mislead us about "small" shipment charge when he was at our place and gave us the estimate. Also, they played this old "oh, we are sorry, but someone used the wrong tariff" trick on us to hike the final amount up a bit more . I was able to get some money back, but the total amount we paid was about $250 more than it should've been. And here is the brightest part of my personal experience dealing with their office: after all billing issues back in 2016 I have left a negative review for them here. Within hours of that I received an email from Linda. She threatened to sue me if I won't remove my negative review! I had no lawyer back in 2016 and had to remove my review. So... It is up to you whether to go with GLC Moving, but consider my personal experience described above. I hope it would help you.
My fiance and I moved city to city and used GLC Moving for the majority of our stuff. While the price was higher than we were expecting to pay, it was so worth it in the end. What we paid for was care and responsibility. Our belongings made it without damage and whole. Nothing was missing, or "misplaced", nor was anything damaged, like not even a scratch! We couldn't have asked for better service (Travis was available for any questions, no matter how silly they may have been) and the crew was the most fantastic bunch of guys. Seth, Garret and Ash are truly the dream team of moving! If I could give them 10 stars out of 5, I would! Thank you a million times over! I would like to add that the load in didn't include Seth, as he was unable to make it that day. The person they sent left a lot to be desired. Before we could say anything, the team Ash had restructured the team and put everything back on track. We were assured that the person filling in was NOT to standard. The load out included Seth and that was when we were able to see the full team in action. Client standard is high and this team reflects what every moving company should, that their standard is the same as their clients'!
We used GLC as the last leg of a removal from the UK. Every step of the way has been delayed by admin failures and incompetence, that is until it reached Edmonton. We were advised on Tuesday afternoon that the consignment was in Edmonton and we received a phone call from GLC to inform us about Border Service requirements. We attended to these and delivery was arranged for Thursday afternoon. The team that was sent were extremely diligent in the unloading, unpacking and placing of our possessions. Step forward Gary, Ben, Velma and Marilyn and take a well deserved pat on the back for a job very well done. Thank you.
Unreasonably high prices, unprofessional movers. Had to repeatedly ask them not to walk on our brand new carpets with their dirty shoes. Charged us the same $$ to pack and move us out of our old house as to move into our new house even though we asked them not to unpack or assemble anything. Damaged a bunch of our stuff. Absolutely would NOT RECCOMEND
I booked a move in with this company. A few days prior to my move, I phone them to confirm my time slot. The woman on the phone tells me they can no longer do my move because they are "swamped with government moves." Completely unprofessional to allow me to book a move date, send the guy to my house, and then just cancel on me last minute. DO NOT USE.
Ordered two mattress sets, which were sent to GLC moving for final delivery. The final delivery process took approximately 6 weeks. Enquiries about the delivery status were passed off without a return call on 4 seperate occasions, and notification was not given prior to delivery. Items did eventually arrive, undamaged.
They are the local agent for a long distance move with Atlas. The guys that came to the house were great. They carefully inventoried and wrapped and packed everything. They answered all my questions about what to expect. I will update my review if there is a problem later.
We hired GLC moving company last week and they did a terrific job. No complaints whatsoever, they took great care of our furniture and were pretty fast paced. Bryan, Faron and Tyler did a fantastic job! Keep up the good work! ;)
First time we have used movers we were really impressed with their professionalism. The price was very reasonable and the employee that showed up to move us were exceptional. Thanks for a stress free move.
Was not satisfied with the service povided. Left review describing issues occured during the move. Was threatened to be sued by GLC for the review. Removed original review, consulting my lawyer.
Horrible company. Poor customer service. Dont care about their employees. Pay is always short. Been months since I quit and still no final cheques.
Best crews I've ever witnessed. Fast, reliable, cautious and careful. I'd choose these guys every time.
Great bunch of guys
