"A decent selection of wines, a light selection of beers, and a small selection of spirits"
"Very good selection of wines in this River North bodega, and the bottles are labelled with reasonable prices"
"I have been to this store many times and all times the store clerk has been very rude to me"
"amazing customer service! I called and was able to reserve 2 bottles of wine that I had been searching for and had trouble finding elsewhere"
"They would not supply a receipt upon purchase"
A decent selection of wines, a light selection of beers, and a small selection of spirits. They have the essentials and the big names. The staff is a bit of a mixed bag. One gentleman greeted our group of 6 as we entered the small store and began being quite pushy verbally. He was impatient with our group that almost all were buying items. The cashier was polite. I left annoyed and feeling disrespected but with great wine.
Very good selection of wines in this River North bodega, and the bottles are labelled with reasonable prices. The staff is friendly enough, but they have an annoying habit of overcharging at the register. They'll complain about high Chicago taxes. None of the other places in Chicago I buy wine charge more than the already obscene 10.25% They'll tack a buck or two on to that. Good luck getting a receipt...
I have been to this store many times and all times the store clerk has been very rude to me. I used the ATM located in the store. today when I entered this store and went to the ATM this angry seller shouted to me: hey who are you? I think that he is an inadequate schizophrenic who lives in his own world. if you want to be disappointed and ruin your mood then this is the best place for it.
amazing customer service! I called and was able to reserve 2 bottles of wine that I had been searching for and had trouble finding elsewhere. Not only did they go out of their way and hold them all weekend, they also held them an extra day without question. They were so helpful and went above and beyond, few businesses care about their customers as much as galleria.
They would not supply a receipt upon purchase. They charged my card 3x of what my purchase was (a 6 pack). I was charged $40 on a $11 case of beer. When I called to sort it out no one answered. When I went into the store they said unfortunately they could not help the situation. I will not be a returning customer.
This is a neat local shop right next to the main bars of wells street. They have a great selection of wine from smaller producers. They also have a cold refrigerator for sparkling wine and some white wine. The staff is knowledgable and able to give decent recommendations.
Great little place with a phenomenal selection. The person behind the counter, made great recommendations when I was looking for something for a special occasion and didn’t want the typical big name wines. I was very happy with the wines selected and will be back.
Articulate and extremely knowledgeable staff less by Adv. Sommelier and Consultant. Mr S. Trotman. You csn ask any question and you'll be guaranteed a professional accomodating answer. No wives tales. A little over over priced but opened till late. It's worth it.
My favorite neighborhood spot for speciality wines and spirits. Old Town is my locale, but he's on Southport and opening in Logan and Noble Square. Watch out Noble Grape ;) Talk to Mike, Hud, or Ben if he's there to get the best pairs for your meal.
DO NOT GO HERE. I never write reviews on places, but I need to warn people. My friends and I stopped in there last night and were verbally attacked. The owners were screaming political slurs at us, for no apparent reason. We paid for a
A very diverse selection of smaller wine producers. A very helpful staff. The have wine tastings every Saturday until 7 pm. They deliver to local customers. I know they have been open since the early 1970s. Its a true gem to visit.
Pricey...owner should take classes in customer service/ experience! I walked out of his store after I witnessed the way he spoke to/ mistreated a vendor. His tone of voice and hostility towards the other person was uncomfortable.
Terrible customer service. Came here with my wife and they were just rude to us. We did absolutely nothing to deserve being spoken to the way we were. I will not return. I suggest you go elsewhere.
EVERYTHING IS WAY OVER PRICED, DONT BUY FROM THIS SHOP. They sold me Bacardi Rum (750ml) for $20 when it is just $12. Avoid this place. Will NEVER give my business to this shop.
Prices are higher than Binnys, but they're local and staffed by some knowledgeable folks. I also know I can pick up the latest rare beer at a supply/demand price point.
The lady in was rude af and then followed me through the whole store literally on my back. I will never shop there in life. Plus they don't sell D'usse.
Immaculate and organized shop. Nice beer selection in the heart of Old Town, Chicago- fairly priced and the staff is nice and knowledgeable.
About the rudest service and individual I’ve ever encountered at a liquor store. I’d give zero stars if I could. Avoid at all costs
Quaint store that has a larger wine selection than you would expect at reasonable prices. They also carry spirits and cold beer.
This place is a good place to go to to buy various types of wine liquor products and the customer service is great
Amazing wine selection, very helpful staff AND they allow you to shop with your dog. Great neighborhood store!
Great selection, great service, reasonably priced. Best place for libations in Oldtown/Lincoln park area
Interesting selection, but WAY over priced. Must source from resell markets and add tremendous mark up.
Fantastic selection, Knowledgeable owner. Easy location. Perfect stop before a quiet night or a party.
Cute little neighborhood shop. Good selection of wine. Friendly, knowledgeable staff.
They were so gracious and helpful with my drizly order! Awesome customer service!
Always a great selection of beers. The vendor always gives great recommendations
Best Liquor store ever! Very knowledgeable staff and great vibe! Bryan …
Awful place. So rude, I’d be happy to walk anywhere else to buy something.
Huge wine selection with a great range of prices. Staff was super nice.
This is an excellent liqueur store that is very convenient to visit.
Gorgeous store. Ask the staff for help for their recommendations.
