Located below a traffic roundabout with no surface building, designed by the indefatigable Charles Holden in the late 1930’s and finally completed after WWII in 1947. The arresting underground concourse between platforms a restrained homage to the more opulent Moscow Metro. The reflecting barrel ceiling, the symmetry, dimension and Art Deco uplighters conspire to conjure a memorable theatrical ambiance. Here streamlined functionality and the design imperative effortlessly meld. Absolutely fabulous.

One of the more accessible tube stations in the area owing to lots of access ramps from all sides of the busy roundabout. The platform gets very busy here at peak times (this is the converging point of several bus routes) so use care when navigating the platform. I find the architecture quite pleasing on the eye, a sort of small Grand Central, if you will.

Greatly peaceful and clean. Welcomes all the diverse people families and children of the world TESCO, Restaurants, Shopping , Bus Stands, etc are all at walking distance. Roads are well planned with subways with different exits in various directions- Well marked with sign boards.

I live nearby to Gants Hill station, it's small but a beautiful and peaceful place to live. Almost all necessary stuff of life is available nearby. Gants Hill underground and bus junction made this area so accessible. Highly recommended gor families and couples to live around.

This station is sooo cool!!! I went to this station once, The Arched roof, The roundals, It is just too good!! If Moscow had this station, It would make the country soo popular, That even China would go to it!

One of the rare stations where you get a place to sit on a bench when you are waiting for trains to go east. Tip: Check the map before choosing an exit. You might end up on the wrong side.

A ok place with lots of restaurants shops with a variety of cuisines, disappointed at the amount of loud motorbikes and cars, a failing on the council's part. To think we all pay tax

Mandarin at Gants Hill is a great Chinese restaurant. The staff are friendly too. Car parking space is a problem even after 7:30pm when local parking restrictions are over.

The station is bright and airy. The bad points are that l was unable to find disabled access to platform level and that there are no car parking facilities.

Came across a really rude male staff member this week! Perhaps a course in customer service should be a go to before taking on a customer facing role?

Great access to London - 10min to Stratford 20min into London. Station has plenty of seats both eastbound and westbound. Could be cleaner though

Nice station, but what is up with some of the staff yelling at you 'no photos or you'll be banned from the station'? Chill it's just a picture.

Great 20 mins access in to Central London, clean station, lots of shops outside station, great place to eat out, cool looking interiors.

The ramps are good but there's no step free access to the platforms which get very busy. The way out is a bit messy with so many exists

I really like the design of the platforms here like. Gives it an original inspired image based off the Russian metro.
