Unfortunately, Garbo's has gone downhill in the last few months... I don't know why, but it's a shame. My family and I used to go exclusively there for our haircuts (kids and parents), and before about 3 months ago we were always happy with our haircuts. However, we have recently tried to get all of our haircuts done at Garbo's, and all of our regular haircutters/stylists were no longer there. In their place were new stylists with no experience, and they royally messed up my childrens' haircuts, including mine and their mothers'. We went back for touchups a couple of days after our cuts, at no charge, but those touchups didn't improve anything. In fact, they made it worse. So we all ended up going to a very expensive salon in Westlake to correct the mistakes the stylists did at Garbo's. To the owners of Garbo A Salon, what is going on there? Why are all your experienced stylists and haircutters leaving? And why are you hiring inexperienced stylists but still charging the regular rate? I would love to return to your shop, it's very close to where we live, but we have wasted so much time (3 hair cut appointments for each of us in 2 weeks) to get a regular haircut. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has noticed the drastic decrease in service at your salon.

Garbo A is the best! I originally went to their salon up north, which is also wonderful, but now drive south to stay with Kelly, my original stylist. She is just that good. She always makes sure to do what is necessary to make my hair look amazing and still keep it feeling healthy. Not always easy with my very fine hair. Everyone in the salon is so pleasant and I look forward to each and every visit with them. On top of the great people, the salon itself has a nice atmosphere and is always clean. You will not regret a trip to this salon!

I usually never leave reviews, but I had such a great experience and think that Eli and the salon deserve some recognition. Haven't had my hair cut in about 6 years or so. Eli and the front desk receptionist were so kind and welcoming. I had reservations about cutting my hair, but that was all put to ease by Eli who is a tremendous hair stylist. He was so knowledgeable and it was easy to communicate what I wanted done. Super nice guy. I would definitely recommend getting your hair needs done here.

Eli has been helping me check off each crazy idea I’ve had on my Hair Bucket List this year. He’s so sweet, is an expert at his craft, and really wants me to love my hair. He always pushes for me to sleep on it and come back if I ever need an adjustment, and sometimes I take him up on it and he’s so nice about it! Hair is so subjective and all these guys can do is try their best to make you happy. From the owner to the hairstylists to the front desk friends, these people care about you.

Meghan was fantastic.....all business and I liked that. I am not a girly person and never really was good with a blow dryer. But this lady gave me an incredible cut and showed me which products to use and how to use them. I was dubious. But my hair stayed great for days after. So I ordered the stuff she recommended and whaaalaaa.... I just did my own hair and it looks like i just left the salon. Of course the highlights are icing on the cake. Thank you Meghan! I’ve always had the best experiences here at Garbo over the past two years! Kayla won me over after my first visit. She’s meticulous, professional and is always on her game. She really listens well and I’ve always left super happy with my hair. As far as covid protocols go I greatly appreciate their attention to detail and consistency. I felt reassured by their screening process starting when you walk in, mask mandate for everyone inside the salon and client spacing.

Garbo Salon has excellent customer service! My stylist was knowledgeable and made suggestions on how to improve the cut of my hair, without deviating from the guidelines I was comfortable with. The end result was nothing less than amazing, AND I was offered a glass of wine to enjoy while she worked her magic. Very happy with my service from Jasmine, and will be back soon!

Kayla did my hair and she is amazing!! I’ve lived in Austin for 2 years and I finally found my person. All of the staff are so friendly and collaborate with each other to make sure they are choosing the best chemicals and colors for your particular hair. I trust Kayla and all of the stylists 100%.
