The best education you can get at a Seattle high school. Great building from the early 20th century they was extensively remodeled. Great location, with bus routes coming near Garfield from across the city. Fantastic teachers, especially in the science department. The diversity of the student body forces people across the political spectrum to challenge their own views and engage in productive arguments with people who disagree with them. I have grown both as a student and as a person by going to this school.

I'm so proud of you for taking a brave stand for what you believe. Cowards never personally risk anything but talk about those who do. Significant changes don't happen peacefully because people have so much hatred & fear in their hearts. False patriotism will worship the symbols only but you want to see America (people) become who God meant for us to be. You will all become better citizens than yout critics.

Congratulations to a football team and a school that values every student and every citizen and realizes that the Bill Of Rights is what gives us our freedom. It is to be valued above a piece of cloth, even a meaningful one, and above any martial music. We are free because of our rights enshrined in the Constitution. You are as valuable in defense of those rights as the military. Go Bulldogs!

I am a 60 yr old White Vietnam Veteran that has all the advantages, I am also well traveled. I presently live in the South of America. I appreciate the young gentleman on your football team expressing the right to peaceful protest and free speech, you guys are doing it exactly the way it should be done, you are my heros! The leadership here makes me absolutely cringe. This is not about football. On a daily basis students here constantly follow the louder person and never speak up. Its a whole crowd of followers. Its all about grades, grades, grades. Its so boring. I left for another school and am happy about my decision.

Lots of peer pressure. Very divided by socio-economic status. Teachers are are very biased. Teachers only treat A students with respect. I know many students come here for the AP classes but for all its worth a supportive community is more important. Uber competitive and sickening

There's this really weird girl in Mrs. Augustus's class who asked if she was "being detained." She also constantly plays voice recordings of strange guys making racist remarks in class. As a whole, the learning environment of this school makes me feel unwelcome and unsafe.

big open gym a really great high school with great teachers and high academic so you can drive your self to the harder things and get a better place in life and sports team is a great team too.

Students have been known for harrassing other students from nova high school. Usually accompanied by slurs. Once had a garfield student go into nova uninvited and try to sell weed to me.

I really enjoyed my time at this school, I met a lot of nice people and staff as well. Very diverse school in seattle area, people respect each other alot!! Go Bulldogs

I actually go here and it’s a wonderful school. I’m happy to be apart of a positive environment that is politically involved and cares for its students.

I enjoyed MLK day. All the performers were great! The poet was amazing. The singers sang with a voice that immediately touched my heart. Kudos!
