Absolutely phenomenal service!!! After Menu log letting us down I called the shop and spoke to a wonderful young lady who was more than accommodating. They were due to close and Menu log kept delaying our order so we called in fears of it being cancelled. The young lady told us to cancel our order and she would personally deliver it as were local and not too far from the shop but unable to travel due to illness and young children. We not only received lovely food, cooked just right but they added just that bit extra. We could not be more thankful and appreciative. Thank you so much for your service! I had a piece of fish and three prawns take away. I should have looked inside the box before driving away. When I opened the box at home the contents were a disgrace. Overcooked batter that was almost charcoal, and actual flesh within was dry. The lot went into the bin. It is clear that there is no training in this place. The management should be ashamed, as it is obvious that the employees have no idea how to prepare, cook, and present sea-food. I won't be going there again, and if people ask me about the place, I will refer them to this article. Shame on you owners/management!!!!

Special of bacon and egg roll with coffee $7.90. I asked for no bacon and substitute with a slice if cheese please. Charged $8.90. It was an extra dollar for the cheese. I'm a regular customer and I know it is only a dollar but it felt like a slap in the face as I could have gotten the bacon and egg add cheese for same price and fed the dog's the bacon! I did question at the counter and understood staff could not do anything about it. The other nearby chicken and seafood shop has become more interesting now.

We bought a chicken and salad last night along with chips. Hands down this was the worst food we have ever ever bought, the chicken was so chewy it was like a piece of lether it seemed it was not cooked properly the seasoning inside the chicken was also not done it was like dough. Along with tasteless salads. We ended up feeding it to our dog's. The price is way expensive. $35 for chicken small chips and 2 small salads We won't go back to this place, especially when money is tight theses day's and you get served sh!t The good reviews must be family members !

Waited 20 min for small chips and yiros they had 5 staff on including owner cooking meals and only one person knew what they were doing holding everyone up to keep it moving the owner turned his back to it two of the girls cooking and I say girls were to busy sniping and talking rubbish about a girl in the back preparing meals rather than getting customer meals done would not recommend it to anyone slack workers

The food is quite good & fresh & reasonably priced. The service could do with some improvement when it's busy - they are a little rushed & grumpy. People understand that it's not fast food, you don't need to be so rushed & rude. The salads are quite good - watch out though as some of them are tricky like the Greek salad. I ordered one & got one olive, one bit of tomato & the rest was all lettuce. Total waste of money so some generosity where salads are concerned would be appreciated.

Not impressed one bit. The order was taken quickly but, a reasonably simple fish & chips order took around 35 minutes. The fish was so oily we complained and the one piece we checked was replaced. The replacement was marginally better. The chips were soggy and nothing to brag about. We came, we tried but not again.

We had the best customer service tonight. Uber stuffed up our delivery and took the order back to the shop. Because we are in ISO we couldn't pick it up and the Uber driver put it as delivered, so we couldn't contact him. The lady at Gawler chickens & Seafood personally got into her car drove it to our house. Now that's service!! We couldn't be more grateful The food is always good too. Always big portios, thank you, thank you

Food ordered today was totally inedible Squid rings fell apart as if they were cooked in oil that had never been changed Fish was very wet and the batter on both the fritters and fish was extremely bitter way to many bones in the butterfish, should be advised if there are bones in the fish you are serving I doubt you will ever see me again

We have been going to this chicken shop for many years now and the last 3 times have been very disappointing. Tonight after about 6months of not going there we decided too. And this has been the worst. All we ordered was hot chips and the chips are inedible. Will never go back. My kids couldn’t eat their dinner tonight and I could only salvage a couple of chips myself. Absolutely will not be going back.

Over priced, over cooked and underwhelmed. So called potato salad was clearly old dried out baked potatos with some mayonnaise on top (pictured). Schnitzel was overcooked and dry (Pictured). Pineapple fritter tasted like it was cooked in old oil. Ended up throwing out most of the meal. Only viable thing were the chips. Overall, it was just plain awful. Give it a miss and order from elsewhere.

Terrible food. I ordered a chicken hamburger and thought I might get some of that lovely looking chicken in the bay Marie. But NO, I got a reconstituted frozen patty made of something slightly resembling chicken. Hard, crusty and tasteless. Go to Red Rooster, much better quality.

Ordered through uber eats, ordered half chicken salad combo and only a drumstick showed up. Also ordered a fish pack and extra chips, so basic paid $50 for a drumstick, piece of flake and a heap of chips. When I rung the store to inform them they where very dismissive and rude, saying there's a button on uber eats. Uber eats don't pack the food

This used to be my favourite chicken shop in the town. I'm not sure if it is new owners or what, but both the quality of food and the quality of service have plummetted. I will no longer be buying from this shop

The yiros and fish and chips were that good that my mum and I ordered the other day that we’ve been craving more since! By far the best we’ve ever had! If you want a perfectly cooked melt-in-your-mouth yiros or crispy golden fish and chips come here! I know where I’m going for lunch after the lockdown is over!

Staff were grumpy and upset about what I was ordering. Had to wait 20 minutes for a grilled Barramundi. It had to be hands down the most soggy fish I’ve ever eaten in my life Chips were tasteless and the crab stick was grilled on a frying pan. Try cooking with love for once

Hard to find a chicken shop in Gawler, I suggest giving this one a miss. Chicken schnitzel was from Coles $1.20, gravy was OK. ...do not get the Parma though ugh. Herbed up passata. Service was good but the food needs a serious revamp.

Great food but on many occasions when I try to ring to pre order, i can't get through. Then when I get there and tell them, it turns out that someone hasn't hung up the phone properly. This has happened more than once.

Ordered veal hot pack, veal was tough and overcooked and doubt it was veal more like beef, chips soggy. Won't order from there again.

One of my favourite chicken shops in Adelaide! The owners are lovely, generous and friendly. The food is amazing. My fav is a battered fish pack and their Combo Yiros is a must try!

Ergh - Avoid the lasagne - I repeat, avoid the lasagna. I couldn't get it out of my mouth fast enough. But then again, I don't like eating food that's swimming in salt either.
