I followed the Gem taxi all the way up to 406 to the QEW. It was in the left passing lane, barely going the speed limit. Cars were beeping at it and flashing lights in an attempt to get it to move to the tight. When he got on the QEW he did the same thing… Impeding traffic all the way to Hamilton. I would think if you drive a taxi it would be helpful to know the rules of the road. Although he wouldn’t be the first taxi driver to act like he owns the road. LOL. When I called the office the man I spoke to was argumentative and said his driver had every right to drive wherever he wants. He then hung up. This is not the kind of company you want to support. Ignorant and rude.

I called for a taxi to Burlington GO station & was informed a taxi will come as soon as it can. I waited 20 minutes & called for an update & was told 5 to 10 minutes. I waited 15 minutes then called again to get an update & was told “oh we thought you didn’t wait it & we tried calling you back” overall a good 40 minutes of my time was wasted when I could have taken the regular transit or walked. I ended up walking anyway. Also they lied as no one attempted to call me back! HORRIBLE SERVICE! DO NOT BELIEVE WHAT THE DISPATCHER TELLS YOU!! UNPROFESSIONAL & CARELESS!

I used Gem today for the first time for a short ride to Burlington GO station and had a very positive experience all round, both with the dispatcher and the driver. I called to schedule a ride ahead of time and the driver arrived on time (was even a little early) and was very personable, helpful and friendly. A great experience all round and wouldn't hesitate to use Gem again.

Called about an hour in advance and asked for taxi to meet me at a specific time at the GO station. Got off the train. No taxi. waited a few minutes. No taxi. Phoned and confirmed? No taxi. 15 minutes later called and cancelled and found a different ride. I didn't pre-book a ride for a specific time because I could afford to stand around and wait. I needed to be somewhere.

Guelph line and prospect driver stops in the middle of an advance green. Pulls up to next light on a slow creep. I give him thumbs up to make sure he's okay cuz he's obviously a senior and obviously has trouble making out what green arrows mean. Proceeds to give me the finger. No worries over here, but you're probably safer in an uber.

I called for a taxi, the man who answered was rude and I was told it would be a 15 minuet wait, which is acceptable. I waited 30 mins before calling another cab, by the time the second taxi showed up and I had arrived at my destination, GEM taxi called stating the taxi had arrived. Would not recommend.

Horrible service on the phone and they were trying to charge me 30$ for a 9$ Uber absolutely ridiculous.Just take a Uber if your thinking about booking with this horrible company.Last time I was a dollar short on the ride and the driver full on screamed at me and told me to get out of the car

Cost me $100 for a ride from Aldershot train station to get home with no traffic. Cost me $65 with Burlington taxi to get to train station in traffic. DO Not use this company their rates are double what other taxis charge they are crooks. I could have taken an Uber for $70

They told me it would be 10-15 minutes. After 25 minutes, I phoned to ask if they we’re coming or if I needed to call another company. They told me to wait another 10 mins and if no taxi shows up to call another company. They did not show up.

I always thought GEM Taxi to be fair, courteous and reliable...until tonight. My kids, young adults were stuck at LaSalle park at 1:30 in the morning and GEM charged them $30 just to give them a boost. Unbelievable and so disappointing.

Horrible service, cab wasn't even clean. Charged me $30.32 for a ride that I took with Burlington cab for $19.32. Called owner Moe to complain told me to use Burlington taxi and hung up on me. Has if I would ever use Gem taxi again.

Out of town, called due to a train issue. The driver pressured us to stop at a bank to avoid paying by card. We declined due to the late hour of travel. Not very polite and when we paid card, said "assume no tip?". Don't recommend.

The service is good But the dispatcher is really rude , don’t answer the phone many times too but unfortunately it’s now the only taxi company I wish the dispatcher will be more kind and talk with respect

Booked an airport drop off a week in advance. They never showed up... tried calling, but no one picked up and voicemail was full. Ended up getting an Uber instead, to make my flight.

Nobody seem to work in Burlington. But this guy did and he help me from ikea to back to Hamilton. Nice guy too, very friendly people person.

Jim picked us up this morning at 4:30am and it was a nice ride to the airport. Very nice and patient man.
