I contacted Gentle Giant for an estimate to move a few pieces of furniture (2 big leather sofas, a tufted leather ottoman, recliner, mattress, boxspring and two bedroom bureaus). Patrick, the sales representative, helped me with an estimate. He was professional, responsive and very friendly. GG was not the cheapest estimate but certainly fair and close to the other companies. My Husband and I had heard GG was very reputable so we hired them. The day of the move Daniel and Simon were the two gentlemen from GG that took care of moving all of our furniture. They were terrific from start to finish!! We got a call from them telling us they were 30 minutes away. They arrived exactly at the time that we were slotted. Simon and Daniel were extremely professional, efficient and handled all of our furniture with great care!! They made the move so easy and painless for us. This was one of the best experiences with a business I've ever had - I will never use a different company. Krystal and Rachael stayed diligent and patient getting my move prepared as we worked to ensure I had a fair rate and proper COIs for both the building I was leaving as well as moving into. Communicative & Patient: Before my move we had so many small details to prep related to my building's COI needs. Rachael and Krystal always responded in less than an hour and would quickly be available for calls if needed. On moving day, my movers gave me peace of mind by sending text and gave me a call when on their way - keeping me posted about parking, updates and any expected delays. I called two other moving companies before I found Gentle Giant, ones I have seen multiple times around my area. I was able to get in touch with a person immediately, spoke to Rob and he was pleasant and very thorough with the estimate provided. I was a little hesitant about them with the higher pricing, but I was oh so glad I went with them. I read a few reviews before I made the call and they were really nice to deal with. Rachel, the coordinator was helpful and three movers that were provided were stellar. This is the first time I have used a moving company, but I couldn't have been more happy about the service. The movers were efficient, clear on what they needed from us, protected all the delicate and bigger items. They were very accommodating, it was two state move and multiple stops. It went so smooth, I was waiting for the shoe to drop, but it didn't. I would use them everytime, if I had to, and would recommend their services.

This was my second time using Gentle Giant and I would use you again in a second. The Brooklyn team led by Ezra exhibited professionalism, care, respect and were friendly and helpful. Ezra arrived on time and he and his crew worked quickly and tirelessly in-spite of the cold and elevator problems which required using the stairs part of the time. Great care was taken moving the furniture and not one item was damaged. The crew maintained COVID guidelines and that proved to be a challenge that Ezra and the team took in their stride. I’ve used Gentle Giant twice and both times I was amazed by their professionalism and thoroughness. Moving can be very stressful, particularly when you are dealing with highly meaningful and valuable items. Like many, it’s something I dread. Most recently, I had a last minute move. Highly recommend!! I have used Gentle Giant six times in the NYC area from 2010 to 2022 from easy moves to complex three part moves and packing. Gentle Giant Moving Company has top notch qualities- reasonably priced, efficient, and personable. I believe they underestimated how much furniture could fit in my garage but they did not complain and they got it done in a reasonable amount of time. I would normally not allow someone, other than myself or family, to move my antiques and fine china, but for a small fee, they wrapped everything up perfectly and it arrived at my new home without a scratch. After Gentle Giant handled a family member's out of state move and seeing their care and professional approach I booked GG to handle a recent office move. We had to move the date a couple of times but Andrew and Rachel were on point every step of the way to make sure everything was smooth on moving day. I can't stress enough how great Gentle Giant is. I just moved today into my new home, and the GG team was TERRIFIC: on time, really nice, careful and mindful of all my things. I've used GG for every move I've had since 2011, and I have never EVER been disappointed. In addition, I had to reschedule this move multiple times for a couple of reasons. The customer service team is wildly flexible and understanding. I truly don't hope I'm moving any time soon, but if I do, it's Gentle Giant all the way!

I used Gentle Giant to move a few pieces of antique furniture out of my grandmothers co-op in NYC and out to the suburbs. They were so helpful and easy to work with, from getting a quote, scheduling the move, assuring the building of COVID protocols and actually executing the move. The guys showed up on time and got everything done super quickly without damaging anything. And their overall price for this project was way cheaper than other NY movers. Absolutely will use again.

Above and beyond! GG worked with us on a long distance move and we couldn't be happier with all that they did for us. We had so many things unpacked and needing to be disassembled and they took care of all of it.
