I went to them to get a safety done told the lady that my uncle is signing the car over to me and that’s why we have to do over the safety, a Lincoln 2013 the car was well kept with no known issues. They booked me for the following week , I got in earlier than my time and was waiting, the lady came out took the keys the then took the car in after about 5 mins tops the guy called both the elder lady and the younger lady from the counter’ I watched them whisper to each other. The elder lady later headed out and about 10 mins after the younger lady called me to the counter and informed that so far the car have already failed the safety based on their findings all my injectors needed to be changed and other damages that will cost thousands of dollars to fix . So if I wanted to stop the inspection now I won’t have to pay , obviously I told them stop because that was very strange. The car remained another few mins behind where I heard ponding, eventually they bough the vehicle out gave me a paperwork saying the finding where both strut mount bearing binding , all rear control arm bushings completely cracked and separated, didn’t remove wheels or continue inspection after these findings more work could be needed in quote. I later went and get my uncle who took the car to another garage where it passed the inspection after changing only brakes pads and left side indicating light. SMH

I had some previous interactions and service rendered by the previous owner of this shop and I was very satisfied with it. I had another visit with this place to get a 4 wheel balance as the previous shop (Mr. Tires) screwed up the balance of all my wheels after mounting and balancing 1 tire (replacement tire). After installing 1 tire (presumably balanced) the car starts to vibrate at 80 kph. I brought back my car the next day to Mr. Tire to complain about this and was suggested to balance all 4 tires. After that, the car starts to vibrate at 60 kph. and it was worse. The next day, I decided not to bring my car to Mr. Tires anymore, I'll charge a $60.00++ to my experience. I brought my car to Tire Bay and was immediately accommodated by the new owners. My concern was completely addressed and I was extremely satisfied with their technicians skills. There was no vibrations at all, except vibrations attributed by the road surface condition. After a few days, I came back to the same shop to have my new winter tires mounted and balanced, just to be ready for the winter change over. I highly recommend this shop for most underchassis works. The new owners are professional in their dealings and the price for such services is comparable against other garages and tire/wheel services.

I've been coming to Genuine Auto for the last year; originally because of how close it is to work, its been convenient in the past just to do repairs on what I couldn't do myself at work. I'm currently learning to become a licensed tech for a competitor in the area but haven't yet had any schooling to do anything to in-depth without help. However in the past year my workplace has really proven then I'm the last concern and never a priority, so I plan to spend much more money here at Genuine Auto in the future. They've really set a standard thats not hard to meet but nobody else seems to. They have amazing customer service, the inspection process is incredibly thorough; even sending you reports while its being worked on. The quality of work is top notch, pricing fair and they are efficient to completion. I've never had to return for an issue from repair and they follow up to see how your doing. I really have no complaints about this place; stop wasting your time and money and just come here to solve your issues. You won't regret it. Ive had too many cars to count and been to too many shady shops in the past that I had gave me a view towards mechanics that Genuine has completely changed. 10/10

I bought my car into Genuine for a wheel alignment. I was told they could not do an alignment on my vehicle based on the fact that I needed new ball joints and four new tires. The tires I knew about, the ball joints, I did not. Interestingly enough no mention of which ball joints was specified on the work order (red flag 1) and the offer to do the repair and deduct the cost of the inspection from the overall cost was red flag 2. After paying $67 and change, I left and drove directly to my mechanic, who proceeded along with two other mechanics and myself to put the car up on a lift, get underneath and test all the ball joints on the front part of the suspension. The verdict, ball joints are fine, need new tires. Draw your own conclusions from this experience but from my perspective it wasn't as 'transparent' as it could/should have been.

A few years ago, while shopping at Costco I found myself with a flat tire. Seeked help from Genuine Auto since they were right there and an older guy took care of my tire and got me back on the road and refused to let me pay for it. This year, I found myself needing a new set of tires and I remembered this place right away, called them up and they hooked me up with a nice set the following morning. Their tire prices were very comparable to Costco (even when on sale) and they were very professional and nice. They even followed up with a text message a few days after checking up on new tires to make sure I had no issues.

I had the most amazing experience! We were stranded with a flat tire!! Three hours later we were back on the road( we don't live in Ottawa). Turns out it was this huge Rock in my tire(I have 18 inch tires) my spare tire was seized to the back of my Jeep! And not the right size! omgosh!!! Tire could not be repaired therefore I had to buy a new tire, it was suggested by two tires so that they are the same, and the good tire that was on the Jeep be kept and used as a spare!!!!( Same size tires) I want to thank everyone who helped us that day 2 damsels in distress!! WOW - all I have to say! Loud crunching noises began a month after brakes were serviced at dealership. Genuine Auto Service was able to get me in the next morning and not only inspected everything, but followed up promptly with a quote, and had everything fixed that afternoon. The owners/mechanics were so kind, provided exemplary service and even followed up to make sure things were ok with the car. Excellent spot, the owners are just down to earth people that want to help a customer regardless if they can charge for it or not. Had a leaky Tire, they checked it, realized that there was no nails in it, so they put some air in it and asked me to come back if it leaks again, they didn't charge me! So when it leaked again, turned out to be an improper seal around the rims: I went back to them so I can give them my money to fix it instead of going somewhere else. Will come back again. Appreciate the honesty and good earned dollar value guys!

I was very impressed with the service @ Genuine auto. You can tell they really are genuine and care about your vehicle. The pictures and videos accompanied by their write ups on the issues for my vehicle made me feel comfortable and allowed me to give them my full trust. When I got my vehicle back they added a complimentary engine shampoo and even a little tire dressing. I’ve recommended them to family and friends and will continue to do some with great confidence. Dealt with them for a years now and they always go above and beyond. I would recommend them to friends and family. They are nice people who are trustworthy. Hard to find in that industry. For example, Dealer told me I needed new brakes all around for some noise I had. Genuine looked at the vehicle and said the front brakes are fine and only the back brakes need to be replaced. They fixed the back brakes (below the dealer pricing of course) and the noise was gone. I almost changed them all for no reason.

This was the best company to deal business with in terms of customer service in auto service. I was hunting for new winter tyres for my BMW and everywhere quoted prices higher than I was expecting. A friend recommended this place, and the owner was able to advise on the right size tyres at prices half the quote of my dealer! Tyres were switched and installed in less than half an hour. Had my vehicle safety inspected at this shop on the first of December. They checked over the car and I failed as my left headlight was out. came back the morning of the next day and they had the paperwork done for me in under ten minutes after seeing the bulb replaced. they got me in the fastest, got the inspection done and were wonderful to deal with. Best service I have had at an autoshop in a long time! Also, they have a fully functional messaging diagnostic system which displays the quote breakdown and provides all needed information through a simple text message with link to page. Working out of town always comes with its ups and downs. 6.5 hours from home and the Towable unit runs over debrie in the field snapping a transmission line. Called around and Genuine Auro Servise was able to fit me in. I was able to get a rental car for a couple days to get me by. Have used this shop for about a year now. Took my car to the dealership and they told me I needed a new flex pipe. I did not and the honesty of this shop is amazing. Great place! Got towed by a driver here because my antitheft in my car disabled it, took them 2 hours to rip out the awful system! NO MORE PROBLEMS from that anyway. I also asked about a quote on replacing a broken radiator fan and I was quoted about $350, where as another place I got a quote from was saying almost $600. I will definitely be returning to these guys.

I’ve never experienced this quality of service at a mechanic shop. None of the questionable upsells or confusing shop-speak: they explain the problem in simple terms, show ypu pictures and/or video of the problematic parts and give very reasonable prices. Very good service! I dropped my car off in the early morning before they opened and loved the fact they have a locked mailbox with an envelope you can leave your keys in!
