I was a regular customer for three years and recently decided not to visit Gaint Tiger due to a terrible staff attitude. I was purchasing some suitable clothes for my kids, and I didn't realise that my child Will dropped a cloth on the floor. I was carrying a trolley of three barrels of water, and my Small child was also sitting on the trolley. My second child dropped a cloth on the floor. At that time, a lady's staff member approached me and told me, "This is not Walmart to put clothes on the floor". I felt like she was kind of racist because she followed me many times. My kids were asking me why that lady was angry with you, Papa, and why she followed us. I got embarrassed in front of my kids, and I told my kids that we are in front of her; that's why you think she is following us. Then my kids asked why she was angry with you. I told her that you had thrown her shopcloth on the floor, which is why she was angry. Then my child replayed to me, This is a small thing, pappa; if she told me, then I will keep that. Why does she need to show you her angry face? Are you purchasing for free from here? I don't have anything to replay. I informed the manager of the situation, and she stated that the staff had told her in a similar manner. The manager didn't show any patience to call the particular staff and ask what happened. Anyhow, I was not taking anything Free from them. I spend my money. So I have every right to purchase according to my wishes. If I could know, the clothes would fall down. I will definitely pick it up. Even if we made a mistake, the staff can tell me in a variety of ways. When I told this incident to the cashier boy, he even apologised to me, which should not have been done by the particular staff or the manager.

The individuals at this store are not normal people!… Normal people don’t judge others or make others feel indifferent and uncomfortable. Today I was busy using the self check out and minding my business. A gentle men that was waiting in line noticed I was being targeted by the employees and stood up for me. Basically they kept looking at me in a very disturbing way as though I was trying to steal something which made the gentle men very uncomfortable and choose to do the right thing and face the devils.. The manager was called and he himself couldn’t handle the truth and choose to make excuse for his employees just like they always do, always covering up for their ignorance.. Every time I go to the store I feel uncomfortable by the starring and ignorant comments such as them saying the word different out of no where basically referring to someone different that doesn’t look like them.. They’re sick individuals that needs JESUS so they can be saved from their ignorance and devilish ways..I’ll go to another location and stay away from these sad excuse of humans..

Does anyone know if there's an actual "sign" on their doors, saying no food or drinks?? I had my 'kids' with me at this location a week or so ago. Near the end of our time in there, the..older..female confronted us,or my oldest,about his energy drink. She informed us that they don't allow food or drinks in their store. Then,she questioned if he bought the drink there..if they walked over and saw that they only had certain flavors in the store they can't question people about the same thing they happen to have just because it's the same brand!! She then points out that it isn't stupid to ask,which is what I thought and said to her. I don't know if they were really doing their jobs or watching us before we were bothered by her. Another employee was looking at my youngest son as if he was guilty of something like wth. They lost a sale that day. Should've talked to the manager!!!! Most likely not stepping into that store ever again.

Shop here quite often. Prices are very competitive. Love the selection of plus size for mom. Store is always clean. Would like to acknowledge the customer service of Aneishah. Having issues with the app when I was using the self serve terminal. She came to the rescue and also told me who to contact to have it fixed. Giant tiger actually got ahold of me via email and fixed the issue on the app. I was impressed. Unfortunately I had to deal with another customer service rep at the checkout a few days later as I paid for an item that had to be price checked and then was not returned to my basket. Made me feel like I was a criminal trying to scam them. Too bad. There is a way to deal with issues like this without an almost public humiliation at the front counter. Otherwise a “5”

Whoever was minding the fitting rooms July 25, 2023 at about 14:30 was an absolute disgrace (older angry gal with glasses.) If she hates her job so much she needs to seek employment elsewhere. She made it very clear that I was inconveniencing her just by asking her to do her job. I was there to buy clothes for upcoming job interviews and I have enough stress in my life as it is. Without even saying a word to her she was rude to me; all I did was ring the bell to have access to a fitting room which triggered her poor attitude. I was discouraged and left without trying on half the clothes I had picked. I gave two stars because a one-star rating seems wrong as normally service is okay and I like it there. I just don't like some of their staff choices.

Was in the store and my granddaughter and grandson had to use the washroom. Went to the front til and the lady kindly paged for someone to come let us in. Stood there and stood there and nobody came even though there was a lady 2 isles fromus who works there. We want over and kindly asked her to open the washroom for us and she rolled her eyes and threw her head and I said someone was paged and zhd got all mad and said do you know how many times this washroomhax been opened today? I said that is not very nice customer service and told her not to worry about it. Like really your having a fit because a 4 and 2 year old need to use it. WOW

I was publicly humiliated by a cashier when all I wanted to do was return an item. I was told to go to Customer Service, which I did, but then the cashier told me to go to another cash, because she does not do returns. I let he know I was told to go to her cash for the return. Her reply "First of all, I do not do returns. Second of all, please go line up somewhere else". I am glad I was doing a return and this store will never see another dollar from me. If you like POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, this is the store for you. I would give 0 stars if I could.

Wasn't happy with the staff getting close to me when we r supposed to be social distancing. And it wouldn't have been a problem if it only happened once or twice but this one staff member got right in my personal bubble about 6 times the same girl . Just doing random things that didnt exactly need done at that exact moment. Just because they have a face shield on doesnt mean that its okay for them to stand beside us . I think they should practice social distancing a little better .

I was there this morning may15/21 sat the clerk that greeted me was very nice I think her name was Leona.but the manger (female) dark short hair said something rude that the clerk shouldn't be talking to customers .well listen if you have a had a bad morning and you don't think your staff should be talking to customers I think u have a problem and I don't think u should be in customer service let alone be in management.i was very appalled with your management skills.

Store is great, not staff. I was there nov 6th 2020 and watched an employee named oluf have a complete melt down. He was cursing and swearing in the back room over his break. Then he came out and continued on the floor. I said something to the female employee, but she said nothing. I know it was over his break because I overheard him talking to the female employee before his melt down. Very scary to have an employee react like that over a break. I will notbe back.

The staff at this location is super friendly. The staff also doesn’t follow people around or watch them constantly like other bigger well known chains, they give you a lot of space to shop but are helpful if you need. The only thing is there is an unpleasant smell near the grocery section near the coolers/freezers. Sometimes it is hard to find an items price or the marked down price isn’t added so a price checker machine would be awesome.

I'm extremely impressed with this store as they have a person at the entrance making sure ppl are wearing masks before entering. Plus all carts are sanitized. I noticed this evening a lady was entering the store & the young man an employee informed her nicely she needed a mask before coming into the store. She returned to her car & put her mask on. I wish all other stores would do the same. Thank GT for enforcing the policy.

I shop here regularly. Great prices, selection is good. I have always found the staff pleasant and helpful. As for a sign stating "no food or drinks in store", I don't know, I've never had call to look for one. My granddaughter (13) often shops with me, I never allow her to take food or drinks into ANY store! To me it's common logic and courtesy to leave the drink in the vehicle or finish it before you enter the store.

Staff are a joke, they don't know where anything is, or if they have it in and good luck getting into a fitting room. Check you clothes for mismatched sizes and imperfections, try them on b/c they fit offset. The clothes also shrink so go up a size then wash and dry. Most of the advertisments in the flyer are not in stock. And the prices are actually a bit higher then your average department stores such as Walmart

I had a good shopping experience. I Was shopping for my granddaughters and I found everything I needed.There is such a great selection of clothing. I did notice with Covid-19 that there are customers not wearing masks in your store.This made it an uncomfortable shopping experience. As It is mandatory to wear masks in public places .Other than the masks not worn I did enjoy shopping at Giant Tiger.

Great prices for clothing and food. Sort of a small Walmart but Canadian owned. I live close by so shop here often. They have a little bit of everything. The store is well lit and clean. Not a lot of staff to help out but that’s understandable since it is a smaller store than Walmart. I will continue to shop here as it is convenient and as mentioned for what they have the prices are good.

Water machine is very dirty and unmaintained, covid-19? How about every other virus in the book too. I went to the clareview location and the water machine was out of order due to clogging and found the same fate at the londonderry location as well, the machine was dirty and unmaintained as well as clogging but NOT out of order yet. Lol, seriously reconsider were you fill your blue juggs.

This store is well located with free parking space. They have taken necessary measures with regard to the pandemic. The store is clean . The staff were helpful and friendly. The products are varying from cloths for all, accessories, shoes, household items, toys,grocery, frozen food and meat etc. The price is very reasonable when compared to other stores.

The cashier at Giant Tiger did not give me all the groceries I bought. Make sure you check carefully before you leave the cashier to make sure you have all your groceries. I returned to the store as soon as I noticed the missing items but the cashier was gone. I will never trust a cashier now. Keep your eyes sharp if you shop at this store.

Idk lol So returned a phone I found on a shelf to a staff member and she gave the phone to a completely different couple who didn't even know the phone. They stole the phone lol 99% they got a phone call asking if they found a phone. But security cameras can find out the truth but the staff member gave a phone to a couple who stole it lol

Giant Tiger in Clareview is my favorite place to shop.The staff is always amazing .They treat you like family. Lorraine and the GT team go above and beyond to help you and make you smile! I've been visiting this Giant Tiger since I moved into the area about 7 years ago. The staff are amazing and friendly and helpful whenever I have a question. They don't always have everything in stock but they always have new stuff to look through. The prices can be a bit expensive but they can have amazing sale prices!

Giant Tiger is my best kept secret! I love this store! It has a little bit of everything, so it's my go-to when I need to grab a few groceries or other items. I always walk through just about every aisle and I love the women's plus size clothing and home décor. Staff are great and it's Canadian. How can you go wrong?

The young cashier on Friday December 3rd at approx. 3:30pm named Janice with colourful hair was amazing! She was so so friendly and made my experience so much better. Engages in conversation and takes her job seriously. A wonderful addition to the team ! 5 stars Janice and keep up the amazing work !

Good deals on food when it goes on sale. Cashiers are friendly. Sadly if an item is damaged as does not have packaging, they will not discount the product. Store selling opened or damaged product for new price. One of the supervisors or managers (not sure) is very sour to customers.

Giant Tiger is great for pricing as well as variety. You can get clothes for the whole family, groceries, household items as well as products like dish soap, laundry detergent and many other things. Kind of a one stop shop and their smokes are cheaper than most places out there.

PRO: They have a huge selection to choose from, especially in the ladies clothing department. CON: Just wish the tills were set up differently for returns and buying lotto/cigarettes. You end up in a line up so long because everyone needs something from those 2 tills.

This is the most gheto understalked , pooorly managed GT store in Alberta. They never are stalked and always looks disgusting. I wish the managers cared because its my closest location. Do yourself a favor go to Londonderry location. Plus side the staff is great.

Decent place. Watch for expiry dates on bread and milk. Meat looked grey. A little bit of everything. 2 stars for every time I go in there one cashier has such a bad attitude. She never bags anything. Just stares at you until you do it. Seems angry all the time.

I used to like shopping here until the tall bald white guy started following me and looking into my bags as I leave. He even stands at the door to make sure I pay for my stuff. And yes I am brown, so I feel this is racial profiling! Terrible place to shop.

Walked while pushing a stroller there in the windy snow for flour and they had none, had to settle with damn bisquick, went to the lobby after I paid and there was a Pepsi machine at 75 cents each can. so that's why I gave this place 3 stars instead of 2

Location wise this place is stellar. Staff are friendly, lots of varied products for whatever you need. Reasonably priced. Self checkouts make it incredibly efficient and convenient. Always go there when I'm too lazy to drive out. Highly recommended.

Good frozen food section, and sometimes good vegetable and fruit deals, especially as H&W Produce shares the same parking lot. Clothing and household goods are not great quality, but are inexpensive for items you don't plan to keep long.

I dont know what to think of this place. The selections of items is quite poor. I just grab a few things here and there because its convenient and smokes are cheaper here then the Mac's. But really I'd go to walmart if they sold smokes

I haven't been to this location in a long while, but was finally in the neighborhood. The layout is great and found myself down every isle because there is just so much to shop from. The ladies in the women's department are fabulous!!

I love shopping here! Staff are always friendly and go above and beyond to help, I really appreciated the Christmas gift thank you so much. There isnt always a huge selection of things but the price and quality of the items are decent

Proudly Canadian store as they claim.... This store is famous for plus size clothings. The staffs were pleasant, helpful and quite friendly. They have cheap shirts for men although not much variety. All the same a nice place to shop.

Dont come here often. Always surprised the pricing is very good. Had Red Onions which surprised me as there was none in Canadian Superstore lol. Also purchased a wireless/solar/ security light I had seen advertised on TV for $24.00.

Nice clean store shopping carts sterilized proper and not so much crowding of people aisle clean kinda narrow around the area where the curtains are just a little slow at the check out besides that its a good store at this location

good little store, i have learned to phone ahead to see if a product in there flyer is actually available at this store. so many times i go in for one thing and its either on the truck or coming next week after the sale.

Nothing about this store impressed me. There was no rhyme nor reason to b found in the 'stocking' of the shelves, an 'staff' made it quite clear U were 'bothering' them just by being there. Won't try to shop there again.

Giant Tiger is such a good store for seasonal items. You can also get everyday value priced staples like eggs, dairy and cleaning products, and they're name brand. I also like to get there socks, only $10 for 20 pairs!

Staff was friendly and helpful. The store was clean. Some of the shelves were empty of stock, needs improvement. Overall, I would give this store a passing grade of 90%. I would definitely recommend it to everyone.

This giant Tiger specifically is great. Very nice staff. Wonderful staff. I hope they're being payed well. Corporations have a habit of not paying they're employees well unfortunately. But yea anyways great place

Leona in Fashion is one of the best employees I’ve dealt with. She’s dedicated, hardworking and professional. She is part of the reason I continue to return to the Giant Tiger location on Victoria Trail.

This store has improved so much over the last 10 or so years I've been coming here. Always seem to spend at least 50 dollars a trip. Staff are very helpful. Just wish there was more gluten free products

Canadian-owned department store with incredibly friendly and caring staff with decent pricing and selection. The self-checkout system definitely assists with those customers who have time pressures.

As always, friendly staff. This location appears well stocked and it is kept clean. Carts are sanitized and there is hand sanitizer available for the customers to use upon entering the store.

Really impressed with all the covid precautions in place, hand sanitizer and masks at the door if you need. I'd also like to compliment the new store layout! Keep up the great work guys.

One of the larger stores. Large women's clothing section. Several aisles of groceries. Very clean and displays are well maintained. Staff is generally courteous. Plenty of parking.

Great deals from a Canadian store brand. As many are doing now, is a 5¢ charge on bags. Oddly the only cashier's open was the Customer Service area which carries tobacco products.

Place is messy, disorganized, and dirty. It looks more like a dusty convenience store. Prices are not competitive either, lots of items you can find cheaper at other stores.

Can't bother to sell larger bags of sugar. Only sell small 5 pound bags of sugar which is basically useless. Oh and it's more expensive than usual.

Organized line up to pay. Clients without mask can go shopping without problem. It happened on December 31, 2020. Personally, I did not feel safe.
