I retained the services of Gibson & Associates as a first time buyer. Celine Clarkin & Sarah Davis were fantastic throughout the process. They were responsive, super informative & went above and beyond to make sure the process went a smooth and quickly as possible. From sale agreed to close it was a little over 11 weeks, which is amazing especially during Covid times. I was a little nervous at the thought of doing this all online but it was very smooth (thanks to Celine & Sarah's hard work) and I would highly recommend Gibson & Associates. Great Aspects - quick & accurate quote from Kellie who also called & went through the steps beforehand which was very helpful (this is optional but no other solicitors offered this so really stood out) - When you first meet your solicitor they talk you through the next steps & answer any questions but also give you a letter which outlines what you can expect. Whenever i had a question I found the answer was usually there or Sarah was super quick at answering. - Celine was an absolute delight she made me feel so at ease. I felt very safe in her hands as she was so diligent, clear and just all round lovely :) She made a daunting process much less scary. - Online & through post - I was worried it would be a really cumbersome process with covid restrictions but I only had to go to the post office once. We went through the contracts & signing on video call. Where I needed to sign on the contracts were clearly laid out - they made it fool proof. - Sarah was fantastic at keeping it all moving, following up with all parties & making sure we got over the line with the bank. She was a pleasure to deal with. I can't thank Celine & Sarah enough - they made it feel like a team effort but they really did all the heavy lifting.

Anyone who asks this company for help with a legal matter are leading their lives into total destruction. After my family were dragged all the way to the supreme courts and lost everything we worked for as well as 11 years of our lives. We had to hire another solicitor to find out what went wrong. We were horrified to find out that this company lost our right to have our home repaired because they took us to the high court looking for 30k for themselves for writing a handful of letters. They told us it was because the insurance company reneged on the repairs. All We wanted was our home repaired and evidence of that is in the photos. The reason they dragged our family all the way to the supreme courts was in order to get a case against them statute barred. That worked and it's called fraudulent concealment. This company has threatened me with legal action for making a complaint about them to the law society. Avoid this company unless you want your lives destroyed. TLDR: Avoid them. I worked with them (pre-pandemic) in a perfectly standard house purchase, yet the process just dragged on and on without any apparent reason. Both the previous owner and I have supplied all necessary documents, which they sat on for months, promising updates all the time that just didn't come. I always had to reach out to them to kickstart things again, and 90% of the time the appointed solicitor and/or her assistant were on "meetings", "trainings" and such, which was clearly not true. I spoke with my actual solicitor a grand total of 1 times in the process than totalled around 4 months. Their communication overall was horrible and mostly nonexistent, I wasn't ever clear on the status of things, roadblocks, the timeline, subsequent steps, or anything else really. When I pointed these out, I only ever got the vaguest apologies and promises that they'll finally get things going. Meanwhile I was in continuous contact with the owner, who, along with their solicitor, confirmed that they've done everything on their end, and kept pressuring me to sort things out with Gibson. As a paying customer I shouldn't ever be in such a position. It caused me undue stress, and since I was renting while waiting for the process to finalize and to move into the house, a very real monetary damage as well. I've passed these details to the estate agent's company so they can advise clients against going with Gibson, and I'll let all my friends know about them too.

Visited the website of Gibson and Associates which states: “ When you make contact with our team, you’ll hear back from us within three hours or less.” I sent an email at 9am, hadn’t heard back after 12pm so I called. Was immediately placed on hold for almost four minutes. Once the call was dealt with, I explained that I had emailed earlier and was to understand given the information on the website that I would have received a response within three hours. I was told “I’ve never heard of that”, to use the web form instead and that a reply takes 24 hours. I informed the woman on the phone that that’s not what it states on the website. Was put back on hold. She came back and said “what I’m looking at here is it says we TYPICALLY get back to you within three hours but usually takes more”. I reasserted that no, it does not say that on the website and confirmed exactly what the site says and where that information was located. I then said this was already a bad experience and would be seeking help from another firm and was hung up on mid way through my sentence. Disgracefully unprofessional conduct. Happy to give my business to another firm based on this experience of making a simple inquiry.

I recently purchased a house and used Gibson & Associates for the conveyancing services. When choosing I knew that I wanted a reputable and reliable firm to handle this for me and was not disappointed. Both Emma and Christel were absolutely faultless in their duty of care, professionalism and understanding. As this is my first time purchasing property I was quite nervous and had very little knowledge of the process. I found out very fast that I did not have to worry at all. From the start and right until the end all matters and issues were explained fully to me in a language I could understand. Shortly after going sale agreed I found out that there was a boundary issue with the house, this caused a massive amount of panic and uncertainty but Emma and Christel sorted it out so fast and effectively. Everything was arranged and sorted by them and then double checked to make sure there were no errors so I do not have to worry about anything in the future. Well, I didn't have the best experience with this law firm as the information provided to me was not quite correct. I had missed the date for a 1G renewal and was basically told by them that I either have to apply for extension or just leave the country and apply from outside, whereas my company lawyers suggested, I should apply for the renewal as I am entitled to 24 months and have only used 12 months of my 1G here (I made this very clear to the lawyer I was speaking to here). Furthermore, I was told that I won't get an OREG number unless my application is "approved" whereas the truth is you get your OREG number as soon as you apply, so clearly there is someone who is ill informed here. As of today, I have successfully renewed my 1G and the Dept. of Naturalization did confirm what my company lawyers had stated. I basically just paid this firm €295 to scare the living hell out of me. The only reason I am not leaving 1 star is because they did understand how urgent this was for me and gave moved my appointment to a closer date that suggested earlier, this of course is more to do with the customer service and not the issue itself.

A few months ago, I was on youtube and came across a video from Gibson and Associates Solicitors stating that 4th generation Irish were eligible for dual citizenship. Needless to say, I contacted them immediately (had given up on the idea of dual citizenship decades ago when I was told only 3rd generation were eligible). The great-granddaughter of Irish immigrants to the USA, it has always been my dream to have dual citizenship. My fiance and I hired Gibson and associates for immigration consulting. While I understand that no solicitor can guarantee results, Gibson did not appear to even try. Over 60 percent of our scheduled meetings were cancelled day of, emails were not responded to, promised follow-up was not delivered, and we were continually passed from person to person. Often the person we finally got to show up to a meeting had little knowledge of our situation and promised to pass us on to a different, "expert" colleague, who would then cancel a meeting and pass us on to someone else. Do not waste your time or money with this unprofessional firm. The months we spent chasing Gibson could have been spent with a legitimate firm interested in doing the work they were hired to do.

I was looking for a solicitor to handle a property purchase case and stumbled upon Gibson & Associates while searching for a more known one on the internet. Kellie McLaughlin (no relation) and her assistant Jade Mulhern were Wonderful in expediting my elderly father's Irish citizenship application (his grandparents were from Ireland). I hired this firm for conveyancing services for my apartment. The sales rep told me before hiring them that they would give weekly updates and deal with the purchase in a timely manner, however I was left constantly chasing them. They made numerous mistakes/oversights which ended up delaying the process months. They constantly blamed the seller but when I reached out to the seller directly they responded immediately and it was possible to resolve issues quickly. They're very quick to bill extra but do not have any sense of customer service. I would recommend anyone to avoid this firm.

We had a positive experience with them and Gibson were able to assist us in getting our keys as quick as they could and guided us through every step. I have had a terrible experience of dealing with this company. Very quick to bill for their fees and we have found out 3 years later they didn’t follow up on the work that was to be completed with our conveyance work. We trusted them to complete the work and have had to chase it 10 times, still unresolved. They now say that COVID delays are a factor when the work was paid for in 2018 before COVID even started. No customer services what so ever, won’t return a call even though they were paid in full for the work. Avoid unless you like experiencing delays.

I used Gibson and Associates for a mortgage switch. In the process I dealt with 2 solicitors and my rating is the average of a 1 and a 5. The solicitor initially assigned to me never really progressed the file and I eventually had to ask to replace him as I could never get through to him. His replacement did an excellent job, was very responsive and managed to carry out the switch in a timely manner. Unfortunately the time lost with the first solicitor resulted in my switch being completed beyond the normal 4/5 weeks and 1 month later than expected.

After a long battle of nearly 4 years, dealing with the FBR regards granting Irish Citizenship to our sons. We contacted Gibson & Associates to deal with FBR on our behalf. My Dad and I sought assistance from Gibson & Associates for immigration consulting. It was seamless. The process was explained clearly. Minimal contact was necessary outside the back and forth with forms/paperwork. The team members we dealt with were extremely professional. We were warned that due to Brexit and COVID, there would be a significant waiting time but we ended up having our applications processed quicker than anticipated.

I was forced to remove the last review by one of their partners. Gibson and Associates are rude, gave me bad advise and turned pretty nasty when I questioned their motives. The below makes it look like they wanted to help, but they were more concerned with a bad review, rather than fixing the problems they left me with. They also don't have a path to make an official complaint within their organisation. Avoid them at all costs.

My 1 star is simply to do with this situation. I called their office to seek advice, was told no one available but will get one of their solicitors to call. After a couple of days, got a call from their Landline...the phone rang for less than 2 seconds. Then an email to say they missed me. This happened again a day after...same 2 secs ring, then email Unprofessional conduct by a well known law firm.

Had a really bad experience with this agency . Even though most review looks positive . My question was about work permits. The meeting lasted 5 minute and I paid for that 245 euro . I couldn’t see any preparation for the meeting. I emailed few times about bad experience to Gibson but no one got back to me. Disappointed!
