My daughter went to this school for one year. I have to say the culture of this school is not supportive nor welcoming. The school OSHC care was cancelled for a whole term last year, my daughter had no place to go before the school opened. I had to drop her off half way to school to walk there so she could get there at the time of the gate opened everyday(she was only 7 ATM) But just one morning, just ONE! I had to drop her off in front of the gate about 10 mins before the gate opened because of the weather, one of the teachers saw me leaving her next to the gate and came to me said: "Oh, the gate is not open yet. You cannot leave her here! This is your own daughter, you cannot do this!' This teacher tried to make me feel guilty by leaving my daughter there just because I had to go to work and there was no OSHC. Then she left and went to tell the school leadership, the principal came out and said something similar. I literally bursed out tears and said I had no choice, there was no OSCH, I had to go to work. to pay for bills. The principal showed me no empathy and did not feel that they needed to do more to help out parents. Eventually he took my daughter into the office and said 'I would only keep her this time, but no more.' This school is really cold.... I daughter had two teachers during her learning in that year, she had one good teacher called Ms Emily, another teacher she had was very cold. The Seesaw app the another teacher let us parents to get onto, the messaging function was blocked. There was no way to interact or communicate with the class teacher at all except emails. No any update about my daughter's learnings at all from the Seesaw. I emailed the school leadership whether parents could get any photos of my kids and her friends when they went on to the camp for three days, I did not get any responses at all. They had a few excursions as well, parents did not get anything of their trips neither. I am a teacher myself. I know teaching is quite stressful and workload is massive. But I know no matter how busy I am, parents need to know something about their children's daily life at school. But while my daughter was at this school, I got none. There are good teachers and bad ones at any school, but every school has a culture. This school's culture is quite cold, I never feel I was part of the community. The leadership and most of the teachers there did not do anything to make it better or feel parents are valued.
I used to go to this school. And as I was reading the other reviews I was shocked to see some of the negative comments made as it was home to me when I went there. I had a teacher, Miss B ( Kate Byron Scott) and many others too and they were all really supportive and patient even when I wasn't fluent at English. the classes were muticultural so nobody ever felt excluded or an outcast which is why i loved this school. when I was there the after school program was great. we got to chose our activities and it was really inclusive and welcoming. the bus was also free for me and my little brother too, it dropped us off to our house directly and also picked us up. the bus driver was also really nice!! would rate infinite starts if I could!!!
Rating: 00/10 This school doesn't deserve even 1 star. I could give infinite zero star. The worst school ever experienced in Australia. All teachers, other staff members and school leaders are very worst. In this school children suffers a lot. They are not learning anything. Instead lots of bullying, racism and no equality. Do not send your child in this school which has very bad environment and completely filled with negativity. Never recommend
I go to gsps currently. Honestly it's not the worst. The kids aren't even bad and we're all just normal silly kids ♀️ Our classrooms are decently sized and our school is so multicultural so you can never feel left out. Some of the teachers are eh but most of then are really nice. I'm gonna miss gsps so much next year. Overall pretty good and really memorable .
I went to this school. It’s a very good environment and a lot of the teachers are good although some of them are not good at all. It has support for your kid and is quite small so you can get to know a lot of people there.
"This is the best school! You'll love it!" - beamed a couple of students on our tour there to my son and I. Now, 2 and a half years later my son and I want you to know: This is the best school! You'll love it! :)
Ok school well placed but near a private school which does make it a bit had to feel important. Great teachers nice students, and it has a school bus for parents who cannot drive children to school
Excellent service between 2016-2019 from Kate & Deb in IELP, the Spanish grade seven teacher and Rod in admin
Pleasant experience so far. It's a city school, staff seem decent and organised.
The teachers are not well trained and not doing their job properly…
this school was home to a smart young boy with a man bun
