This gym is interesting. It has both a lot of upsides and downsides. I looked at 6 different gyms in my area before choosing this gym, however I took my subscription during a Sunday and this altered my perception a bit, because it was almost empty and the next day when I came to train on Monday at peak hour there were almost 0 machines available. Therefore, I want to lay out the down- and upsides so you can make a well-informed choice. Upsides: - Cheap - A lot of machines (if they are available and especially for cable machines that is a big if), also for lesser trained muscles like Abs and Forearms - Good location - Long opening hours for the price - Relatively clean Downsides: - No WiFi and even 4G/5G reception is quite bad - Extremely busy from Monday-Thursday between 13:00 to 21:00. Especially if you want to do a chest/bicep day, then you have to plan it during a more quiet time or you will not be able to do every machine - Weights are always everywhere and it can be hard to find the right weights sometimes - Some of the machines are a bit older in the basement, especially the machines for your back are quite old. I think the biggest setback with this gym is how busy it is. It is located next to the University and they have a deal. I do think this gym has some great elements and I hope this review will help you in finding the right gym for you.

It's OK. Clean, has all the things you need, main training area in the basement is quite large, has multiple cable towers, a very large bench area with extra benches, which makes it quite nice to be honest. Location is city center. The downside is mainly that they blast hard techno music from speakers hanging quite low, in such a volume, that whatever headphones / earbuds you're wearing, you will hear and might be be annoyed by it. It definitely would exceed other countries' safety limits. But if you are an introvert and have social anxiety like I do: prepare to stare at the floor a lot and make sure to have noise cancelling headphones. The layout of the gym is a bit annoying, it is spread out on 5 floors connected by stairs. Make sure to bring your own large water bottle with store bought water, because tap water in Barcelona (while safe) has the tendency to taste and smell quite bad (for Northern-European sensibilities) Important: You will need your own padlock for the lockers, but at least they are nice enough to lend you one in case you're a tourist with a German card. (not sure what happens to locals) I only go there because it is next to the apartment I always stay in BCN (city center!), I have free McFit membership, and to be fair: the equipment is quite good.

Los entrenadores genial, la mayoría son muy agradables y las máquinas son modernas y intuitivas, pero todo está muy sucio, descuidado y desordenado. Voy a aclarar que la gente es extremadamente CERDA, existen papeleras por todas las esquinas de las instalaciones, aún así papel por el suelo, botellas de cosméticos en los vestuarios, etiquetas, botellas de agua, entre otros… Los baños al menos del vestuario masculino dan verdadero ASCO siempre huele fatal y se aprecia a simple vista que no está limpio… Repito que es porque culpa de lo incívica que es la gente, pero si es cierto que últimamente no veo al personal de limpieza, como hace unos meses… Hoy especialmente se podía apreciar un hedor que no era común de un vestuario, era más desagradable de lo normal… Considero que deberían aplicarse sanciones a aquellas personas que no contribuyan a mantener la higiene y el orden de las instalaciones, porque el motivo por el cuál está tan sucio es porque la mayoría de l@s usuari@s son muy descuidad@s y supongo que por motivos que desconozco el personal de limpieza está ausente.

Una estrella y porque no puedo poner menos. Una estafa en cuanto darse de baja, no te informan de nada, te dicen que sale en la clausura la cual ni te mandan por correo, ni te la dan en mano, y encima cuando te das de baja el empleado del mostrador no te informa de las condiciones y al hacer la baja me cobran un recargo extra (10€ aproximadamente) porque según ellos tengo que pagar el siguiente mes obligatoriamente. Encima para pagar 40€ al mes (que por eso me di de baja) y tener que estar esperando 20 min mínimo por máquina porque los croissants de la sala están más por el móvil que por su sesión de ejercicio, entonces para mirar gente me voy al parque que es gratis, o ir al vestuario y que a la hora de cambiarte la gente te mire como perros que se mueren de hambre. Si pones gente de atención al cliente entonces que trabajen, que no vayan detrás de hombres y mujeres, para eso que se descarguen tinder. Es una completa estafa.

Pongo una estrella porque no se puede poner menos, el trato de los trabajadores es penoso, trabajan con desgana, no te resuelven ninguna duda. De la atención al cliente ya ni hablemos, te contestan mal y te cuelgan. Además de ser una estafa piramidal, cuando estás terminando tu contrato de 1 año, te lo renuevan automáticamente 6 meses, tienes que darte de baja mínimos 2 meses antes porque sino luego se hacen los locos, según dicen debe ser 15 días pero te van poniendo pegas hasta que ya ha pasado el plazo y tienes que esperar al mes siguiente. Te renuevan sin saber nada, te das de baja y de repente un día te llega un cobro y llamas y te dicen que hasta dentro de 6 meses darte de baja. Está claro que no voy a recomendar nada esta cadena, si alguien me pregunta pienso decir que es horrible, y por supuesto nunca más me voy a apuntar aquí. Que asco de cadena.

I feel sorry to write this review but they don’t even deserve 1 star … 1 thing - no Wi-Fi ( can’t even use my data there / no connection inside the building) 2 thing - one worker been getting on my nerves like crazy , keep coming every now and then telling that they’re closing soon , like I wouldn’t know that already. 3thing - the studio hasn’t open 24h which is I think normal for Barcelona nevermind … but I mean it has open till 00:00 ? Isn’t it ? The worker told me I need to leave at 00:00. Then the other day he’s telling me I need to leave at 23:45 and is shocked why I come only for 30-20 min . Maybe I don’t have the time , who knows , none of their business anyways … Come on please do better I was hoping to get my mind off a little but it’s not possible there , which is really sad I hope I will never visit this particular studio ever again lol

Writing here because I run out of options. This gym customer service and whole payment system is horrible and fraudulent. (be aware when you sign contract) I had pending 5eu payment that I specifically asked customer service to help me pay and I received no response. And after while I got a mail with request to pay 250eu fine and cancelation of my contract. This was unacceptable, but on top of that I have not received any calls or emails asking or helping to solve 5eu payment, they just forwarded my dept to LEXER company which been even more horrible. I've been sending email and callign then and what I received is same generated email that did not answered my questions and when I CALLED them they hanged up the phone!!!!! I've been trying to be nice and deal with 5eu problem, but Mcfit just don't care about customers, and handles them as a thrash!

In comparison to other McFit gyms this one is incredibly basic and really badly maintained. When it rains the gym leaks with plaster chunks collapsing off the ceilings and the smell of dampness lingers for days - the solution is to place buckets around the gym to accumulate the water. The gym doesn’t seem to have a quiet period - it is constantly busy with guys taking selfies and chatting as opposed to actually working out. There are only one set of dumbbells from 1k - 10kg and the equipment is not well maintained. There is no enforcement from staff to advise customers to leave their equipment back in place or to wipe the sweat off benches and machines. The same playlist plays on repeat since May. Good points are that once a member of McFit you can use others in Europe, it’s central and has good lighting.

Fui para conocer este gimnasio y la persona que estuvo en recepción el domingo 27 de agosto a las 7pm no sirve para atención al público y menos para estar en recepción de tal conocida marca porque por uno así, paga toda la cadena. Fui con un amigo para matricularnos y si no le decimos hola primero ni nos saluda, le dijimos que queríamos conocer el gym, nos da el pase y solo nos dice que tiene : 3 plantas, ni nos mostró las zonas, al finalizar el recorrido con mi amigo que no duró ni 5 minutos porque ya se nos había quitado las ganas de matricularnos, esperábamos que nos diera los precios pero simplemente abrió la puerta y nos dijo adiós. Mucho que desear, espero que lo echen porque personas así no merecen ese puesto.

Lo que escriben otras personas sobre la cancelación de los contratos, es verdad. Tuve que pagar un precio más alto en mi tarifa porque estuve en Barcelona unos tres meses y opté por la tarifa mensual justo por eso. Llego el día que su propia app pone para darme de baja y luego me contestan que tengo que pagar un mes más insistiendo que la información de su propia app no es correcta. (lo cual si es así o se considera una estafa o una intención de engaño lo cual es un delito). Siguen demandando dinero aunque me haya ido del país. Es una pena tratar a sus clientes de esta manera. Tampoco el servicio que ofrecen es para tanto. Desesperados para el dinero y para aprovecharse de gente que no conoce sus derechos.

This gym in Barcelona is amazing! I loved the multi level facility with absolutely every piece of equipment I could possibly need to work all my different muscle groups. I have been weigh lifting for many years and they have machines I’ve never seen at home in the US or on my travels to different country’s. Mark was so helpful showing me around and giving me some new tips on how to improve my lift. The Facility was very clean and the disinfectant they are using is hospital grade. I felt very comfortable and safe working out here. Thank you McFit Barcelona and special thank you to Mark!!! I will definitely be coming back to here again!

this little surfer boy (justin bieber hair 2016) who always does the lateshift is abnormally annoying and should be fired. every time he has shift he turns off the music at 23:20 and tells the people that they are about to close... at 23:20!!!! just so this little surfer boy can go home early from his work which he obviously hates... this is extremely annoying and he is the only one who does this everyone else turns off the music at 23:55 and says it's time to go but he's already running around like a clown at 23:20 and starts closing things down... please fire him, gracias

Gimnasio de la cadena Low Cost McFit ubicado en la planta de arriba del centro comercial La Farga de l’Hospitalet de Llobregat. Tiene todo tipo de salas y clases virtuales. Las máquinas son muy modernas y hay varias de cada tipo. Tiene maquinas especificas para entrenar running y maquina de escaleras que simula a escaleras reales Abre todos los días del año y tiene un precio muy bueno (hay algunas ofertas durante el año). Tiene parking gratis durante 3 horas como en todos los mc fit. El personal es muy amable y atento.

En recepción me atendieron súper bien y bastante rápido. Las instalaciones son muy chulas, un ambiente diferente. Tienen un horario muy amplio, yo fui un domingo por la tarde lo cual está genial. Si no le pongo 5 estrellas es porque es muy laberíntico, con varias plantas, tipos de máquinas divididos en diferentes salas, salas que se acceden cruzando otras... Vamos que hay que moverse mucho y subir y bajar escaleras si usas máquinas variadas y algunas cuesta encontrarlas.

NO SE INSCRIBAN! Asqueroso lugar. Desistí del contrato con permanencia antes de los 14 días permitidos y me han perdido el comprobante por lo que sigo de alta y me siguen cobrando y tienen la cara de quererme cobrar indemnización y amenazarme con abogados por daños cuando ni siquiera he ido al asqueroso gimnasio ese. El servicio de atención al cliente es pésimo y las instalaciones peor. Si lo que buscan es ahorrar, por 5 euros más hay gimnasios mejores

De lo peor que hay. Le pasan tus datos a una compañía de recobros si no quieres seguir yendo al gimnasio. 305€ me ha costado la gracia de querer entrenar “ un mes” que no los hechicen con sus ofertas de 2 meses gratis o cosas por el estilo porque luego salir es casi imposible, y de lo contrario, le envían todos tus datos a una compañía de recobros que te van a estar dando dolores de cabeza. Mejor vayan al BDIR, u otros gimnasios que este ….

The facilities of the gym are very average (NO WIFI !!!) and the weights usually are all over the place. It gets really busy during peak times, and sometimes unable to work out properly. Most importantly, I have to note the girl at the reception provides the BEST costumer service you ll ever encounter at any gym. She always very helpful and attentive to help with whatever issue you may have. Very kind and friendly which amazed me immensely.

Good gym with good equipment. They have everything you need. It's designed like a maze where you have to go through multiple rooms to get from the first floor to the third, which is odd. It was pretty packed the times I went but that's because there was a festival in town. Also note that even though the gym "opens" at 6am, reception doesn't start until 9am, so you won't be able to get a day pass until then.

El gimnasio esta bien equipado en una buena localicacion, centro de Barcelona y a muy buen precio. El personal excelente en especial recomiendo al entrenador Said Suriol muy profesional, eficiente, atento y muy amable. Si te pones en sus manos vas ha tener muy buenos resultados tanto como entrenador y nutricionista. Ofrece un servicio muy completo.

I enjoyed working out here. They had everything I need for my weight training routine. I thought it was clean and all the machines were working properly. Day pass was €15. The only downside was other members are not very courteous of putting weights back when they are done using them so you have to search around to find proper sets of dumbbells.

HAY ROBOS en el vestuario! CUIDADO! Me han robado en el vestuario. Y lo peor es que el staff ya sabía que un ladrón llevaba días saltándose las barreras para entrar en el gimnasio y robar. Terrible!! It is like the management of this company is not even interested in making it a nice place, they only collect their money on a monthly basis and thats it. El gimnasio esta muy bien, sobre todo teniendo en cuenta el precio (no deja de ser una cadena low cost) y la ubicación, en pleno centro de Barcelona. Los espacios están bien y las maquinas son mejores que las habituales en McFit. Lo negativo, los vestuarios masculinos son pequeños y hay mucha gente por las tardes (como en todos)

Es una cadena de gimnasios low cost de buena calidad, aunque en especial esta sede está súper mal distribuida, el aire no funciona correctamente y deberían preocuparse de arreglar las máquinas defectuosas, ya que llevan varias semanas averiadas, sigue siendo igual o peor, sin contar que en los baños siempre huelen fatal.

El gym está en buenas condiciones. La mejor parte es el personal! Personalmente estaba en busca de una entrenadora personal para mejorar mi físico. Le quiero dar las gracias a Sara Serrat Espinosa por hacer las clases interesantes y difíciles simultáneamente. Es una persona muy atenta y profesional en su área de trabajo!

Very bad Gym The Basement floor where the most weights its always packed with people you can't train in peace. Also the Air is very very bad down there. The weights are are all over the place nobody cares or tidy up there. I wish I had paid a little bit more for a better gym but now I need to wait.

Ubicación excelente. Mala distribución de las máquinas y de los aseos, por lo que te ves obligado a subir y bajar escaleras constantemente. Vestuarios muy pequeños para la gran afluencia de gente que hay. Las taquillas funcionan con candado en vez de con la tarjeta, por lo que es más incómodo.

It's not perfect, but it's pretty nice. If you prefer an "iron" gym, instead of a family gym or a health club, mc fit's gyms are the best I've found in Barcelona so far (I've tried like 5/6). Friendly people, a lot of machines, bars, free weights and the room has a nice vibe to it.

Las instalaciones están genial, hay muchísima variedad de máquinas, no te falta espacio en ningún momento, las luces son increibles, los trabajadores con los que he hablado son todos super simpáticos y agradables, dispuestos a ayudarte para lo que sea. Lo recomiendo muchísimo.

Las clases dirigidas son muy buenas, destaco la de los lunes y miercoles a primera hora: el nuevo instructor es muy energico y sabe sacar lo mejor de todas, es el mejor despertador. Martes y jueves por la tarde de 18 a 19hs también muy recomendable.

Buen gimnasio, correcto y muy buena ubicación en pleno centro. A destacar los entrenadores personales, en concreto Sara Serrat, una profesional de los pies a la cabeza y super entregada en lo que hace. Te prepara rutina y dieta a tu medida.
