I purchased a lap top for my son. It was a deal too good to be true. After I had it checked out by a professional computer repair specialist... it turned out alot was wrong with it. I brought it back and the woman there said nothing was wrong with it, but she put another hard drive in it. A few days later I had to get it checked out AGAIN!!! At this point I was livid and discouraged that such a place would sell merchandise that did not live up to it's standards. I took the laptop back and got a refund. GINSTAR ON NORTHSIDE DRIVE NEEDS TO DO BETTER!!! I see people posting reviews some good and some bad. It is sad you can't trust where you spend your money to get the quality that you expect. I will never do business here ever again...#too good to be true!!! Get your stuff checked out by a professional. Thanks to @Dixon Computer repair for your standard of honesty.

This is not my first time buying from this establishment- I have been coming here since 2016 so yes I am a repeat customer. However -while I was waiting on an upgrade today I needed to use the bathroom and unfortunately Ginstar Computers will not allow their paying customers to use the restroom- I had to go next door to the Benchmark Trophy Shop ( and those guys at Benchmark were very accommodating) I just spent over $300 at Ginstar Computers and you don’t have bathroom access for your repeated paying customers..... I will not be returning....... I will not continue to spend my money where I am not appreciated

The worst shopping experience I've had in a long, long time. Have you ever spoke to a retailer on the phone the day before visiting the place just to make sure they have what you need at the price your shopping for? Then when you get there the next day everything is different from the conversation plus now their english is suddenly bad. No one likes their time waisted. I ended up back in the parking lot on the cell phone locating one of their nearby competitors. I found one, went there, had a great computer part shopping experience at a much better price. I wish I could give this place zero stars.

Let me say normally my experience is good and I have been going to them for over 15+ years. This time and after $300 later my computer was/is still not working properly. I paid all that money, had to wait an extra week because the parts were delivered to the wrong address and my computer is still doing what they said they could fix. She even thought it was still in the back and did not realize it had been picked up. Never was I offered a partial credit or anything. I was and am disappointed. So I went to a big box store and just purchased another computer.

They don't carry any parts period and they charge $125 for the first hour and prorate every hour afterwards! They sell refurbished machines with Windows 7 on it and the money they claim you would save you have to give to them to install the Windows 10 why not have it on the machine and charge accordingly instead of misleading the customer into thinking you saving them some money when they're not! They come out to your house for you got it $125 for the first hour ridiculous! I went to the location on Northside Drive .

I've been shopping with Ginstar for years and they've always been professional and upfront. They are reliable and make things happen. Today, I had to address an issue with an used charger I brought from them and didn't have my receipt but I asked if they could pull it up by my phone number. The young lady was prompt and professional and make sure I got my laptop back up and running without question, hassle, nor fuss. I've never been let down by this place and I'm glad they have a location in Atlanta now.

Needed my MacBook Pro 13 2020 screen replaced, was done within 2-3 hours, and for way cheaper price than the Apple Certified Companies. After calling several Apple Certified Companies they said it would take 3-7 days to be fixed and would cost $500, plus labor costs, diagnostics cost and taxes which would come up to $700-800 dollars. But here they did it for $380. Keep your money and come here. It’s the same high quality service just for cheaper. Don’t let these big tech companies steal your money.

I was introduced to GinStar by an entire stranger....I have been at GinStar a couple of times and I met the same person, Julie, at those times. The goods and services are in tandem with the exact descriptions of the stranger. Julie is simply an oustanding and a richly endowed/versatile expert in matters associated with computers. Without mincing words, a trial will superlatively convince anybody who has ANY concerns with their computer system!

Whenever someone asks me where can they find a computer, or PC, I referred them to Ginstar. Also if I need my computer issues addressed, I always call Julie, who is very humble, and very professional, and she does what she says she will do. She doesn't overcomplicate things, but it's professional and completes the work in a timely manner. Give them a call, or visit the store, I'm sure they can help you out with your technical issues.

Loved this place. I came here to replace the screen on my laptop and it literally took five minutes. The owner is smart and knowledgeable not to mention they were friendly. It is easy to find and there is plenty of parking. Never a big crowd do you will be in and out with normally no wait time. I currently can not locate the photo that I took but I will upload it later. If I do not forget.

Went here to buy a halfway decent keyboard, thinking I would pay a premium price, but ended up spending only $30 for a predator gaming mouse and keyboard. Since they were used parts, the nice clerk let me test them out on a display laptop that was for sale. This was exactly the experience I was looking for. Very satisfied to be taking my business away from Best buy and Walmart.

I went to GIM computer today in an emergency situation. The owner was very nasty and used a negative tone stating that he could not look at my computer in one day. If I did not like it, I could go somewhere else. I found his response and behavior very rude and nasty. They don't deserve my business and all the money I have given them over the years. I will go somewhere else!

If I ever have any computer problems in the future, I will definitely be taking my computer to Ginstar Downtown. The technicians are very friendly and really explain to you the problem that's occurring. For someone like myself who does not know much about computers, I really appreciated that. Thank you!

The current staff (July 2020) don't know anything about software. They replaced my hard disk. I asked them to save all software and data and copy all to the new disk. They charged me $40 for this and made a mess. It will take me days or even weeks to recover. They just didn't know how to do it.

Very expensive I appreciate your reply and understand your techs do have certifications. However you tried to sell me a 10 dollar part for 30 dollars. I went over to microcenter and got it for 20 dollars less. Just my experience. I will try again at different point to see what you have

I arrived to the shop at 10am, their opening time and no one was there. When I called the number on the door, I was told that I could leave my laptop at the print shop next door. When I told her no then she said no one will be there for another 30 minutes!

Bought a computer that does not hold a battery Charge long cannot down load anything on the computer and the lady does not want to refund my money DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY AND ATTEMPT TO BARGAIN REPAIRS BEFORE CUTTING YOU OFF !!

Julie at Ginstar is one of the Best Computer Repair and largest inventory of computer equipment in Atlanta. She's is extremely skilled at her Job. Extremely helpful to all her customers. The Best I've seen in Atlanta. Definitely recommend to everyone.

Came here on a Saturday. Drove 35 mins. Online and their front door says Saturday hours are 11 am to 5 pm. Arrived at 4:01, door was locked and lights were off. Extremely frustrating. Now that I read the other reviews, this seems to be a common issue.

I do not recommend this place. I brung my phone to be repaired and when I got it my home button was too tight and the glass popped out the screen and I believe they messed up my lcd and my phone won’t hold a charge ‍♀️ Save your $80 …

I was told to come here to have my sons laptop fixed. We ended up having it fixed and adding Windows newest for 100$ we also bought a new monitor for a desk top and saved $300! I will keep coming here as long as they're open!

The young lady was outstanding as she helped me figure out exactly what the problem was. I ended up gagging to purchase a new hard drive and data cable. I saw other components that I want to purchase so I'll be back!!!

The Indian guy that works in there is a little liar and a crook. He won't admit to frying my motherboard while installing my new keyboard. And still charged me the $80 to install it on my now dead HP touchscreen

Went to get a screen repair. Said it would take an hour. Called after an hour to say they stripped the screw and couldn’t replace it. Makes it very hard to get it replaced now

I love ginstar! One of the things I really miss about Atlanta, I have not found a store as good as Ginstar anywhere. Even major electronics outlets don't compare.

I go to Ginstar because they have reasonably priced computer equipment. Also, if you have any issues, they will resolve them. I can always find what I need here.
