I came here on a recommendation and generally from the moment I walked in it made a good impression. While browsing the menu (too many different dishes in my opinion) we were immediately asked if we prefer still or sparkling water. So we assumed it was free, as in many more expensive European restaurants. We ordered 'Steak ao sal grosso' (with the addition of 'Polenta') and 'strogonoff de filet mignon'. Plus juices - orange and pineapple with mint. The dishes were served quite quickly, we waited about 25 minutes. Great stroganoff. The steak was good, but for a tenderloin it's average, I wouldn't order it again. The side dish recommended by the waiter turned out to be a poor combination for the steak. In addition, that side dish was served in an old, broken pot (check picture), which in my opinion should not be used at all!!! One juice was served, but we had to ask for the other. After the main courses we were tempted by 'Romeu & Julieta' and 'Tarte tatin' desserts, which we liked. Unfortunately, the bill surprised us. Turns out the water wasn't free, it cost 38R$ a bottle. Cleverly, we were not asked if we wanted water, but immediately what kind of water we wanted. In addition, a 12% tip was automatically added for serving 2 people. I'm used to tipping automatically for larger groups, but apparently in Rio they also add it for two as well. The rating would have been 5-stars, were it not for the use of old and broken pots, which made me concerned about my health and the final bill, which was 84R$ more.

We recently had the pleasure of dining at Giuseppe Grill in Rio de Janeiro, we were travelling from Toronto, Canada and I have to say, it was an absolutely amazing experience. From the moment we walked in the door, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism by the staff. The ambiance of the restaurant was truly top-notch, with a cozy and inviting atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The menu was filled with an array of mouthwatering options, but we ultimately decided on the grilled octopus (my favorite)and the picanha steak. Both dishes were cooked to perfection and the flavors were out of this world. The sides were also top-notch, with a variety of vegetables and sauces to choose from. But the true highlight of the evening was the service. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive, making sure that every aspect of our meal was to our liking. They even recommended the perfect wine pairing to complete our dining experience. Overall, I highly recommend Giuseppe Grill for anyone looking for a delicious and memorable dining experience in Rio de Janeiro. Five stars all the way!

Not a huge sign on the front. So easy to miss if you don’t know what to look for. Small quant place. Hostess desk is beyond the bar. Some serves knew a little English and they have an English menu. Wine is by the bottle. Caesar salad was a it watery and bland but the salmon ceviche made up for everything that salad lacked. The ceviche was so delicious. I enjoyed it so much. I had the wagyu steak medium temp. Was a little medium rare but was perfect. Topped with sea salt was chefs kiss. The cream spinach was bland even with salt. The server recommended the hot guava an ice cream for desert and it was the perfect end to an amazing meal. The ice cream had bits of cake in it. 9.7/10. Must try if in the area. But make a reservation.

Wonderful experience. The robalo was super fresh, cooked delicately, came to the table light, flaky and tasty. The bread bowl and toppings to kick off the meal hit the spot, particularly the chickpea spread. Wife enjoyed her salmon, nice thick cut. The roasted potato sides were ok, but the creamed corn was killer good. Finished the evening with ice cream topped with lemoncello, highly recommended to give it a go. Place was very well organized, good service, great atmosphere. Enjoyed the toro paintings and collection tucked down the stairs outside of the restrooms. There’s a nice little sofa down there, perfect get away spot if you need to take a phone call during dinner without interrupting everyone else. Kid friendly. Will hit the beef next time.

One of the best steaks I’ve ever tasted, the meat was cooked to perfection. Also a great selection of sides with portion sizes enough to share between two - we went for the grilled vegetables, giuseppe potatoes and Caesar salad. Also recommend the breaded sirloin steak balls filled with cheese as a starter. The staff were welcoming and attentive throughout the meal, offering their recommendations on the food and wine (the restaurant has an extensive wine list) More on the pricier side for meals we had in Rio but definitely worth it, especially if celebrating a special occasion. Will visit again when next in Rio

The service was not good. It truly felt as if we weren't welcome as tourists so take note if you're just visiting. More than once we felt disrespected. The final straw was that when we arrived they took our hotel umbrellas at the front. We forgot them on our way out and when we called as soon as we got back to the hotel we were told that no one had left any umbrellas. The food was mediocre. We had a cut of meat, shared a pasta, and Caesar salad. The meat was okay, the pasta and salad didn't meet expectations given the level of restaurant.

Best Steak House in Rio....the food is excellent from the steak till dessert, picanha, lamb chop juicy and tender...cooked to perfection. Broccoli garlic ia good. The dessert must try the coconut cake and banana grill. The service is friendly and waitress Daniel is very informative and friendly. Claudia the supervisor also keep checking if we need anything

Fantastic meal, fantastic wine list, superior service and beautiful room! Giuseppe Grill definitely puts the "fine" In fine dining. Dry aged steaks, fresh seafood and absolutely wonderful side dishes. It was the perfect encore to our vacation time in Leblon. Tomorrow we leave for Buzios, but I will definitely remember this wonderful meal!

Beautiful luxurious restaurant, our hotel (Miramar by Windsor) recommended this restaurant and I’m glad they did, me and my wife went there from Copacabana which was a quick 10min Uber drive. We arrived at 8pm with reservation in place, all the employees were extremely polite and gave us great service specially our server Edson who gave us great recommendations for drinks, I ordered the Picanha and my wife ordered the grilled Salmon and both were great, for dessert we had the chocolate Petit Gateu that was amazing !

A beautiful place! 10+/10 Absolutely deserves it’s score. We had a birthday dinner there and everything was perfect - food was delicious, a cocktail I wanted wasn’t on the menu, but they just prepared it for me. Our waiter (Tayrone if I remember name correctly) was very attentive, polite, spoke English and gave great recommendations on food. We felt very well taken care of and can only recommend this beautiful restaurant!

Rude hostess and inattentive wait staff. The food was mediocre, at best. The pork prime rib was tough, without flavor. Creamed corn was like a soup of flour batter with 4 kernels of corn. The venue is a cool space, so it has that going for it. Can’t believe this place was once Michelin rated. I’ve had a better dining experience at a fast food restaurant. Don’t waste your time or money and go somewhere else.

If you love steak & amazing service, then you will love Giuseppe Grill Leblon. The service was amazing. Everyone greets you properly, servers are attentive, & the ambiance is great. I order the prime rib dry age with mashed potatoes. I had it cooked medium well. Amazing! Literally an amazing taste. I wanted the Wagyu, but they were out of stock. I highly recommend this restaurant

Really great steakhouse! They offered to order Picanha Supra Sumo and we didn’t regret it! It was wonderful, juicy and tasty. My tip is don’t order seafood in Rio, it is about meat, especially beef. Seafood is very average here. And second if you want medium done order medium rare. They all misuse common types of roast. We also liked the dessert.

Of our entire stay in Brazil this was the best meal we had! Absolutely phenomenal experience from start to finish. The service was spectacular and so helpful. We both had the Giuseppe special, pichana Supra Sumo and it was probably the best steak I’ve ever had. The flavor was to die for! The dessert line up was awesome and had the apple pie with caramel ice cream…. Delicious. A must visit if in the Ipanema area !

Absolutely loved it! The ambiance was perfect! The sides are large enough portions to share, my steak was cooked perfectly medium. They don’t offer steak sauces. We found the large menu variety to be a little overwhelming. Overall it was a great experience! Even with the language barrier, they still managed to take care of us! Giuseppe Grill in Leblon, Rio de Janeiro offers a solid dining experience. The food was good, with decent flavors and presentation. However, it fell short of being amazing. The service was attentive, but the overall ambiance lacked that extra spark. A good option, but not one that left a lasting impression.

Fantastic steakhouse. Order the prime rib, it is a great cut for two to share. Very friendly service and (rare enough) good choice of wines by the glass, with double the amount from the usual pour. One, if not the, best in Rio.

It's the best pure steakhouse we've had in Rio. Simple, high quality cuts cooked perfectly. It was expensive for the area and the reason for taking a star away. While I understand a cover charge, R$25 a person was excessive for the area.

Great night. it's not the cheapest restaurant in the area, but certainly one of the best. you can find the best shellfish, the best meats and a large selection of wines. The service is perfect. this is our best restaurant while on vacation in Rio.
