I highly recommend Rhyme Time at Glen Street, particularly when Jess is leading the session. Jess is exceptional at engaging with children and encouraging their participation in the group. She carefully selects age-appropriate songs and rhymes and adjusts the pace of the session to ensure the children remain engaged without feeling overwhelmed or bored. Additionally, she thoughtfully uses recordings and a speaker, enabling the children to enjoy the sound of their own voices. Rhyme Time sessions have been instrumental in supporting my son's speech development. Thank you for providing such a wonderful program that is so valuable for CALD communities.
There is no sound isolation, not even a wall, between the study and reading area and the children's playground. The library is small and sound of frequent screaming and clattering blocks is not conducive to either of these efforts. This is a major design flaw and this needs to be fixed. Otherwise the internet is high-speed and if you can get into a private study room or if there is no children at the time it is nice.
I find it hard to believe that a library that serves the community is seldom open at a time that SUITS THE WORKING COMMUNITY. Closed at 5 pm (and you get very clearly pushed out) - poor weekend times! Just weird. Suggest that for a few days a week, open 1 or 2 hours later in the morning, split shifts, stay open to 6 pm, or God forbid, 7? Come on - this is not the 80's, right?
Terribly designed library. Sound travels throughout the whole library and you cannot get a scrap of work done. Right now I am in the corner in the study area where you bring your own laptop and feel like I am part of the sing a long children's nursery rhymes on the other side of the library 50 meters away. Who designed this place! Looks nice but it doesn't work!
Unbelievably bad staff. One eastern european woman who just shouts across the library to her colleagues. All the quiet rooms are used as storage for staff and not available. Without a doubt the worst library on the northern beaches. Go to Chatswood instead, its infinitely better
A nice library with a great range of resources, books, DVDs and magazines. However, every time I have visited the library, the staff are very loud and often yell/talk loudly to their colleagues. It can be hard to read and concentrate in peace due to loud staff.
Amazing experience at all times!!! Staff at the Glen Street Library is very helpful, curties, attentive and informative!!! Well stock and equipped library. My family and me love going there!! Thank you!
Cosy library, small but feels spacious. Staff are kind and very helpful. Wifi connected fine, and it was fairly peaceful while I was there. A good collection, and plenty of nooks to read or study in.
Lovely library, needs to be open for longer, or start earlier in the morning as 10am is very late and for kids who travel for school 5pm leaves them about 30 mins to study by the time they get there
Peaceful, very confortable, good range of books and general information, very helpful staff ,close to transport ,shops and parks
Small library, Greta kids section. Would benefit from better opening hours on the weekend.
WiFi was ok but my biggest complaint is when new libraries don't have a water fountain. :(
Very interesting family history workshop. Also I am going to go to an author talk.
Lovely library, lovely staff but always closed at times I need it most :(
Well organised, with a lot of light and good book selection
Beautiful library, but too loud for study.
Lovely little library with helpful staff
Very helpuful staff
