Awesome store I was here a few weeks ago and bought some plants. They had a couple pest snails on them but I removed them and it was no problem. They have a great selection of fish and sell a specific type of substrate for plants in small quantities which is perfect. I’ll probably come here again it was great

If you want healthy bettas come here because the bettas here are better than the ones at petsmart, petco and the other chain stores since the bettas here are vibrant , colorful and stunning the selection is amazing! If you're looking for healthy bettas come here

Best aquarium store in Chicago! It's like Cheers (everyone knows your name and they are always glad you came). They have something for everyone from regular enthusiasts to professional tank keepers. Great alternative to the big box stores. Very fare pricing!

Please get your fish some where else. Golden Aquarium is ran by the most dishonest owners and staff. They will try to sell you sick fish infected with anchor worm parasite by putting the fish on sale, with out telling you the fish are sick!

So disappointed in the way the tanks are kept....also, they had 3 red eared slider turtles...improper lighting. No uvb. Heat lamp was like 6 inches from the turtles head. Their shells are not healthy due to poor lighting. Retained

This is such a great store, they have everything you could need for your tanks, they're super polite and attentive, and the quality and selection of fish is very nice, so far one of my favorite stores.

Another reviewer said they have an anchor worm problem. They do, and they also have a fish lice problem. I don’t know if they keep the tanks clean, or if they just don’t inspect fish that come in.

Great store you can't find shops like this anymore well informed staff that really loves the hobby. Stores like Petco..... Pet Smart and other big box stores don't offer this unique experience.

This store has a lot of fishes with ick, fin rot, and Pine cone. The fishes I bought had ick and luckily I gave them medicine and they survived.
