Went there last weekend and went home with a gorgeous female Eclectus that had been there a while. Got some great advise on how to handle her but am happy to report she is settling in well! (Havent had to use the towel method once). Last night she even jumped up and perched on my head lol. When I get home from work she squawks for attention and then steps up immediately. Beautiful beautiful bird!

Bought a lovely cockatiel from Gem yesterday for my lonely bird in my aviary. He is just beautiful, very calm, chirping and whistling away and interested in his new friend, looks like they're going to be real good buddies. Shop is very clean, tidy and well maintained, lovely staff too. Thank you Gem, highly recommended for birds and their needs.

First time here, Lovely staff and a great selection of birds with everything needed for them. Everything was clean and orderly. Especially love that they have SA owned Seed brands which was sorghum/junk free & specific for my bird. Definitely recommend & will be back for sure!!

love this place, i got my hand raised cockatiel and he is the cutest and most well behaved bird ever! everything else like toys and cages are also very good. the people who work there are very friendly and treat my bird so well when i come to get his nails clipped …

Had my conure’s nails trimmed there today, called a few other places including a vet and they wanted to put him under gas before clipping his nails. Never heard of doing this just to clip a birds nails. I brought him here instead and they

Excellent service, Rachel is amazing, we took two budgies home. Its our first time having birds. She explained everything to us. They have beautiful birds. Would come back to buy some more toys for our little budgies.
