"I placed a cake order here and provided them with a picture of what I wanted"
"Hi"
"I've been to this place several times, the food is good but unfortunately some of the ladies here are in another world like they don't pay attention to the customer and are looking around at others while you're trying to order"
"Place is great and has quality and variety"
"I 100% recommend this bakery to make your cakes"
I placed a cake order here and provided them with a picture of what I wanted. I asked them to make it as the picture. I gave them instructions and as I said provided them a picture of what I wanted. When I came to pick it up I saw they got the color wrong. When staff contacted the manager she said I either take it or leave it and that she would not do anything for me. My question is “how do you get the color wrong and refuse to reduce the price for the customer as an apology for the mistake they made?” This cake was for my son’s birthday. Will not be ordering from here again.
Hi. I adore the bakery and the food, but I dislike the fact that I've been there a lot and the service has always been friendly BEFORE. but The new ladies at the Keeles and Roger branch now… ow my gusssh have a negative attitude; they are so unfriendly, and they’re choosing whom to treat (like friends etc.). They always rolls their eyes when they speaks to my mother. They're always like that, so could you kindly remind them to be polite? I went there for lunch (12pm) . I gave 5stars because i love the bakery so much, not the staff NOW.
I've been to this place several times, the food is good but unfortunately some of the ladies here are in another world like they don't pay attention to the customer and are looking around at others while you're trying to order. I came with my mom (English is not her first language) and she was trying to order and the lafy at the cash seemed like she was bothered by my mom and was being rude, she had this "i don't care" aura. Unfortunate that she was unprofessional, because the man that served us the food was very polite.
Place is great and has quality and variety. Only bad thing about this place is one of the staff girls working here is extremely rude at times like she hasn't slept in days. Other than that it's a great place. 11 months later I return only to have the same experience. Again with my son who always goes with me when I do go here. He has autism and this particular staff member was made aware of this the first time around but seems not to take kindly to people who have special needs. Not returning here anytime soon if at all.
I 100% recommend this bakery to make your cakes. for the first time I ordered my birthday cake there and I loved it. the red velver was very soft and super tasty . they paid attention to how I asked to decorate the cake like the one in the photo I sent and the price was very affordable, since the fur didn't have any complicated theme, I paid around 80$/85$ for the cake. all the guests loved it .I can definitely say that I will be ordering my cakes there again.
I come here all the time for a coffee and usually a croissant/muffin. I've never had a bad coffee here. It is one of my favorites in the city. I am really enjoying their almond croissant lately. The same combination at Krave coffee is almost double the price. The staff here is very efficient and always friendly. It is a highlight of my day when I am able to come to the Golden Wheat. I would come every day if I could
Excellent coffee, Vanilla Walnut muffins, best black olive loaf ever, tiramisu is gorgeous. best caramel custard in the city....great pride from owner Angela, lovely professional. 4 am.... it is open.... got the munchies..this is where you go for your sweet and savoury cravings not to horrible american fast food........ outstanding flavours, super fine quality, cleanliness and fair prices. And easy parking!!!
One of the greatest Portuguese Bakeries in the heart of Toronto GTA, they have 2 locations. Must have the Espresso Coffee and the Custard Tart (pastel de nata)

Very cold inside. No curtains or anything to block cold air. Very slow at service. Many can't explain the food well enough in English. Confusing. Most items are not priced so one has to constantly ask. Have to line up to pay by door with clients who are buying bakery items, so slow. The door is constantly letting in fridge air ( or very hot from asphalt in summer). Weak lattes.
This place is freaking awesome. The reason I come here and will continue to travel across the city for it is their bread. Their delicious soft on the inside, crunchy on the outside Portuguese bread. I love it. My kids love it. It's perfect for sandwiches...and you can make tostadas or croutons with them the day(s) after. Very clean and the staff is polite and friendly.
Been going to this bakery for lunch for a long time , I stopped for a while but I went there last week and it was amazing. The grilled ham and cheese sandwich is so bomb !!! , the employees are nice, they make sure your order is ready on time, they ask if you need anything else and greet you when you leave. I recommend this place to anyone who loves sandwiches.
Really good pastries the bread is always fresh and behind the counter not self serve like other bakeries where everyone touches the bread and leaves it for the next customer top from my experience

This is a 5 star bakery hands down. The pastries are so goood and taste so fresh. The coffee is TOP NOTCH! Definitely taste better than Starbucks, and Starbucks is pretty good. If you’re looking for fresh bake goods for a fair price I say check this place out. I’m a very picky eater and love my baked goods, trust me when I say this place is AMAZING!
Waited 27 minutes for a toast on a Sunday morning. Asked multiple times for an update and servers were not too nice. Had my baby with me and was very disappointed in how we were served. Food was good though, and the place was full which means others must’ve had a better experience than we did. Hopefully I just caught the servers on a bad day.
We just moved into the area and the first order of business was to find a good bakery. After a quick search Golden Wheat was clearly recommended. It DID NOT disappoint. We love this place. Great products, good prices and friendly staff. Highly recommend this place. We sre so happy its close to home Come here... you will not be disappointed
Pastries are fantastic. The bread is good but the service is the worst one ever I've had in Toronto. I am from Oakville Burlington and it's the worst service ever. They rush you through everything. They charge you more and you don't get anything you want when you leave just got me so upset that I left very bad bad service
Racist staff. If you are not Portuguese you will likely not be served at all. I contacted the owner to try to make a resolution after I was completely ignored by three staff members while waiting to order at the register, but was only given a shallow blanket apology. It is time to rack down on racism.
The bakery is a good place but the girls are too rude and unprofessional i ordered cake she said the price and i told her it's ok I don't care about the price but she still told me the price, she annoyed me after that she said something in Portuguese to her friend and this unrespectable.
Delicious cheesecake! You pay by weight and a whole thing was around $35. Not too sweet or dense. Their donuts are great. It’s difficult to hear when ordering, especially when you don’t speak Portuguese. You have to do a lot of pointing but it’s worth it.
Have been going to Golden Wheat Bakery for a while during this pandemic and the service has not changed still fresh, quick, friendly, accurate, polite and maintaining a healthy environment while keeping its clientele safe and it's cleaningness suberb.
Great portuguese pasteries & bread but if you ask them to slice your "broa" (corn bread) they won't do that. All others I've been to will. They actually get rude & snarky if you ask why. So, I go to Seara instead. Just as good without the attitude.
My first and last visit. Poor customer service, seemed annoyed when asked to repeat an item. The girl had a heavy accent and I asked her to repeat which seemed to annoy her to an extent she slammed the cash register . Won't be visiting here again!
One of my favourite bakeries in Toronto. I have been there many times, even if I come all the way from Greek Village (which has its own very good bakeries). Delicious sweets at incredible prices. Staff has been always quite nice and helpful.
Everything here has been so far amazing from their sweet treats to their sandwiches buns. The buns are amazingly soft. I must say this is one of the best European bakeries in town. I visit at least once a week for their baked goods & buns.
I decided to try their speciality, a custard tart. And boy was it delicious! Not overly sweet, the tart had one of the flakiest crusts I have had on a custard tart and the custard it self was so smooth.Love it.
Delicious bread and sweets! Pleasant and helpful staff, even with a line up I felt like I was the only customer there. The staff took the time to answer my questions about the items I was interested in.
I love this place Been coming here for years The coffee is Spectacular The pastries are Delicious & the girls that work here are Gorgeous Always Pleasant with Wonderful Smiles Great Friendly Atmosphere⚘
One of the staff was very rude with me and really humiliated me. I do think this was racism. talking to other people, it seems like I'm not the only one who experienced this. I am done with this place.
Great place for tosta mista, pastries, latte and a variety of bread. Friendly stuff and great service. Always busy as it is the best in the area... Another location is on College St. and Grace St. ;)
I was curious about this place because I was a regular at their College Street location for years. It's too noisy for me, and doesn't have the same selection of baked goods or the level of service.
Come here frequently, deal with sullen waitresses, lousy service. Coffee and pastries are o.k,, they charged me almost 10 dollars ,for a large sandwich. At those prices I don't need their attitude.
the place normally is pretty good but today. I got a tosta mista and it was not toasted at all, it was actually microwaved apparently due to high volume of customers, which should.be a no no.
What a nightmare. Got this cake for my birthday. 99% cream and 1% cookie. It's a COOKIE CAKE called bolo de bolacha. Straight to the garbage so unfortunate. Would not recommend to anyone.
Great bakery very clean and Amazing pastries fresh bread and Great good customer service. Always stop in for bread and a good delicious pastry on the way with a good cup of coffee. …
Should have the right hours on-line. If you physically open at 6 am , you should not mislead people on-line and say open at 4:30 am. Especially when not everyone lives in your area.
I stopped in here at the recommendation of a neighbouring mechanic. Yum! The pastries were delicious, the coffee was decent, the service was friendly and the prices were reasonable.
Love this Portuguese bakery Bread always fresh and the ladies that work there are very nice and hard workers Hopefully they get a bonus for Christmas ☕
Customized cakes were fairly priced. They went above and beyond w/my order. The cakes are freshly made. I love this bakery and were so lucky its just around the neighborhood.
Service is so bad and the girls are rude and they don’t even have respect while they are coming to listening the order but the manager is looking nice I usually going there
Excellent bakery with a lot of variety of bread, desserts, you can go and have your coffee along with a delicious bread or whatever you prefer, the attention is very good.
My favorite Portuguese bakery in Toronto. The bread, deserts and everything else in between very good quality and tasty. To bad is small in there and not anough parking.
Always good service but some of the special cakes or pastries are not fresh and taste like they have been sitting on the shelf for days. I was very disappointed
Parking situation is a disaster zone. Everyone seems really inconsiderate and self-absorbed in the parking lot. Buns are really flat and empty. Good in a pinch.
One of my favourite dessert places..all Covid 19 protocol in place, customers limitation in store with a shelves full of fresh baked goodies and friendly staff.
Best staff ever, clean, confortable, to make it short, you should go if you want to feel that someone is trying their best to take care of you. Thank you …
The cafe was clean and comfortable. The women who work there are nice and the Portuguese style baked goods and desserts are always fresh. I'll be returning.
Nice cozy little bakery. Delicious pastries, bread and sandwiches. Very friendly staff. Good selection of drinks from coffees to juice to pop. Great place!
Traditional delicious delicacies from recepies originally from Portugal. Several types of bread. If you looking for Portuguese pastries, This is the place.
It's the average portuguese bakery, offering coffee, sweets and a varity of portuguese sandwiches, and the staff are nice and fast to prepare your order
This is an incredibly warm and cozy place, having been there once you will be drawn here by a magnet. Thank you very much for such a warm welcome)))
I love their walnut muffins and every time that I pass by I get at least a couple with a cup of coffee, this Portuguese bakery is a must to visit!
Best pastries and super speedy service. It was like the drive thru of bakeries. Cake bread and pastries Oh and a latte in 4 min. I was impressed
There is no price on anything and they don't have any name on the products. The staff are nice. Way overpriced compared to many bake shops.
No Buns at 5:30pm how can you have no buns and call yourself a bakery. This bakery seems to run out of items earlier and earlier everyday.
Cute girls work here should be willing to hire other help im a guy and want to work here but don't feel free to apply for the job position
I am from Montreal and grew up on Eurpean bakeries. This bakery is amongst the best in any city. The quality and variety is exceptional.
You can expect fast, efficient, and friendly costumer service. Pastries are delicious and staff is always smiling... even in busy times!
Great place. Staff members are amazing people. Coffee was also really good. Their selection of freshly made breads were great as well.
Best bakery ever in all toronto area! As an old baker the bread is delicious, really nice cakes and a good service most of the times..
The service was nicely paced. The food was good enough. The range of breads you can buy is huge. Also, the staff is very friendly.
What a great selection of pastries and other baked goods. The egg custard is creamy, the pastry is flaky and the price is right.
It was a great experience. Good customer service. Clean environment. Amazing cheese cake and sandwich. Really enjoyed my visit.
It's small but always on point and staff are helpful. Them buns always fresh and ordered a bunch of chocolate croissants today.
A crowded place for morning brunches! Chocolate exclairs a must try! Oh and u cannot miss the strawberry cheese cake …
A lively bakery with great service and great food. I love coming here Saturdays and having a Tosta Mista and an Americano!

Best tarts in the city. The breakfast omelette sandwich was surprisingly good, I guess because the bun was amazing.
Fresh and delicious cakes. Good coffee and sandwiches. Customer service is Ok. Just waiting is a little much time.
Nice Portuguese bakery they have all kinds of bread, cakes and "pastel de natas" . Friendly staff and environment.
It's the best with a wide selection and awesome service prices are very reasonable and they remember who you are
extremely confusing layout for ordering/waiting for items.. also very noisy. The sugared donut was good though.
Very nice staff, some of the food is great other no so much. Coffee could be better. Great for grilled cheese
Best Portuguese bakery, freshest buns & pastries. Come here almost every week, staff is super friendly !
Not a good experience! I tried one of the red velvet cake slice which was very dry and not fresh at all.
the staff is very friendly. the bread and pastries are always fresh, and they have really great prices!
Staff were friendly and very helpful. Our group of friends had a pleasant time. Thank you …
Clean, efficient and very polite! Great value , tasty pastries and food. Always a pleasure to visit.
Tosta Mista and an espresso! Great coffee, delicious treats/food. Service was excellent too …
Everything here is top notch, but try the ham and cheese cubano style sandwich, you'll be in love.
The best portuguese pastries in the city!!! Fresh, not swimming in sugar, and wonderful flavours.
Best portuguese bakery around the Rogers and keele area. Authentic Portuguese deserts and bread.
Best coffee shop and bakery ever. And the prices and service are amazing. A Rogers Road gem ✨
Fresh bread and treats. A lot of white bread, would be good to have some different varieties.
Amazing place. Friendly staff and i just love the coffee and sandwiches. Highly recommended.
DON'T order decaf coffe! They will give you Maxwell House INSTANT! Terrible! Not Impressed.
Wonderful patio for a coffee, tosta mista and the best custard tarts. Will be back soon.
Crew was a bit rude when and not friendly when you does not go there every day or often.
Delicious Portuguese baked goods with some pretty tasty malasadas! - Mimi's Cake Tour
Classic Portuguese style bakery. Great food, parking very limited during rush hour.
The employees are nice. The food took a little long and they got my order wrong.
