The plaza includes the statue of General Sherman by Augustus Saint-Gaudens and a large fountain. Plenty of seating. Good place to rest. It is adjacent to the Astoria Waldorf Hotel and Central Park. There were several hawkers trying to sell overpriced tour packages to tourists. Beware of them.
The environment is cozy...nice place to relax and enjoy the different activities surrounding the place. The plaza is closer to variety of shops. It's welcoming to massive amount of people on a daily basis. It's an interesting place to be at all times. …
A must must see. General Sherman. This statue is gold leaf. Insane! Must see. This thing is insane. It’s dipped in gold leaf. I came across this statue by accident. I would have never expected a huge statue of General Sherman on a gold leaf
Very pleasant area. One feels safe in the area. It's cleaner than other areas of new york. And of course it has one of the most iconic hotels in the country within a stone's throw of the park. To continue into Central Park from there is
Where 5th Ave side of Central Park ends. It's a decent place to grab a seat. However, promotors of tourist packages are lurking around and will try to sell you an experience. Just follow me on MAPS and I'll show you the way!!! …
Beautiful and exciting space where you can sit back, relax and enjoy the highlights of the city close to Central Park. Always something exciting to see and experience. Whether day or night you'll enjoy being there.
On the south end of Central Park at 5th Ave and 60th. Beautiful open space with gorgeous statute of General Sherman atop his steed. Not to be missed to view up close. Breathtaking detail.
Probably a little overlooked by most people as the hurriedly pass through on their way to the zoo or the park, but it’s worth stopping to take a look at the gold monument.
Could improve the area. There's a fountain that's not that clean. There are benches but no other decorations. It could use more funds to make the place more appealing.
The Grand Army Plaza can be found on the south east corner of Central Park. The Plaza is divided by Central Park South and it is one of the Gateways to the park.
Good place for resting..it's located on fifth Avenue close to Apple Store and Trump Tower plus the favorite Plaza Hotel where they filmed Home alone
The Grand Army Plaza is a public square located at W. 59nd Street and 5th Avenue at the southeast corner of Central Park.
Symbolic piece of American history. There’s a lot more to the statue of General Sherman than what meets the eye.
Beautiful little park to rest after visiting central park or a nice place to plan your visit to it.
Lots of tourists, sunshine and green. Very pleasant.
Beautiful place to walk aroundm
