"Grand Central Madison is the new extension of Grand Central for LIRR trains"
"Arrived here on the first week of opening for full-time LIRR service"
"Love this"
"I usually depart and arrive from Penn Station"
"Grand Central is a beautiful landmark and instrumental part of New York City"
Grand Central Madison is the new extension of Grand Central for LIRR trains. This was one of the most expensive transit projects in the world and took over a decade to complete. But the new terminal is beautiful. It is very deep underground and the escalator is extremely steep. The terminal is also very clean.
Arrived here on the first week of opening for full-time LIRR service. Place looks very modern and up to standards for a first rate transit hub for New York. Directions are easy to follow and are made clear. Restrooms are luxurious. They did a good job of creating this new transit hub for commuters.
Love this. This is another one of Andrew Cuomos accomplishments (except the scandals) and needs to be done to every train station across the country. Right now all of our infrastructure is second class compared to all the other major countries.
I usually depart and arrive from Penn Station. Today I made an exception for the first time to get off at Grand Central just to see for myself. Station is very nice, clean, looks very upscale, but the last time I will get on the Long Island
Grand Central is a beautiful landmark and instrumental part of New York City. I am grateful for being able to commute from Fairfield County Connecticut to my place of work in NYC. I have a great found appreciation for the train station as
The new Grand Central station is a great addition. Allows people to get to the east side more easily from Long Island. I had to take off a star though for two reasons: it's way too isolated from the rest of Grand Central and too deep into
Really cool terminal. The signs showing you how to get to the Long Island Railroad section from the main Grand Central Concourse is very confusing but once you understand it it's not that bad. It is kind of daunting that you have to go 15
If I could give this place zero stars. I would. You'll read other comments about the architecture. How this place is beautiful. How all tourists should visit it. How clean it is. Bla bla bla. But if you're like me. Born and raised in nyc.
I don’t need to explain it further, this deserves an automatic 5 stars. Even though it’s close proximity to Penn Station, this terminal was heavily needed and honestly gets it’s fair share of revenue service. This terminal is simplistic,
We had to wait 20 years but the New LIRR Station at GCT is pretty amazing!!! For now there is only one train that connects GCT to Jamaica, I believe every four or so, I rode it to go to Forest Hills - takes about 14/16 minutes with a
Grant Central is an icon of New York from years past. A wonderful and huge Hall, built with great splendor. Windows and lights add magic to this place. A place where many films were shot, including gangster ones ;)
Must see tourist destination. Impressive architecture and high ceilings create a grandiose atmosphere that is typical of New York. Photo opportunities at every corner. LIRR terminal is brand new and pristine.
It was alot of walking... I was not going to take that escalator... way too steep and long... 10 years ago the estimated expenses for the LIRR section was 14 billion.... not 7 billion that I see being quoted.
Beautiful. Despite being one of the largest train station in the nation, grand central also was architectural and aesthetically pleasing. It looks like pantheon combined with modern elements.
The new Grand Central Madison is the best looking rail station ever and its time that Long Island travelers will go anywhere to Metro North to upstate New York and to east side.
Great place to visit alongside being able to get trains to different locations. The staff do need a little charm training but that’s expected from a tired busy workforce.
Long hallways, a long walk to street side, modern bland aesthetic, horrible scheduling. Lots to be desired for a decade and billions in the making
Very beautiful subway station! A big place that has everything Toilets, drinking fountain, food vendors and connects with lots major building.
Very nice station, this was very needed, only problem is that there isn't as many trains so catching another in Jamica is going to happen..
18th reviewer of this new and modern train station! Can't wait to come back in many years to see the number of reviews be in the hundreds.
Clean, neat, and orderly! A barrista kindly gave me a garbage bag when the paper sack I was carrying disintegrated. Great experience!
Great station, glad its finally open. The station is spacious, clean and quiet. It will be nice when full service is provided.
It's a nice station which makes it easier for transit the east side of Manhattan to the the rest of Long Island.
Best station in the city! Everything about this facility is great, the bathrooms are clean and the station
It is a nice very modern station. There is limited service, but the service has improved since I visited.
The design and architecture are amazing, gels well with the old Grand Central Terminal.
Amazing station, go to lower level floor for restrooms. Two sets and the eating section
Incredible escalators from train level to main station. A must see when in Manhattan.
Clean and new! Just started to have good train service. and Very convieniant
It’s one of the biggest train stations in the United States! ❤️ …
Spotless, elegant and bright Can’t ask more from a mass train station
Gorgeous station, the toilets are extremely dirty though.
Haven't been there in years. It has changed drastically.
USB outlets 3 feet off floor next to LIRR escalators
Nice and clean. Spacious.
