So its 10:30 I've just finished work I'm hungry had a look whats around, Grandalfs? Burgers and taco's? Yeah sounds good, I call them and from the get go I'm hooked by a man with passion for his food and for the customer and like that I'm on the way to get my food, upon arriving I see the placed is decked out in simplicity and style a very comfortable place to eat in. I am served, a well informed and passionate discussion on the food that is served there and takes place that veers into a talk on hot sauces and how everything is made by hand, I have ordered the hottest burger on the menu a Mexican with a heat level of call an ambulance, I am reassured that it will blow my socks off and be tasty at the same time. I regretfully don't open the box in front of them wanting to savour selfishly the surprise and aromas for myself and as you can see it looks great, it smells great, but what's most important here, it's spicy, it's hot, aaaand it tastes so $+_-ing good. What you have here are people dedicated to their craft and to their people they also just happen to make really really good food, I cannot emphasize more get yourself an experience you cannot miss. So it’s 12pm on a Saturday and I’m at the local Woolies, deep into the weekly grocery shop that I don’t usually do, desperately trying to prove to my wife that I can spend less than she does. Suddenly, an angel appears from nowhere in the pasta aisle and asks me if I like burgers. I say yes immediately but realise that my body has already given up the answer well before I opened my mouth. The angel introduces himself as Kiall. Kiall proceeds to tell me about Grandalf’s opening up around the corner with more passion than Pauline Hanson talking about immigration. If I didn’t like burgers, I would have left the conversation convinced that all the burgers I’d tried before were in fact not really burgers and I should give them another crack. So dinner time rolled around and I twisted my wife’s rubber arm to try out Grandalf’s for dinner. We were not disappointed. Turns out all of the burgers I’ve tried before now are in fact not really burgers. These guys do burgers and they do them right. Big ups Grandalfs! Ridiculously good food and equally good service. Wish you nothing but success for the future. You will be seeing me again!

I don’t tend to try a new place for dinner as I don’t want to be disappointed or unsatisfied but the wife was very interested in giving these guys a go. And let me tell you it was worth the risk! It’s got a very small and simple menu with the perfect amount of choices to make, so there’s no chance of being overloaded for choice. I tried the double beef and bacon smash and a birra beef short rib taco. When I took that first bite out of the burger, it was the best. The stack order of ingredients was perfect and it reminded me one my fave joints up in QLD. And the taco was messy but in the best way. You have to get messy to enjoy the flavours that it gives. Kiall who severed us was wonderful and we were happy to chat about how we came across the place. Turns out he’s helping his mate the boss man that’s in the kitchen making the food. Gotta love places that ooze the good vibes you want to be in. Before I left I had to let them know how good it was and told the boss in the kitchen how I felt. I gotta say you have to give these guys a crack. And I for one will be coming back for hopefully many moons more.

Took the kidlets to try out the new kid on the block, boy was I impressed from the friendly staff and welcoming environment, the freshness and portion sizes of the food it was all round a great experience. I had the double beef and bacon add fried chicken with a side of grandalfs signature sauce, where do I start the beef was juicy and had a great char flavor, the cheese was melty and the perfect amount oh and the fried chicken was soo crispy and moist was just a great combination and the grandalfs signature sauce was one of the best sauces I’ve ever had I ended up adding some to the chicken on my burger , kiddies had a double cheeseburger, fried chicken burger and some nuggets and they were very accommodating to their changes. Omg was such a good feed highly recommend trying out this joint you will not be disappointed sorry no photos was to eager to get stuck in

Before you think “Just another burger place”, think again. Walked in and was treated by the best service I’ve had at a takeaway place for some time. Got the secret menu, limited edition Triple Beef/bacon/cheese smashed burger - one off for the 1000 follower celebration. The burgers were the best I’ve had for a long time. The mix of multiple meats, ground and hand seasoned makes them stand out from the rest. Wife got the OG chicken and also got the ✅ from her. Also smashed the beef tacos and loaded fries. No complaints from me.

Finally a decent smash burger down south. Had the Double Beef and Bacon Smash, it was truly fantastic. The wife had the Birra Beef Short Rib Tacos and enjoyed it right down to the last bite. Good value compared to the majority of burger joints. The menu has a comprehensive selection to suit many palates and also caters for vegetarians and vegans. Can't fault the service, ended up spending 15 minutes after the meal chatting with Jaidan and Kiall and they are great fellas. Wish you all the best with the business, we'll be back. Edit: Have been back on two other occasions now and the quality and service is still unparalleled. Have been enjoying exploring the rest of the menu and have also brought family to try it. So far all smiles. Keep up the amazing work guys.

Great value for money, fantastic food and very pleasant atmosphere. (Love the artwork ) I tried the double beef and bacon smash burger and it was exactly what I needed. Perfect amount of cheese, delicious smashed beef and the bacon was cooked crispy yet meaty. 10/10 would return. My only complaint is that they are so good and so close to work but aren’t open for lunch. I need my lunchtime burger fix Sick of grabbin those hideous $3 moes dogs for OTR. Anyways, I’m getting side tracked here Get on Grandalf’s Burgers and Tacos ASAP. You will not regret.

Amazing, friendly and interactive service. I ordered a few menu items (read: I ate too much) - each item was absolutely on point. There are few menu items in total, but this is fine by me, as i believe there is still sufficient variety. The focus seems to be on quality of options. The prices are all lower than what I would expect for the food quality. I wish this place was local to me and not 1.5hrs away. I will make a point of returning, if I am in the neighbourhood.

After reading about this place on social media, we decided to make the trip from Henley Beach (45min). I had the burger special of the week (Khao Man) and my partner had Beef Tacos that both came with s drink and fries which was around $40. The most tender fried chicken i have ever had with a perfectly spiced crumb to compliment the condiments. Tacos were on point from what my partner said. They must have been amazing as there was not sharing Had a brief chat with the guys behind the counter and was impressed with their passion for food and customer service.

Everything I ordered was great. The staff were patient and friendly. The prices actually felt fair for once. The drawback was the limited options to order. I would love for these guys to succeed so well that they expand to a bigger venue and a much bigger and comprehensive menu.

The food was really yummy. Has seating arrangements and parking. I went at night and was so busy, mainly for takeaway. Definitely a sign that how much people love this. Due to this we had to wait for a bit but received excellent customer service. Will be there again to try other options.

Jaiden and the team at Grandalfs are amazing. Easily sitting in the elite of a very strong group of Adelaide burger joints. The customer service was wicked. Husband picked up our take away and we were blown away with how awesome it was. So awesome I had to call and tell them it was amazing! My picky 4yr old loved the chicken nugget and chips and we loved our burgers. If you ever expand your menu and add sliders for kids that would be cool. Great job guys! Wow, now that was one juicy tasty taco. I ordered the Birra Beef Short Rib Taco and was so glad I did. A squeeze of lime just made it all come together. Super friendly staff. I will definitely come back again.
