I've been to this location three times and I always leave disappointed. First time the server overcharged me for a drink but I caught the error and they rectified it. Second occasion, the place is full and we requested to be seated at a free table at the corner to which they refused saying it's *always* reserved for the owner/manager . Now I don't own a café but I do know a thing or two about customer service. If you have clients that are willing to spend money at your establishment, why would you turn them away rather than simply offer them the reserved table if you know for sure the manager/owner won't be using it at that time? Third visit, I managed to get a chair by the island so I could charge my phone and requested another chair so my daughter could also sit next to me. They brought over the menus but never brought the chair. My daughter (9 years old) had to sit on my lap as we waited. I told them I would order once we got the chair. As I finished fidgeting with my phone, I look up and the menus were gone! They had taken the menu away rather than serve us & provide us with a chair. I don't usually write negative reviews but I feel if it's absolutely crucial that management have a reserved table for them at all times , then it must be important for them to know what happens on their restaurant floor and how absolutely rude and incompetent your staff can be. I will not be returning.

Last night I visited this place, with my friend and her kids, we got there at around 22:15 hrs. We finally agreed on what we wanted to order at around 22:30. Food was served and at around 22:53 were warned the place is about to close. At 22:58 we were reminded that we can probably pack our food as the place was about to close. This became so irritating because I have never been at a restaurant where you are being forced out because they are closing. Most places would do soft closed down and give you time to finish your food. When we pushed back, an employee named Betty had the audacity to tell us she stays very far so she has to close at 23:00 hrs. Despite our best efforts she continued showing disrespect towards us as clients. She eventually left the premises leaving her colleagues to close after she had left. What shocked us was whatever management is aware of these actions. Let alone endorse such treatment to customers. I highly doubt this is the first time they have done this to clients. This is my 4 visit to this place but this was terrifying an experience for any customer. Is this really the first time Betty has done this to clients? I do personally intended to follow up with management on our treatment from last night.

The Grano Coffee is a very pretty place with nice amenities thats why I am granting it two stars. However, the service is subpar and downright unprofessional. There is observed discriminatory practices when it comes to service. Also the wifi is very slow and it runs out faster than you can imagine. They give you coupons after purchase, which is fair enough but the system is unfair if the internet is slow. I barely finished reading a few pages before it ended twice. They didn’t have the hazelnut cream mocha which is why I went there in the first place, instead they only had lattes and Cuppucino which tasted basic added to the poor service. Had to go pay at cashier because the waitresses could be bothered to check on me after they gave me my coffee. Despite calling on them. Overall the place is pretty and has a-lot potential if the management takes constructive criticism and fixes their staff’s attitudes. This is especially because the cafe market in Dar is very competitive and there is better coffee and service in other places. I dont think I will be back again.

This is literally my favorite place in Mlimani Mall. The customer service is outstanding and consistent. I've ordered everything from coffee to breakfast, lunch, and dinner and everytime the food was great with little wait time. The management is also outstanding and goes above and beyond for every customer. They also provide free WiFi while dining. A must visit for those in Dar. Have been here a few times, always leaving the place unsatisfied. - ordering a cake, receiving an expired one. When I complain, the staff told me they will give me a reduction of 10%. Because I refuse to pay for an expired cake. I ask for the manager. I get the answer the manager is not there. He IS there, but takes no responsibility. Leaves his staff in the trouble. - ordering a burger. Mentioned on the card : 150gr meat. Receiving the plate, I notice immediately this is not 150gr meat. Its around 75gr. The salad, its expired. - While still eating, the waitress comes ask me if I need more. I say no thank you. She asks me if she can bring the bill Avoid this place. If Tanzania would have a food inspection team, this.place didnt even exist.

The staff were very rude to me and my children just because we were still having dinner and it was approaching their closing time.we came in one hour before closing and the meals were a bit late since we were a group of seven including kids.The cashier in particularly was the one who was up-front rude to an extent my seven year daughter asked me, mum how can she say this to customers?This was after she told us to carry our food and eat outside and that she has to leave coz she leaves far.Min you it was 10:55p.m. Was quite a shock and disappointing.I have been there several other times and the experience was good but this one time experience was enough to never going back there.

I ordered a pizza. Upon the delivery I asked for the garlic paste. After a while the waitress didn't come back, I called her again and asked for the garlic paste. She answered that the chef said there is no garlic in the kitchen. I asked her to call the manager. Even though she (manager) was there she refused to come. I called up the waitress again so that I can talk to the manager. She said I am bringing the garlic paste, which she came after I finished my pizza. I am wondering why did they refuse to give the garlic even though they had it, also the manager, i find her very unprofessional.

I liked the chocolate milk shake they gave me..Also the croissants was really test..The place was over full we almost miss the place to sit.We decided to do the take out..so its good for dine in and take out also..The area is very decorated

Very poor service, waitresses are not bothered about bringing your bill once you done with eating. Also they never open on time, they say opening time is 8am but they never open till 8:20 or even 8:30. Thats very inconvenient for those who wish to catch up with other engagements. Reason given is always: We cleaning after fumigating last night. Got this excuse 2 days in a row finally called it quits. Good place but looks like management is poor.

Place keeps upgrading their menu which is great thing. Food is delicious here Pasta Alfredo, their American breakfast and lemonade Miam miam never go wrong. Customer care though if you are lucky to get a charming one whose not on a bad mood then its a 10/10..

I was here almost every second day during my stay in Dar-es-Salaam. I tried so many different coffee variations, cakes and main dishes and I can't tell which one I liked best. I highly recommend the Hazelnut Cappuccino and the chocolate cake. As a European, I wouldn't take the pasta again. Sometimes, the WiFi was not working or they were out of some meals, but I still enjoyed it every time.

Service from the waitresses is painfully slow at times...they will smile at you as you enter only for you to wait for quite sometime just so that you can get the menus.. Also, if you have plans of using their wi-fi, beware that they sometimes run out or give 30minutes vouchers. If you're lucky however, you get 2 hours worth of wi-fi

Great free WiFi, very rare in Tanzania. The cappuccino is fantastic, comes with free peanut flavoured biscuits which taste like peanut butter in biscuit form amazing brownies and ice cream! Good place to chill and work on your laptop, basically the closest thing to Costa in Tanzania (even the logo). Poor serving speed, does not allow you to correct your order.

This coffee house has some very nice waitresses and good food. I was also happy to find that the offered wifi and recharging stations for wireless devices as well as desks for remote workers. With both indoor and outdoor seating options, this seems to be a perfect place to visit when you want a change of scenery from the home office.

A nice place, they have a special place for those who want to work with their laptops.

The coffee shop has an outside sitting where you can appreciate the view of the city at an angle and at night you can have a coffee while enjoying the breeze and the view of people walking past full of laughter. Worst cafe ever. Am here for the first time but to be honest I haven't liked it. A brownie and a bottle of Sprite took 45 minutes to reach my table. They have free wifi but dont rely on it because it is so slow and sometimes disconnects. Some waiters are not customer friendly. Also the menu doesn't have it all.

This is a fantastic place to work or relax. Coffee & specialty drinks are wonderful, especially coconut frozen lemonade. They have wifi - it's busy! Its open late with indoor & outdoor seating. Food is good too. Take a bijaj to or from the ferry terminal for 15,000 tsh. it's about 25 minutes from there.

Have had a nice experience visiting this place for the first time and I was welcomed by excellent and nice staff who showed us a place and with reasonable good pricing plus the satisfaction was all we could ask for. They have a variety of menu which is excellent and well prepared. Worth a visit

Slow service. Wifi wasn't working. 30% discount on Uber ride was advertised on my table but when I tried to redeem it, it was not accepted. I asked my waitress about this and she informed me the promo is finished. Still, she did not remove the ad from my table. The cappuccino was okay.

I will sit in traffic for an hour just to get their cafe mocha drink. This is coming from a Starbucks-addict from USA. I don’t even like mocha but Grano’s is like off thee chain. It also has a very nice, modern, relaxing atmosphere, making it comfortable to bring your laptop and work.

Its a nice place for outing with your friends and short business meeting.

I had the best...BEST veggie wrap there a week ago. I'm vegetarian and a lot of the options I get from the restaurants are 'light' but sometimes I need something with a bit more substance to get me through the day. I now have a 'wrap place'.

Beautiful place I like coming here for lunch and coffee, but sometimes service delays, like I went on 23 February 2023 stayed for 50 minutes without being listened by the waitress.

Better place when finished shopping mall where could buy nothing, but the cafeteria could offer a good smell roasted coffee when entering.

Good food and service. They have a common high table for folks who like working from restaurants. A feature missing in many restaurants.

Dishes are very large. Be sure to not order too much. Very tasty and delicious. Try "hungry lion". It is for 2-3 person fully enough.
