So I decide to get Lucian a cookie cake for his birthday celebration at shool tomorrow (his birthday is over the summer so they do a little something for summer birthdays the last week of school). I call the Great American Cookies right across the street from the Aquarium. I tell them I need their smallest cake for 10 Kindergarteners. She asked me the kids name and what colors I'd like on the cake. I tell her the name and to just do primary colors. She tells me it'll be ready by 1:30. I call at 1:15 and she tells me it just went in the oven. I give them until 4:15. I pop across the street real fast to pick it up. I'm greeted with a sign saying be back in 15 minutes . After waiting over 20 minutes, TWO girls show up. Both of you had to go to lunch at the same time and shut down your business Anyways, I get inside, get my cake and it literally just said "Happy Birthday "name" in brown and orange only. The most boring cake ever. No decorations, no nothing. Why did she ask me what colors if I was only going to get orange-not even a primary color BTW. I say, that's it for $30? Yeah, $30!!!! She goes, "oh do you want me to decorate it more? We have all these options" and she shows me a book of decorations. Ummm, it's almost 5:00 now. I told you this was for a kids birthday when I called at 11 am. No, sorry, gotta go. They couldn't even cross the T in orange!!! I am not thrilled. Not at all. I work at the Aquarium and we mostly get good service from them and I even mentioned where I work but they put in the minimal amount of effort for a $30 cake. Disappointing experience to say the least.

Came here at 8:45 PM 11/14 to simply buy a couple of cookies and be on our way back to our hotel. As soon as we come in the employee told us that they were closed and that he just got done counting all the cash. Keep in mind the doors were open, the open sign was on, the lights were on, and this location is supposed to close at 9 PM. He didn't want to be bothered doing his job. I pulled my phone out to double check the time and sure enough it was 8:45. I told the employee what time it was because apparently he didn't know, I said poor service, and we left disappointed. (1 Star) Edit: 11/16 After reaching out to corporate's Twitter and writing my original 1 star review, I was contacted by the owner of this franchised location within 48 hours. The owner wrote a custom email (not generic like a lot of places do) that was professional, courteous, and took responsibility for his employee's poor service. After reading the owner's email about how he wanted to make it right, we decided to visit a second time. The two employees that were there were friendly and it was a completely different experience. We left happy, the owner kept his word and made it right. We ended up getting a great deal as we bought 5 cookies and got 2 for free. The total was about $9.50 after tax, a great deal for 7 delicious cookies! We left happy and if we are ever in the area again we will be back to this location. (4 Stars)

Best part is the male employee's customer service. There is one guy that's always there and is super friendly and patient (usually come in with multiple kids). Bad part is they've often been out of my fav which is the strawberry white chocolate chip cookie. And a lot of times they either only have the Coke Icee, or neither at all. They told my teenager to come in for an interview. We went all the way down only to be told by a woman today that they don't hire 17-yr olds. They should all be aware of the age requirements so that ppl don't waste their time and gas. Cookies are good though.

Ordered a cake for a celebration and had it delivered via Doordash. Unfortunately, Great American Cookie gave our celebration cake to the wrong dasher. That's wild that you wouldn't check the name on a gigantic cookie cake order before giving it to the dasher. I called the store and it rang for 5 minutes with no answer. Called again 15 minutes later and the same result. Doordash offered to remake the cake and it would take an hour, but unfortunately the work event would already be over by the time it arrived. They refunded. Roll the dice at your own risk

I am a lifelong fan of GAC. Cookie cake is life. I’ve had consistently good experiences at this particular franchise with the exception of one cookie cake I ordered being decorated wonkily. I let the general manager know the cake design wasn’t quite right and he went above and beyond to make it right. Great cookies (double doozies are the best) and great customer service!

You can't go wrong here. Tasty cookies, fast and friendly service within walking distance of my home and many tourist attractions. They also stay open after 7 on most days which is an added bonus in the downtown area where things can close fairly early. I say give it a try. I unfortunately eat all of my cookies before I make it home. Don't be me, save your cookies. :-)

Ordered. They cancelled via their online ordering platform. No explanation on the email they sent. No answer when calling the store. Customer service training required at this store. Driver stated that the store can't make cookies. Owner indicated for me to email customer service as noted below. Did that. No response from them. Must be a system-wide problem.

This is a good spot for cookies and cake. I went in here to get a quick bite of whatever I could and I got 2 cookies and a cake pie. I liked the oatmeal cookie better then the original chocolate. The cookies were decent, nothing extraordinary. The cake was decent as well. Would not go again, but that's only because I'm not a cookie kinda guy

We stopped in today for a pick me up after a rough day at Emory. The gentleman working was incredibly kind and accommodating and super interactive with our little girl. He looked like he really enjoyed the job and chatting with people. I didn't catch his name but wanted to leave a review as he was so helpful and had a great smile!

Worst experience I've ever had! I requested a cookie cake and was told it would be an hour before I could get it. The sign stated cookie cakes within 15 minutes so I asked the cashier why she told me an hour after the sign clearly says 15 minutes. She replies by saying "I don't know what the 15 minutes means."

I ordered via Uber eats and i want to commend this location on the perfect packaging of my order. Any other location i order the Chewy Pecan Supreme cookie they stack them on top of each other causing one big clump of cookie. This location packaged my 8 pc cookie order to PERFECTION!! Thank you so much!!

Spoke with a gentleman named Remix regarding if they can make a Pecan Supreme Cookie Cake for my boyfriend's birthday. Unfortunately they couldn't but was very nice and polite explaining the reasoning behind it. I would definitely be in for more delicious cookies and excellent customer service!

The inside of this location isn't the greatest, very outdated looking but the cookies are still great! The employee we spoke with was very polite and he made sure we had everything we needed. The prices are great and I really enjoyed my cookies. They tasted fresh which is all that mattered.

Just picked up a pirate ship cookie cake that employee Remix decorated and my grandson love it! I also love the fact that Remix's customer service was exceptional from start to finish. Also of note, this particular shop is out of my way but well worth the extra drive. Thanks Remix!

It's one of the best cookies we have tried. The crunchy pecan was our favorite. Amazing prices, service was great. We are sorry that we discovered them on our last day at ATL. But it definitely will be a mandatory stop when we return. Sorry, no photos there were gone in a minute.

Cookies were great, no prices were posted...was surprised to find out we paid almost $2 per cookie...a little outrageous. Customer service was lacking and what looked like a public restroom had a hand written "NO RESTROOMS" sign...take your cookies and enjoy elsewhere.

In town with the kids for coke world and the aquarium. Of course the 7 year old saw a sign with cookies and wanted cookies after dinner. You already know the cookies are great but remix/the cookie guy was even better. He made the detour worth it.

I bbn like to get the double stuff with white icing and chocolate icing the middle was told that they couldn't do that why not if I'm paying but the young bbn lady was very pleasant that is the reason for 4stars and the cookies were great

Went there at 8:15 when it's clearly marked that they close at 9 both online and on the door and the lady said they were closed. She eventually let me buy a few cookies cash only but customer service could have been so much better.

But the lady at the register assuming she was the manager and her daughter were not friendly. But the young man who waited on me was very kind. I believe the manager took the cookies home bc it was closing time she was inpatient.

I use Ubereats to order cookies from here all the time. This is the best Great American Cookies I’ve came across in the city!!! The cookies are ALWAYS fresh each and everytime. I love this location.

We were heading back to our hotel after visiting Centennial Olympic Park and detoured for some cookies. The cookies were amazing and Remix, the cookie guy, elevated the entire experience.

OMG we walked in the door and I knew we were in heaven. The cookies were soft and fresh all of them. His motto is if it's hard you can throw it at him and he won't duck.......

We were staying at a hotel nearby and came in twice. The cookies were great! The guy working was very pleasant both times. If we were in the area again I'd definitely go back.
