July 8th I went for hair cut & after haircut lady said payment machine not working & asked me to swipe card 3 times no receipt printed at that time .when I checked my transactions I figured out money deducted 3 times from my account . I went back to this place 4 times they said manager not working at this time come another time. Finally on my 5th visit manager was there & she said I am not able to refund you money but able to provide store credit .i agreed with store credit but yesterday when I went for my hair cut again the lady said she not able to apply store credit as manager not available so I have to make payment again by my card .this is the worst customer service I saw in this place .how many times I have to visit this place to fix the same issue & repeat my story again & again till this date they are not able to fix this.i love great clips before but after this I am done & never recommended great clips to anyone if this is the experience you are giving to your long term clients then .........

I checked in online and went to this location at 5:40 pm for my son's haircut and they were all busy at the cash counter, so I thought I'd take a seat and wait. After a few mins, one of them just turned around and said "We are closed!" and continued with what she was doing. I waited for a minute and then checked the timings on google, and then told her that they are closing at 6 and why can't they do it now, and also let them know I had checked in online. They had no record of my checkin and begrudgingly agreed, and then asked each other who would take on the job because everything is "packed away". The job was done but it was rushed and uneven. This is the worst experience I've ever had for a haircut, and I would say stay away from them! There is something called customer service and that is missing from this location. I had planned to have a haircut as well in the near future, but I am never going to them again! If I could give them 0 stars, I would.

The last time I went to Great Clips Harvest Pointe was back in October. I was so thoroughly annoyed with the stylist that entered my name in the computer, I knew it was going to be my last visit. After she entered my phone number into the system she said OK, and I got up to hang up my sweater. Then she said, "Oh I'm not finished yet, I'm still busy, unless you want sit on this guy's lap." It was so obnoxious and inappropriate, I was tempted to walk out but it was getting late and I wanted to get my haircut over with. For sure, I wasn't going to tip. Luckily, I got the other stylist. She had cut my hair before and I was happy with the cut, but I still did not tip. I found another salon to go to close by so I went there instead the next time. I had gone to Great Clips for eleven years before the pandemic. It was nice to go back but after that day, I knew I was done with them. This is my first review for a hair salon FYI.

Booked online for two hair cut before I left house. Reached there , I was not even checked in on your system.. no one was waiting so I guess it our turn to go next… but made us wait half hour because as soon I got checked in there was someone else got checked at the same time and were not in the salon. Made us wait half hr with special needs child that required hair cut. I was going to say something but body language of the hair dresser that checked me in kind of was rude because she was supposed to do the hair cut and maybe she didn’t want to. I think living in the same neighbourhood and this would be last time visiting this place. The hairdresser who actually did the haircut did good job with the kids. But customer service is horrible at best.

Worst experience. Me n my husband are regular customer but won’t go thr anymore. Paid $46 for ruining both of our hair. Felt like staff’s there not to do their job but make hours. I asked to trim my hair and as I cut layers but the hair dresser decided to dry cut my hair and she decided not to cut layer. She told me she prefer dry cut and not wet cut haha.. they made my husband almost bald with her hair dressing skill. Couldn’t blend the side hair with the top hair. Kept sobbing how tired they are and that they wanted to go home.... STAY AWAY!!

There timing shows that they are open till 6:00 PM on Saturday. I went there by 5:40 PM and the doors were already locked. I knocked on the door to confirm with one of the employee because the closing time shows till 6 PM, she told me really rudely that I'm closing up and I have work to do. Well, if the timing shows till 6 PM, I guess I can enter at least a fee minutes earlier and still get a haircut. This happened on the evening of November 12, 2022. Not happy with the service at least with the staff that was working in the evening.

I booked an appointment online at 6:00 PM for a hair cutting. at this Ellerslie location. I called them to confirm when I should come in, and I was told to come in at 7:15. When I arrived there at 7:10, I was told that the appointment had been cancelled. The staff in this store were extremely uncooperative and unwilling to work with us regarding this mistake. They used unprofessional language, implying that we had been lying to them. I would not recommend this location to anyone.

Vietnamese lady name Cham that works here deserves every nice word. She has been giving me hair cut like a 6 months now and every time I am more and more satisfied with the job she does. She has a long long experience and every move she makes with any hair cutting tool is on its place. She deserves 10 out of 10. I strongly reccomend her as your hair stylist because she is kind of lady that you show her style of the haircut you want she makes it happen. Satisfaction guaranteed ☺

Staff is too rude. They definitely need more training before starting practicals. She didn’t even ask me how i want my hair to be cut, doesn’t even know about skin fades or anything and she told me she has been cutting the hair from a long time and keep defending herself that she did a good job. But she completely ruined me hair style which now need few months to grow again. Terrible service. Won’t go there again at all

Great place to get a haircut. They always llisten to what u want. Plus the ladies there work togther as a team and get along with one another. Keep up the good work . And don't let the last comment turn u way from u going there. I have been going there for years and it been nothing but amazing haircuts and a great friendly amazing atmosphere. and still is after going there for the last 3 years.

Had a couple bad haircuts from this location. I've been a long time customer of great clips but the lack of training from this particular establishment is enough to lose my business. The most recent haircut I got here was so bad that when I went to another salon to fix it a week later they almost laughed me out of the chair. Wish I could post pictures to this - it was that bad.

Ill be honest, I have had one bad experience at great clips where my hair looked really choppy. So ill have to say 99% of the time that I go here my hair looks great! I just went in today for the first time after I got my hair done last and Stephanie did a great job! They were really focused on making sure my experience was much better this time around. Kudos to Great Clips :)

Worse haircut, cut way to much off, sides are uneven .Couldn't pay me to go there again. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.. If you think its worth even 10 bucks with the sale, you're still paying to much! Plus the response from owner is garbage, i called the number, was told the owner would get back to me. This has not happened either.

Butchered two of my kids' hair. Remember Leave It to Beaver, when Wally cut Beav's hair? That would have been an improvement. Don't send your teenagers down by themselves. Apparently the "hairdresser" kept asking questions and saying "I don't know how to do that." Also, $2 for a mask that the government is distributing to businesses for free?

The stylists are very nice. That's about the only good thing at this location. I had two different people redo my haircut and they failed both times. I don't know why it so hard to make sure the hair are the same length, I mean its a basic regular Joe haircut, nothing fancy. For the price they charge you are better off going somewhere else.

Honestly, you will get satisfaction guaranteed. It's almost a year since I am going to cut my hair here. I really liked the attitude and talent of the crew over there. They will make you fill you are known to them since always and also they are keeping an eye on giving quality work. I really appreciate and refer this place for hair cuts.

Terrible experience for my 10 year old. He was in tears watching his hair get butchered. Unfortunately I had to stand there and direct the "barber" on what to do to clean up my son's hair. Will never be going back to this location. And probably never to a Great Clips chain again. It's not even the Taco Bell of hair salons. It's worse.

Haircut great, coupon system not so. Had a 5$ off coupon from Facebook. Entered in code at front counter - no go. Told it was a 'franchise, and would not accept' ask which stores are 'non franchise' to use 'all are franchise in Edmonton'. Great clips get your act together and fix your marketing, so staff don't have to deal with this.

Staff are unprofessional and are terrible hair stylists. Last time I came in the stylists messed up, but I came in again, thought I’d give her a second chance. Once again, leaving disappointed and frustrated, as the staff are completely clueless when it comes to cutting hair. Would not recommend this location to my worst enemy

3 of my daughters got haircuts at this location, unfortunately the hairdresser butchered my daughters hair so I will be taking them else where to have an actual professional do their hair my daughter is so upset she has grade 11 photos next week. Also wish I caught the ladies name she's rude and racist. Avoid this location .

Great Staff , Did my haircut the way I wanted, 2 hours waiting Time is wasting half of the weekend day at the saloon is not acceptable, they have to follow the appointment system, rather than accepting all walk-ins and tell them a approximate wait time, which I waited more than 1 hour for there approximate wait time.

This is by far the worst haircut I've ever had. Left this location and immediately went to Tommy guns to get it fixed seriously the hair dresses where to busy fighting about 1 coming late she had to call another girl over to try and fix it still turned out AWFUL. Will absolutely be demanding a refund.

By far the worst place to go in to get hair cut.They definately not has a trained staff.She messed my hairs so bad ,she had to call another colleague to fix but it was too late.She couldn't help much I end up shaving my head.I will never recommend this particular location at 50 street near walmart.

I have used Great Clips for a couple years now, its nice for a quick in and out haircut so i like the convenience. The online check in is a great idea. Staff here are always friendly and talkative. Great atmosphere. Unlike most places where you feel out of place if you start talking haha.

Very welcoming staff, quick service, wait time was only couple minutes, the staff actually listens to clients, and works with them to ensure the desired haircut is achieved-at least with my experience here. A solid 5/5 in my book, far better than tommy guns and price is decently fair.

My brother SPECIFICALLY showed what type of haircut he wanted. However, the staff cut his hair TOO short and it was not even near what he wanted. Very dissatisfied with the experience, and although it is a low price, your expected haircut will not be good. Will NEVER repeat again.

Not very social hairdressers. They also don't have a receptionist so the hairdressers are constantly stopping to go and deal with other customers. Very expensive, not great service and slow. Won't be going back and wouldn't recommend. You can get better literally anywhere you go.

Not a place to get a fade. Staff are friendly for sure but quality of service is not quite there. Un even sides, not blending properly, not thorough with brushing off the hair at the end.. small details like that failed for me. Sloppy if you are the type that likes quality cuts.

Went for a haircut at the start of the day and had stylists available for walk ins, which is becoming rare these days. The base price for a haircut is a few dollars more than other places, but they did a good job, no complaints.

Went there today. Great service's, friendly staff and wait time was about 15 minutes. Also they have a promo going on, get it sent to your email and redeem it when your there.
