Even though the Greater Rhea is a flightless bird, it's still impressive to see! They grow to around 4 to 5 feet tall with long legs, grayish-brown plumage, and a distinctive head with a short, curved beak. They're known for strong running ability and live in grasslands and open areas, often forming groups called "herds." I enjoyed stopping by their exhibit here at the zoo.
