My (soon to be ;) fiance and I had the most amazing experience designing my engagement ring with Sophia. I'm so happy that we decided to go with this place. I was a little nervous about being able to get the ring I wanted here, because the ones that they showcase on their website and IG, while beautiful, weren't exactly what I had in mind for my ring. I wanted something very traditional and clean which showcases the center stone. They do custom work here so, when I told Sophia what I wanted, she was able to pull some samples that were the style I was looking for. She understood right away what I wanted, and I fell in love with one of the samples she showed us. We made some tweaks to the metal and accent stones, and were able to select the center stone that we wanted as well. I love that they do everything in house from design to creation; it makes me feel really safe knowing that my ring isn't getting shipped from somewhere else. Most importantly, we felt extremely comfortable working with Sophia and there was zero pressure at all. She mocked up our design, gave us details and let us know how to get in touch if we wanted to move forward. Although we had a couple of other places in mind to check out I knew immediately after leaving Green Lake Jewelry that this was the place I wanted to go with. My boyfriend paid the deposit the same day and the timelines that Sophia gave were spot on. Within 3 weeks we had a wax model to try on, and my final ring was ready 6 weeks after signing off on the wax model. Now all that is left to do is wait for the big day so I finally get to wear my beautiful ring. I can't wait and we will definitely be getting our wedding bands from here. I arrived at Green Lake Jewelry Works expecting to browse their merchandise, and leave with a few ideas for an engagement ring to present to my spouse. I was promptly greeted by Erich, who was extremely friendly and helped educate me about the option of having a ring custom made. He was very polite throughout the whole process. He actively listened to all the ideas that we had while sharing a few suggestions of his own, and together we sketched up a few designs for a finished product. I wasn't initially expecting to put a deposit down on a ring that day, but by the end of our conversations I truly felt that I could trust Erich...not to mention the fact that the quality of their work was impressive. We emailed back and forth for a few weeks as Erich shared with me the 3D CAD and wax models, which we made a couple adjustments to along the way to better fit my needs. Even after all the adjustments were made we stayed within budget, which was very close to the estimate Erich provided to me on the first day. In the end I could not have been more pleased with the outcome, and I'm certain my fiancé would agree considering how much she has been showing off her new ring to everyone! Thanks again, Erich :)

I reached out to Green Lake Jewelry (per a friend's recommendation) with just a hint of an idea for a custom designed engagement ring. The designer I worked with, Christine D, helped me bring it to life with creative suggestions, expert knowledge, and willingness to answer all my questions. I came in feeling like a novice, but we landed on a spectacular design and priced out the ring in no time. From there, Christine kept me updated on every stage of the process, which was so great for my peace of mind – especially because all of this was happening during a cross-country move (on that note, I should add that Green Lake Jewelry can handle the entire process remotely, and it's like you're right there in the studio). I had a feeling my girlfriend (now fiancée ) would be excited about the design, but nothing could have really prepared me for her reaction. She was absolutely blown away, and I have Christine, Dat, Thomas, and the rest of the team to thank for that. Highly recommend working with this team, whether you're in the Seattle area or not. Can't imagine a better experience.

I had the fortunate opportunity to work with Ben at the Bellevue office. I had very high standards for a responsible and ethically source ring, from the metal to the diamond, and design practices. Green Lake Jewelry Works went above and beyond what I expected and crafted a gorgeous ring with all of my requirements. If you are someone that wants to know the source of your stone and metal and the people that are designing and building your ring, this is the place. While I grew up in the Seattle area I now live in Hawaii and GLJW's was able to send photos of both CAD imagery and wax molds directly to my design page so I could share my input and review their processes. It was completely transparent - which is how it should be. I was also extremely impressed in their ability to meet my budget and kept well within the outer means of said budget. I am going back to GLJW's for my next design of our wedding bands and will be a returning customer for my life and hopefully my kids one day. Much love to GLJW! I think the photo says it all, it came out beautifully!

I wanted to design new wedding and engagement rings for my 25th wedding anniversary using two diamonds I provided (one from my original engagement ring and one from my mother's). I was nervous about using a jeweler on the other side of the country that I couldn't meet with in person, but loved the custom designed rings I saw on the Green Lake Jewelry Works website. Communicating through the website design page, our designer Chelsea created several beautiful design sketches based on my ideas, design preferences, and budget. We went back and forth a few times modifying the design until we settled on the final versions. Chelsea was always quick to respond to our questions and very helpful! It took about 4-5 months total from start to finish until the final products were shipped to me. Once I received them, the rings were slightly too small, but Chelsea arranged for me to ship them back and get them resized for free (which only took ~ 1 week). The rings are beautiful and completely unique! I highly recommend Chelsea and Green Lake Jewelry works.

I hadn't been in years but recently they did a repair on a pair of vintage silver cz hoops for me (next day) and I couldn't be more impressed with their service and attn to detail. I don't recall the jewelers name (sorry!) but she had blond hair and cool snake hoop earrings. She even cleaned them for me (yes you can have cz pieces cleaned here.) The earrings are so much better than when I brought them in..aligned, working properly, and sparkly! The post had been broken in half so the earring wouldnt latch/close and thus they were unwearable. Problem fixed in a half hour! Btw, they hey have a wide variety of jewelry styles/price points/artists, so you can easily find a personalized, lovely piece of jewelry for guys or gals. I can't wait to come back and get something for my boyfriend. Its also a fun place to browse on a rainy day so you can really understand what handcrafted jewelry is about. When a gift counts, and they should always count, this is where I will buy. Theyve earned a loyal customer!

I went in to get my wedding band resized. I was immediately taken aback by the impressive interior design of the jewelry store. They have a massive section for their jewelers to work with little plants on the desks. They have TVs cycling through slideshows of rings they have made. I had my wife's engagement ring custom made out of state and we have been really pleased with it. But the designs I saw here humbled me. They have some beautiful designs. During the short wait to speak with a jeweler, I was offered a coffee from their espresso bar. So back to why I went here. A lovely and professional Gold and Platinumsmith by the name of Nikki Worthy assisted me. She was able to resize it without removing a chunk of the gold. The resizing and polishing was on the house and I didn't even get the ring from this jewelry store. I was in and out in under 15 minutes with a properly fitting wedding band and for no charge. I strongly recommend you stop by this place if you're looking for a ring or a resizing.

After doing some research of jewelry designers in the area, I chose Greenlake Jewelry Works. I went to the Seattle location and met with Christina. She was friendly, welcoming, professional and listened to my ideas. Admittedly, my ideas were all over the place, but I knew I wanted a vintage setting to highlight my great grandmother’s diamond. Christina is very creative and talented, and she took my ideas and brought them to life. I picked up my ring yesterday, and I cried. The final product exceeded my expectations!! From the drawings that Christina did, to the craftsmanship done on the ring itself , the attention to detail is extraordinary. The overall experience at Greenlake Jewelry Works has been amazing . From the time you walk in the door, to the time you leave with your new work of art, you feel taken care of . I want to especially encourage you to meet with Christine, she’s simply amazing!! The first place my boyfriend and I started looking for rings was here when we got engaged. We weren't really sure about getting a custom ring so we looked around to see what was out there and of course I had something very specific in mind once I figured out what I wanted and no one was able to offer exactly what I wanted except for here. We got to work with Christine. She helped us design exactly what we wanted, a gorgeous 3 stone Montana sapphire ring. She was amazing and I couldn't recommend working with her more. She always took care of any questions I had and was just a joy to work with. She talked me through things I would never have thought about, like would a standard wedding band sit well next to the type of setting I wanted or would I be ok with a curved band if not? She made sure I was completely confident in the choices I was making for this ring. My ring is perfect and I'm so pleased we chose to get my ring here.

I love this place! Around 10 years ago, my partner and I went to Green Lake Jewelry Works to explore wedding ring options they have to offer. We were blown away by amazing wedding ring options they have plus they also offer very creative ring designs that you won't see any other jewelry shops. We ended up doing custom design on my wedding ring. I have it for over 10 years and I am very happy with it. The quality is fabulous! We stopped by this place this morning - we are still blown away by the world class customer service we received. One of employees, Ellen did really great assisting us to help my partner to select a wedding band. We are very happy with the service and ring design we worked on together. I also had my wedding ring maintained and cleaning. We are very happy with their services. We definitely will come back again when we want to purchase jewelries or have our rings cleaned. Very highly recommended this place!

Green Lake Jewelry Works is AMAZING! I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. My now fiance and I went to them in September of 2019 to just start looking at rings and thinking about custom ideas. I told my fiance I didn't want to know what the ring looked like, but had an idea. Rebecca had me email her some inspiration pictures, and from that point on, my fiance and her really came up with such a beautiful design. I have my dream engagement ring now (he proposed on Christmas) and the best part about Green Lake Jewelry Works is that they photograph the ENTIRE process of making the ring, from the first sketch, to the wax mold, to them placing stones in the setting. They're so nice, they really pay attention to detail, and I am SOOOO excited to see what they come up with for my wedding band, and I can't wait to work with Rebecca to make my fiances wedding band! Definitely go check them out, you won't regret it!

I had a custom ring designed to bring new life to the stones from a ring I inherited from my Grandmother. The old ring was too small, broken, had missing stones and no other jeweler would touch it because of liability. Green Lake worked with me to evaluate the ring and the usable parts from it. I chose a design from their catalog of work to base the new ring from. Sophia helped me rework that design to incorporate my preferences and ensure we used as many of the little stones as possible. She realized a vision for this ring that is tasteful and frankly exceeded my expectations. I did get a brand new ring that is designed specifically for these stones, and I had no idea the stones from that broken ring could look so brand new. I love this new ring from Green Lake and knowing it has my grandmother’s stones gives it so much meaning. It’s great to breathe new life into an heirloom that previously got no use.

I have had a week to admire my ring and I couldn't be more pleased. The compliments include gorgeous, unique and timeless. I walked into the Bellevue location and was greeted by Ben who walked me through the design process while assuring me even non-creative types could design their own ring! I came back with a blurry inspirational picture and a family brooch with some diamonds I hoped to use. Ben made awkward budget conversations so easy. The pricing was transparent and upfront. He was accessible, communicative and I was always thrilled to see an email from him. The questions I posed that I considered trivial or silly were answered compassionately and clearly. I would have never considered custom or designing a ring myself before Green Lake Jewelry and today I'm thrilled with the ring and with the story. Thank you to the entire design team!

My fiance and I designed and purchased my engagement ring at Green Lake Jewelry Works! We had such an amazing experience working with Sophia and the rest of the Green Lake Jewelry team. I worked with Pia to custom design a ring for my girlfriend. The entire experience and the final product were so far above and beyond what I could have ever expected. I had even tried shopping around a bit before deciding to go with Green Lake, but ultimately I chose Green Lake because they showed more true excitement and passion about what my girlfriend wanted than any other shop. My girlfriend wanted a rare vintage cut (old mine) that no one else had. Other jewelers tried to push me to other more common cuts, but Green Lake worked with their diamond dealers to locate a diamond from the other side of the world to meet my girlfriend’s wishes. My girlfriend called it the ring of her dreams. I HIGHLY recommend working with this amazing team if you’re looking for something truly unique that will standout from the average engagement ring.

I highly recommend Green Lake! I started my journey by browsing past designs and found one I loved from the start! Then I was able to communicate with my designer and she helped me browse and find the perfect gemstone. I was able to view pictures of what different designs would look like when finished. Once the design was settled, weeks later I got a wax casting of the ring which I appreciated being able to see what the setting would like on my finger. All this done online through the design page. I received my ring today and it completely surpasses everything I imagined. It’s gorgeous! Rebecca is a wonderful designer. I was afraid buying a ring online would feel distant and I was hesitant, but this experience not only felt personalized the ring craftsmanship is superb. Thank you, Rebecca and Green Lake Jewelry!

My husband and I visited other jewelry places and overall just felt the associates pushy and only there to help for the commission. When I read some of Green Lake Jewelry reviews, I looked at the jewelers bio and Ellen was who stood out to me. My husband and I were on a very tight timeframe, we met Ellen for our first appointment and she was very professional, welcoming, and heard our desires and the time we had. She was very knowledgeable and if she wasn't sure of something she would get an answer for us. She met our expectations and stayed within our budge and was very flexible. We were able to have a customized band and a ring with the diamond I really liked. I highly recommend Green Lake Jewelry and Ellen, it was a pleasant experience and would definitely go back for when we are ready to upgrade our bands.

Gosh, these guys are great. We never went because it looked like the sort of stuff that really wasn’t our style. We eventually took a ring there to be cleaned and expected to be asked to book an appointment. Nope! They took it away and had it cleaned in less than 15 minutes, and in the meantime told us about their programs for up-and-coming jewelers. Later we brought my great grandmother’s ring to see if they could find anything out about it. The person we worked with spent a good 20 minutes going over it and gave us a bunch of information free of charge. Genuinely a really nice place that feels welcoming and has neat stuff to look around at. They also keep a beautiful planted fish tank with some very healthy goldfish. Makes me feel nice to walk in and see them well cared for.

It's hard to review an entire place when so much good that I have to say is directly about Sophie M (the wonderful designer I was fortunate to work with); but what I can say is that all the systems and procedures Green Lake have in place make the process so easy and well organized that I can't recommend this place enough. As for Sophie, her exceptional customer service and creativity meant the world to me. Working with her to bring the ring to life was a truly special experience and without her I would not have been able to give my best friend the ring she deserves. When you see a place rated as highly as Green Lake, it's understandable that you may be a bit skeptical (as I was), but I am so glad I gave it a shot because every positive review rang true. You should too.

Ellen at Green Lake Jewelry was wonderful to work with. After getting engaged, my fiancé and I worked with Ellen to create the engagement ring of my dreams. I started this process thinking that I would be such an easy customer and boy was I wrong, I quickly learned that the custom ring design process would be met with my extreme indecisiveness. Ellen was so patient and really a dream to work with. She happily sent me image after image of design options and responded to countless questions I had. In the end, Ellen ended up custom ordering a piece from another supplier in order to get exactly what I wanted. My husband and I ordered custom engagement rings from Green Lake Jewelry Works, working directly with our assigned jeweler, Vinh. Vinh was incredibly thoughtful, thorough, communicative, and informative throughout the whole process, especially as we added to the design over time. We received updates with pictures that showed the progress and explained in further detail how the rings were being made. When we got to pick up the final result, we were so impressed by the beautiful work put into our jewelry, as well as the overall delivery and presentation. I was on the search for a new jeweler for my family to work with as we have a lot of heirloom stones/metals we like to repurpose for new pieces. I came into the shop with a vague idea of what I wanted in a ring, and she helped solidify the design by pitching suggestions that incorporated the ideas I wanted to include. She clearly set the expectations of each stage of the design and transaction, and was very responsive to our questions and ideas that we posted on our design blog page. I truly could not have asked for a smoother process when it comes to jewelry purchases. Overall, very satisfied with the end results! Great experience. I’ve never bought fine jewelry or designed it. Sophie helped me design a beautiful, unique engagement ring for my partner with responsibly sourced gemstones. The process was relaxed and easy with lots of iterations and fast responses to my indecisiveness. My sister had her engagement and wedding band made here as did my colleague from work. They both said this was the best place! And after my experience—I totally agree! Starting off, making an appt online was easy. And from the moment I walked in (and again with my partner), everyone was so kind and treated us with respect. Rebecca was our designer. We went into the engagement ring process overwhelmed and unsure that’s we’d ever find the rings we wanted. The Green Lake Jewelry works team took away all the uncertainty and made the ring designing process fun, easy, and creative. Within just an hour my partner and I found bands that we absolutely loved. Working with Rebecca at Green Lake Jewelry was truly amazing! She helped me design a one of a kind ring for my finance that turned out perfect! I absolutely adore my custom engagement ring designed by Christine! I wanted to be involved in the design process, but as picky as I am, I thought it would be a challenge. Chelsea was my designer and she was AMAZING. She is so gifted with art and ring design. She made a beautiful custom designed ring for me that I love. I am very particular and we altered the design a few times. She was always patient and helped me make the best decisions by educating me throughout the process to ensure my selections would best fit my needs long term. I've had two custom pieces made at Green Lake Jewelry, and both experiences were wonderful. I worked with Sophia on a pair of custom drop earrings and they turned out perfect and are adorable and lovely. Chelsea helped me design a new engagement ring utilizing my existing stone, and it turned out stunning. I receive compliments daily on my beautiful pieces. Ok, came to get an antique resized, after going to another store and being treated very poorly I had a low bar already set. However these people here are VERY attentive, personable, and super helpful. I’ll come back and update this when I receive my ring back - but given how transparent, professional, and skilled these folks were about what they were talking about - I am almost positive this review will stay a full 5/5. Keep doing what you’re doing - it is obviously working!

Christine and the team at Green Lake Jewelry were incredible to work with! From the start the design process was truly personalized and culminated in a ring that's uniquely ours and stunning. Throughout the process Christine listened thoughtfully to understand what we liked even when we weren't sure. She was collaborative, patient, authentic, and creative in exploring designs together. It was an amazing journey working with Grean Lake Jewelry Works custom design team. Every step of the way was collaborative, on both sides, and very productive. My designer was very receptive to both giving and receiving desired design and the team executed on it perfectly. I enjoyed the experience so much, I already have 2 more projects underway with them. My only word of advice, platinum is expensive. However the team at Green Lake Jewelry Works rock.

We had an amazing experience with Green Lake Jewelry! We were just a walk in that Christine took in, and she was incredibly friendly, helpful, and responsive throughout the entire process. She even was able to set our diamond in a presentation mounting before our custom ring was ready so that I could have it in time to propose on our trip to Japan! This place is an amazing local jeweler! My husband worked with Sophie M to design my stunning oval solitaire. Then, Sophie M worked with us to use my family diamonds to create my dream wedding band! My rings are so special and of incredible quality. My husband also loves the gold band he chose. My MIL was able to repair a family tie pin here that my husband wore at our wedding that looked fabulous. This is THE place for your jewelry needs!

The whole process took between 2-3 months. I originally thought I would be taking several iterations before coming to a design that I loved but Chelsea was great, professional and responsive (super quick responsive) and I really love the final product. I would definitely come back for additional jewelry wants/needs. This is definitely a piece I feel confident wearing for the rest of my life as well as a great piece to pass onto loved ones.

Hired Greenlake Jewelry Works to repurpose some diamonds I had, into gold earrings. THEY ARE GORGEOUS!!! I had figured it would be a long process, pricey, and convoluted but it was so easy, quick and very affordable. The earrings are stunning! This was my first time inside Green Lake Jewelry and I'm thoroughly impressed; looking forward to redoing my wedding ring with them soon!

Shayna did a fantastic job resetting the sapphire on my ring, which had come loose due to not being set properly from place I had purchased it (which wasn't Green Lake Jewelry). The prongs were too short and hardly came up the edges of the stone, which can be seen in the first photo. The second photo shows the new correctly sized prongs Shayna added, which are much more secure.

Susie listened carefully to my story and created a custom piece that's unique and beautiful.
