I am registered with Dr Karen Alyward in the practice. She is one of 4 doctors there. As a 49 year old woman I consider myself very lucky to be registered with her. She has been amazing through Covid, seeing me for various preventative checks, is extremely thorough and is very knowlegable on the menopause which is a particular issue for me right now. I have dealt with the other doctors in emergencies for both my daughters and they have all been extremely thorough and professional. Most importantly they have been thorough, caring and kind with us as patients. I wish everyone could have GPs as professional and well informed as these GPs. I have had many different experiences on my travels around the world the last 20 years and can say that their professional and caring attitude is the best I have ever experienced. Happy to grow old in Drumcondra with these folks at my side! (I'm only 49 - hope they will be with me a few years longer!)
I'm in lock down since end of Feb. I think my GP is not there anymore. I've been going there for years and they were amazing. Now, in the last year, you can't request your monthly prescription to be picked up over the phone anymore. You must send a letter or email. As my prescription is dispensed weekly, when I email, the auto response says they will check their emails within 72 hours. So, I have no meds due today until probably the end of the week. The pharmacist says I will have to ring a D Doc later to try and organise my meds. Have MS, and am doing oral chemotherapy at home and am cocooning for next 13 weeks.. Why does it take 72 hours to look at an email? Beyond distressed at this stage.
Absolutely disgusting practice who do not answer emails or phone calls from sick elderly people. While I understand there is a huge demand on medical services at the moment, not facilitating the sick elderly people is unacceptable and a vile way to treat these people leaving them at a loss and with no other option but to suffer.
Disgraceful service. Nothing patient centred about it, just fit in as many bodies as humanely possible and end up giving none of them decent care. They'd be better off catering to cattle than to human beings.
Well run medical practice. Great staff and doctors. Definitely competent, good listeners and do not wing it. Highly recommended.
I am a patient of Dr O Sullivan. He is a brilliant doctor and so nice and compassionate. Very lucky to have him as my GP.
My experience with Dr. Scanlon and the support staff has been first-rate. Ignore his advice at your peril.
Great service , Recently changed GP and i couldn't be happier - Friendly staff and very quick service.
