The admission price is steep for what you’re getting, so I’d splurge for the VIP pass that gets you into this, Ripley’s and the Hollywood Wax Museum for a full day of fun. Full disclosure, I didn’t do that but bought tickets throughout fundraising auction so I was at a meter instead of at an all day parking lot and I honestly could have used more time here! The first floor has some cool exhibits and a lot to read that is lost on younger children (I was with my five year old)... but they have some fun things for those kids to do like how many hits of a drum can you do in a given amount of time. The second floor has TONS of fun games! Like an arcade but you can play anything as much as you want without extra fees. I would imagine this would be terrible if super busy but it was just fine for us. We didn’t have to wait long. The basketball game was my favorite just because I could play those all day. They had a cool movie too. Then back to the bottom is pretty much the end. I wish it were larger but it was fun! I’d be mad if I paid $26 for just this though! Spend the extra 9 or 10 and go to all three museums.
(disclaimer: 25 year old male who went by himself) I had some time to kill so I thought I would check this place out given I used to love the books when I was younger. I was very disappointed, the museum was pretty small and felt very outdated exemplified by the CRT monitors throughout. There was minimal interactive sections and ma y of the records where wrong/old E.g. (from my general knowledge, I'm sure there are many more examples) 1.Turkish Lira the.least value currency (hasn't been corrected since 2005 due to a redenomimation) 2 Kepil Dev best cricket alrounder (this is an opinion and stats don't even back it up) 3.Hong Kong the largest airport terminal (Dubai is 3x as big) Overall I thought this would be a bit of fun as a time killer as the concept has great potential but I feel like they don't care and just want to make money. I can't really remember going if your similar to me given the price.
Ive been a fan of Guiness Books my whole life and couldnt wait to go to the museum in Hollywood. I went with my family 3 kids ages 5-13 and hubby, non of us were thrilled. There were a few parts that really were interesting and neat to read and a section on human bodys at their most extreme (tall, short, overweight, hairy etc). We spent most of our time in this section because they actually made this part pretty amazing with the display and interactive things. The tallest man and smallest woman was our favorite display. Oh and we cant forget Michael Jackson who has his own alcove with his records, a case with one of his hats he wore when inducted into the guiness book, and his music playing. I guess there is something for everyone. Fun place to blow an hour or 2.
I visited the Guinness World Records Museum today and was profoundly disappointed. Not only was it a complete waste of time, but it was also one of the worst experiences I've ever had at any attraction. It's hard for me to articulate just how subpar this place was. From the unengaging exhibits to the poor organization and lack of information, it felt like a poorly conceived cash grab rather than an enlightening or entertaining experience. I'd advise others to save their time and money and avoid this place altogether. It's an embarrassment to the Guinness name.

Be careful when purchasing the tickets to go to both the wax museum and the Guinness world records. We were a party of 7, (one under the age of 4). Only two of us in the party decided to go check out the museum and once we scanned our tickets to go check it out, the guy “Boulder”(which he stated was not his name.) Told us our tickets had already been scanned, and we could not check out the museum, I was confused as we paid the more expensive price so we would be able to check out both. I then asked my sister for her tickets thinking maybe the kids had scanned them twice by mistake, staff is not very friendly. Yet we did enjoy seeing the wax museum.
More fun than I imagined possible for a wax museum. I have to admit I was not the least bit excited about the idea; but, as a tourist in Hollywood, paid the bit extra to visit both the Guinness Records Museum and the Wax Museum. My kids had fun at the Guinness Records museum playing all the games. To my utter shock, they had an absolute blast at the wax museum! Every exhibit was fresh and posed with props to use for pics and play. My kids didn’t know 80% of the celebrities featured, but that didn’t slow the fun. Get the combo tickets, lay to rest preconceived notions, and make sure you’ve got the storage capacity for plenty of pics!
A dull and boring place to visit. There were many interactive displays but most of them were broken or didn't function. Most of the other displays were simply information sheets stuck on the wall, meaning the venue was basically like reading the actual book - not much fun, and nothing to look at. Big rooms that are pretty empty, and even one that was completely black with a big non-working screen on the back wall - nothing else, not sure what it was supposed to be. Don't waste your time and money visiting this venue, just go next door to Ripleys which is a great deal more entertaining.
This is a great museum on Hollywood Blvd. They have lots of good interactive exhibits and definitely a great family place to go. Make sure you get the combo ticket for here and the wax museum across the street. It’s about $26 for an adult ticket just for the Guinness museum but just $3 more for both museums. Take lots of photos and have a great time learning about world records!

We had a lot of fun here! We bought the pass to go to all three places (wax museum & Riley's) and this was my favorite! There are a lot of unique records out there for things I never would have thought of. There's a designated area to test your skill at breaking a few records. It was loads of fun!! It's a tourist attraction so it's very very crowded. My only pics are of us and our records so I didn't share them. You'll have fun!!
Never been to this kind of museum before and haven't really been following the Guinness world records so I didn't really know what to expect. That being said I saw some records that I know are outdated but was still showcased as a record holder. But it was interesting to see of course and there was a lot of good information on the different records. It was worth the money. :)
I love Guinness world records and collect all the books so I was looking forward to seeing this place. Sadly though it wasn’t as big as I’d expect it to be. It was only two floors that didn’t have that much on each. Had some similar exhibits to the Ripley’s museum too. Still worth a visit if you’re interested but just a little disappointed it didn’t have much to offer.
Came with my wife and friend during our brief stay in LA. We visited as part of the package deal to see the wax museum, Ripley's Believe it or Not museum, and Guinness world records museum. This museum was the shortest and had some facts that I thought were outdated. But to make up for it, they had some fun interactive games that had some competition with other people.
I have to say, not amazing... About a 10 minutes walk through museum..(with stoping) About 15-20 with games too. I would recommend to go to a near by museum could "Believe it or not" A very nice place, has more interactive attractions and is bigger (longer) and I at least found it more interesting a fun then the Guinness museum.
I came here with my family of 4 while on vacation because I have purchased the multiple admission ticket from the wax museum and I thought this one was the worst one of all 3 . Nothing special to see and the place was very small. I thought the coolest thing about this place was the musical steps we tried otherwise very boring
We visited on a Tuesday right after "summer" ended. No lines. Not a lot of people in museum. Purchased the Access Pass that also got us into the Wax Museum. I really liked this museum for the 2nd floor. My 11 year old daughter & I had fun together there. Wish we could have spent more time there. Would certainly visit again!
This location is fun for the whole family, but while going through, I came across a few errors, that could easily be fact checked by a google search. For instance, the true height of the worlds tallest man, 8’ 11”, as opposed to the listed 8’ 3”. Definitely fun for the family, and a good experience though.
This was a fun place to go with a small group of friends, there's something to look at and read around every corner. There were plenty of games and interactive screens which catered to people of all ages. Unfortunately while we were there, a handful of the interactive challenges/games were out of service.
Really old, outdated and not in any way worth a visit. I don't think half of the records on display are even records any longer. Like the claim that the Golden Gate bridge is the worlds longest bridge, I don't know if it ever was, but nowdays it doesn't even make the top 10 of suspension bridges.
Honestly was expecting more. But overall it was fun. My son had a blast! It was also very warm in here because the front of the building is open. Here’s a few pics!

They have fun challenges and games to play that will keep you in for longer then advertised (24 minutes) me and my girlfriend stayed for almost 2 hours reading and watching what they had. Floor 2 had a bunch of games to play that you dont need to pay for once you are in the museum.
This was such a fun experience. I love that they have like a mini arcade of games to try and land a world record of your own. I tried my hand at a few and didnt get nearly as close to the actual record It was still fun. I can't wait to go back soon! …
Loved this one If you enjoy historical moments and information and a few interactive games too then you will definitely enjoy this one, I'd definitely go again

Visited here recently and while we enjoyed ourselves we found several issues. This Museum and the one next door, the Ripley's Museum, had many of the exact same exhibits. Sometimes they even contradicted each other. Such as the fattest man.
I thought I would just be walking around reading things and that was not the case. Surprisingly it was very interactive which I really enjoyed. I would definitely go back. Next time it will be with other folks instead of alone.
Buy the 3-in-1 ticket (Ripleys, Guinness and Wax museum) for $36. The place is too small and does not have a lot of stuff. So keep your expectations low. You get what you pay for that's it. Good to take kids and explain stuff.
Fun activity for me and my kids to do also we got the package deal with the wax museum.

Four stars only because I was y that interested in going to this museum. However, this place is good to learn about extraordinary people, and is very interactive. A ton of games to play solo or with your friends!
Very interesting, interactive, very fun!!! Kids would love this place.

Super fun place. It is super kid friendly with lots of hands-on things to do. The price was worth it. I had a lot of fun. Some of the exhibits need to be updated.
Cute, but rather small and nowhere near the $25 a person for it. Fun mini games with some world records but I think it was way overpriced and underwhelming.
Hail was great.!!! Very sweet!

It was just mostly boring. If you think you'll be interested in the records, just buy the book, skip the noise, and the overpriced, packaged experience.
Went here with the LA go pass, museum was smaller than expected. However, I had a great time. Many interactive exhibits. Overall a fun time.
Just something to do waste a little time. Been there done that they have them in other cities. This is probably just the biggest one More
Overpriced. Good place to learn but only if you’re willing to read and/or to watch minutes of videos. Very few entertaining games. More
A complete cash grab. Most areas of interest are broken and the museum is very outdated. Novelty at best. Avoid if you can. More
Little bit kitch, arcade style with a lot of noise. At one moment I got tired of so much information unrelated.
Honestly my fault for going to a tourist trap, but I needed to kill time before a restaurant opened. More
Very interesting and weird world records. I enjoyed a few ones. Some are really creepy, others too dumb.
Boring, not interactive or attention grabbing. Good to kill some time but not really worth the money.
Good museum for kids entertainment and education on different events around the world.
It was fun, especially if you are a big kid at heart.
