H&R Block has had my second stimulus check since 1/4/2021. They ev they sent it back to the IRS on 1/6/2021. On 1/29 I called them again and was told they actually never sent it back, and that they needed me to update my address and they’d send a check. I still do not have the money, and have now spent 3 weeks being transferred from person to person. Each person tells me something completely different, then transfers me to someone else or hangs up on me. I have had three separate people tell me they were going to email me a form that I need to fill out to request a new check be sent. I have yet to receive an email, and it’s been three weeks since the first person said they were sending it. They also say they cannot send a new check into 4/29 - but that’s only if I can actually get the form by then. Today I was hung up on by a supervisor in their financial department. I have now filed complaints with the BBB and Ohio attorney general. H&R Block has not responded to either.
For many years Jill did our tax at HR Block Hobart, and her service and manner were exceptional. We've now been seeing Simon Allen for 8 years or so and he has given us the same good service and friendly caring attitude. I can see some reviewers have not had good experiences; I just wanted to balance up with some positives.
Poor customer service right from the get go. Low quality of information + seemed they wanted to get me out of the door asap. Should have gone somewhere else, however the website didn't inform me it was going to cost any money before the appointment. Appreciate the free phone conversations as part of the fee.
We recently dealt with Steve from H&R Block and were very impressed with his service. He took care of our tax returns for our small business and responded to our email enquiries very quickly. We highly recommend and will continue to use his services again.
2 returns, 45 minutes, 350 bucks. They didn't do anything you can't do yourself. I was hoping they would have some sage accounting knowledge on how to milk the system but nope. Just do your tax online. …
