Booked a couples day for my husband and I. I asked to package a couple's massage with mani/pedi's and facials. We were told at the time of booking that we could bring champagne with us if we liked. We arrived at the spa and were immediately whisked back to our massages. We were supposed to be able to choose deep tissue or Swedish, but neither of us were given the option. The pressure on my massage was a bit too much for my taste. I left feeling relaxed, but the next day my entire body was so sore I couldn't move. My husband liked his massage. We then were taken to get facials done. I thought this would be done together, but we were taken to separate rooms. The esthetician that I had gave me some advice about my skin and then proceeded to upsell me on the facial. I asked how much extra it would be and was told it would be $60 more. After the facial we were taken to get our mani/pedis. This was done in a retail space with many other people. I asked for our champagne we'd brought and they gave it to us, unopened. Since we were getting our nails done we couldn't walk outside to open the bottle so it sat there the entire time. I was also told I could choose any color nail polish I wanted as it was included in the price then was promptly told the color I picked would be $15 extra. Again they tried to upsell me. At the end we went up to pay and were told a price much higher than I was quoted. I knew there was an upcharge for the facial, but the price the esthetician gave me was much lower than what the front desk tried to charge. There was no discount given for packaging these services together so our "spa day" ended up being very pricy. They asked for a tip at the end too and I told them how much to add. The girl ended up adding a $2 tip and didn't listen to the amount I'd said which would have come to about a $15 tip per person. I didn't realize until after we'd left and felt terrible we just split a $2 tip between 6 people. I called to rectify the issue, but was told they couldn't charge my card and I was welcome to come back with cash that I didn't have. Overall I felt like this experience wasn't the relaxing spa day we were looking for at all. Everything seemed very rushed, many of the employees seemed stressed like we were wasting their time, and they couldn't even open our champagne or make our experience special in any way for our anniversary. I didn't appreciate the multiple upsells, being lied to about pricing, and the fact that the girl at the front didn't listen when I told her how much of a tip to add. It felt more like we were a burden than anything. If you're looking for a relaxing day spa feel, look elsewhere. Really wasn't happy with the overall experience.

I did a nurturing dayspa package which was a 50 min body massage, European facial, and basic mani/pedi. I love, love, love Pablo! Hes THE BEST! Highly recommend him for the 50 minute body massage. He put enough pressure and asked me throughout if I needed more or less and explained the difference between Swedish and deep tissue. I told him it was my first time getting a massage let alone with a male and he made me feel extremely comfortable. He gave me some tips for reducing tension on certain parts of my body that are always tense. I would definitely come back for another massage with him. I had Irene for the European facial, she really knows her skincare and gave me tips on skincare routine and products for my acne prone skin. I recommend her as well! She informed me of their services but didnt push it on me to buy them which I appreciated. Afterwards, I had a basic mani/pedi, it was okay nothing special just a soak, exfoliation, cuticle removal, polish, and dry. I would definitely come back for Pablo and Irene and I want to try their steam shower next time which they didnt mention was available complimentary but I saw it and just didnt have a chance to try. Sundays is free parking otherwise metered which is why I gave 4 stars, it was hard finding a spot on a Saturday so I missed a few minutes of my massage because of this.

I planned for a spa day for a friend and I almost 6 weeks in advance. I was receiving a discount since I was a FORMER employee. Now they didn’t have to do that for me especially since I no longer work there. I walked in the spa to pay in advance for my service, 5 days before to be exact. They said that they changed the policy and could no longer honor the price since they changed it. I asked why would they change the policy and not inform me of this change when it occurred. They couldn’t answer me(typical). The owner will change policy for her own gain. You waited for the last possible second to inform me…. That’s why I no longer work there. To think that you done me wrong before but now this….. I WILL NEVER SUPPORT YOU AGAIN!!!

I went to this place a few times many years ago. I have a very common name, and some other person with my name missed several appointments. I missed ONE- and called ahead of time to cancel- but they applied their really aggressive policy against me and would not look into the fact that they had confused my account with someone else’s with the same name. They Charged me. No apology. Now I’m getting promotional texts with no option to unsubscribe. Left a message today to let them know that it’s illegal. We’ll see if they FINALLY remove me from their marketing campaigns. All around: very unprofessional, high maintenance and harassing.

The WORST service ever! Poor workmanship. Got a Mani and Pedi, technician got the no chip gel all over my dress because she did not place a towel down. Manicure was horrible, there was no soaking of hands in water bowl, no cuticle remover applied, no push back on cuticles, etc. I mean I just couldn't believe it was this bad and the nerve to change someone $90 for this was is horrifying. I have gone to high end spas and not so high end spas and this salon should never position themselves as high end even though their prices are high Needless to say I will NEVER go there again, beware

We came here for pedicures and shellac manicures on Saturday afternoon. It was busy without being crowded or disorganized. Upon entering they offered to take our coats and brought us beverages. The space was large and clean. My nail tech China (sp?) was lovely. Both my mani and pedi look great. She also asked how I liked everything and if I wanted anything touched up- which I didn't need but I thought was very contentious of her to ask. I believe my friend's nail tech was Maria and she was also very happy with how her nails look. Both techs were professional and friendly.

Such a bummer because I really love the masseuses and estheticians here, they always do such a nice job, but my credit card was charged 3X for the last visit and I've called at least 4 or 5 times and management refuses to fix anything. They just claim they can't see the charges on their end and told me to try disputing the charges through my credit card. It has been 2 weeks since my visit. They have been very unapologetic and haven't kept any promises to call me back or update me on it. I'm going to have to go somewhere else, I'm sorry Fabian I'm going to miss you!

Of course we dont have many photos, we were too busy enjoying the experience! I took my mother here for her birthday. We both got the "Take Care of You" spa day package which included European facials, 80 minute massages, and paraffin mani/pedis. I only have good things to say about this establishment. The cleanliness and privacy level was superb. The employees were extremely thorough, friendly, and professional. I would definately go again!

I've been coming to HM Day Spa for a few years now. Each time I come in, they always take such good care of me. I've been seeing Fabian for massages since the beginning, and I've never had a better massage in Chicago - hands down, he's the best. I've had a few mani/pedi's from multiple team members and they are all excellent, but it's a win anytime I have Terri or Anna. Net net - clean and friendly day spa in the West Loop. Highly recommend.

The place is clean and the decor is relaxing. It does not reek of artificial fragrance which is always a turn off in other places. I went here for an hour and half massage with Tishana and facial with Sveta. Both were great. I really looked forward to a good massage and promised myself to have one while we are back in Chicago. HM Day Spa did not disappoint. The trouble spots in my upper back went away. I would definitely come back here.

Aahhhmazing! This was my first time here at HM and I am thoroughly impressed. I had a facial with Maddie Rose. She's so knowledgeable about skin care and answered all of my questions. My skin felt wonderful and she recommended products to use daily. I had a massage with Fabian. Wow is an understatement! A 60 minute massage with him was well worth it! I felt so relaxed after having services at HM. I definitely recommend this spa!!

I had the best experience here. From the time I walked in I felt welcomed. Dusse (I hope I spelled her name right) front desk receptionist Greeted me with a smile & answered all my question. April did my facial & she was every bit of AMAZING! She took her time & made my skin feel so good. I will be back Tuesday actually for a massage with Fabian C lol. If you never been please book now! Went last night for a mani-pedi, and they fit us in about 30 mins after I called. Abril was fantastic, and my fiancé was very comfortable during his pedi (second ever). I’m impressed - this particular Essie polish is hard to paint without being streaky, and my nails are nubs, but Abril nailed it (pun intended ). Comfortable place with spa music (no tv) and wasn’t too busy on a rainy Thursday night.

Made an appointment in advance of a trip to Chicago, and this place was within walking distance of where we were staying. I had originally scheduled a 90 min massage, but upon arrival we decided a 60 min couples massage would be nice, to which they were very accommodating. The place is nice, and the therapists were no exception. The massage was quite relaxing, but nothing exceptional.

When I called to book an appointment, the person that answered seemed bothered to book services. Receptionist was shocked when I mentioned I was trying to redeem a spa package service. I asked for the manager and she had the same demeanor. It’s understandable that you’re having a bad day, but to talk over a customer & be unpleasant is a no for me. Save your money & go somewhere else.

From beginning to end, it was a top notch experience. I booked the The Grand package plus a 50min wellness massage and the day kept getting more and more relaxing as it went. Both Dominica and Janet were incredible and I seriously cannot wait to repeat this combo with them. Highly recommend this spa and highly recommend the grand package for people who enjoy hydrotherapy.

Wanted to purchase 4- $100.00 gift certificates. Not customer friendly at all. On-line purchase, PayPal, would have 2 be 4 separate transactions and then, after placing orders, HM Spa would NOT mail GC's. Just e-mail confirmation :-( Would NOT take phone orders. Went back to Urban Oasis. Always, always pleased with professionalism & detail to customer service from U.O.

I had such an amazing time here with my sister. The pedicures we got were UH-MAZ-ING! I'll be going back before summer for sure! If you want to go to a place that takes excellent care of you and help you shake the worries off from your day, this is your place. The staff is amazing and the service is top notch! So thankful I found this spot so close to where I live.

Highly recommend. I have introduced so many people to this place and they all agree it's one of the best pedicures they have ever had. The staff is very nice. And they have a fantastic $100 special for massage/mani/pedi. I don't even live super close but I still go out of my way to come here instead of the nail salons in my neighborhood.

The Soothing Spa Day Package was phenomenal. My sister gifted it to me for my birthday! You essentially get a facial, a massage (I got a deep tissue), and a manicure. The cost was not bad at all, and I definitely see myself going back in the future, or gifting it to someone else. Beautiful setting, liked the ambiance, super tranquil.

Friendly staff. I enjoyed a nice massage, but manicure and pedicure were just average. The space itself looks dated and somewhat dingy - chipped plaster on walls from where chairs bang against it, large (like 5' tall) birth control advertisement in the main room, hard water build up in steam room, and so on.

Visited a friend for the weekend and she surprised me with a massage! Had an hour with Pablo and it was marvelous! Highly recommend him. Was able to answer questions about my shoulder issues, was very polite and made me feel very comfortable. My friend got a mani-pedi and also fully enjoyed her experience.

Services are always done well. Staff is very professional and friendly. This spa offers many services. Location is very clean and comfortable. I have made last minute appointments and appointments with large groups and they have always accommodated us. I would definitely recommend this location!

Had a lovely massage here. The masseuse really did a lot of work to relieve some pain I complained about and did an amazing job (even if it hurt a bit at the time, I felt LOADS better the next day). Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. I look forward to returning soon!

Loved LOVED my birthday experience at this spa! Other commercialized spa chains Pale in comparison!! This Spa cares about your overall experience, and the hospitality was wonderful! I Had body scrub and massage that were phenomenal!! Will be back!!

I had an amazing and relaxing time. The staff took very good care of me and honored the gift certificate (from 2.5 years ago which they said does not expire). They are on the pricey side but so worth it so I will definitely be back.

My feet have never Ever Ever Ever Been this soft after a pedicure with China in all the years of getting pedicures. I keep touching them because I'm amazed at how nice they feel. It's like she gave me brand new feet.

Excellent service especially since I was a walk in for a no chip Mani. Anistaysiya was great hope I spelled her name right. She took her time and detail on my white polish no chip. Will definitely be back! Thank you!

I have been to Victoria twice now for a deep tissue massage and she is amazing! I highly recommend her as a masseuse. As for the facility itself, it is very clean and welcoming. Glad I found them!

They confused the day of the massage appointment and then rescheduled for the next day but only provided half of the time. Service was not great to say the least. Expected more for the price.

I can always get in - they have great hours, it's down the street from my apartment. I've gotten manicure, pedicure, massage and my eyebrows done here. If no other spa is open they are!

I had the best visit here - I had a groupon for foot reflexology and mani-pedi. It was excellent. Although it would be a little pricey without the groupon, I would definitely go back.

Great people by the products and cleanliness of the place was a little off putting. My no chip didn’t last more then a few days, so that was disappointing.

I really enjoyed the sugar scrub, facial and massage. I do have a word of caution be careful of the water temperature, the shower I was in scalded me.
