"Service was great"
We found HOB Coffee on Park when looking for a new place to have crepes. It appears small from the outside, but there is plenty of patio seating, with indoor seating as well. It is pet friendly for patio dining. When we were there they had a very unique coffee flavored with mushroom powder. Sounds odd and gross, right? It was surprisingly delicious. We had one cold and one hot. Both were equally tasty. The coffee flavor was robust and smooth. The mushroom powder, cream and other flavors blended into the coffee were a surprisingly delicious combination. The crepes were light, large, well-filled and SO GOOD! They were: Scrambled Egg, Bacon, Spinach, Cheddar, and Tomato - another was like the one just named with Brie instead of cheddar. The last one was Pesto, Artichoke, Red Peppers, Feta and Arugula. It is casual dining where you can relax and enjoy a leisurely meal. We will definitely revisit HOB Coffee on Park. I feel confident that no matter what is served, it is sure to please.

Our visit to HOB Coffee on Park was a letdown, especially considering the positive reviews we had read. Unfortunately, our experience did not align with the previous feedback. It's possible that this place was better in the past, but it now feels a bit run down. To begin with, our order was mixed up, leading to a frustrating wait. Even after the adjustments, the food wasn't enjoyable and lacked flavor. The coffee also fell short of our expectations. Furthermore, the ambiance of the cafe did not match the pictures we had seen. Instead of the inviting atmosphere we anticipated, the place wasn't very well maintained. Overall our visit left us disappointed and unimpressed.

A very fine establishment with great coffee and decor. I don’t know why they put this phenomenal Kobe art in the bathroom. I wish it was out and about and showing. Espresso here is top notch, not sure if they have glassware. Only downside is that there is scarce parking around here. Not their fault of course and anyone from SD knows this is common nonetheless. Actually there is paid parking across the street I believe. We parked farther and walked. My gf liked the bread loaf here but I can’t remember what it was called. Next time I’m gonna try the cold brew. Service was friendly and fast and they look like they have some cool merchandise here as well but I didn’t buy anything.bath
Horrible service, tossed the food on the table, didn't get my order right, when asked for it on how I wanted it they over cooked it to the point that it was so hot that it burned the top of my mouth. Espresso machine broken so had drip coffee that was really bad. They also ran out of avocado and didn't even try to give reasonable service. Food burned my mouth and it was horribly presented. Also waited for over 30 minutes for a bacon, egg, and cheese on a croissant sandwich. Not worth returning.

Service was great. The person helping me was really nice and helpful with answering all of my questions. Food and drink were mediocre and underwhelming. I had the truffle grilled cheese - no butter was used, it was also so small. felt like I was eating one slice of cheese on a cracker. Skinniest sandwich of my life And the iced Vietnamese coffee - way too sweet and thick.

Man this was the best coffee I had in SD. I just get a drip. It wasn’t bitter or acidic. I came in bc a friend recommended it - I’m a bit of a coffee head so I normally take recs lightly. But I was impressed fs. I had to go back to grab a bag of beans to take home as a souvenir

Kitchen closes half an hour before they do. I had an avocado toast with sprouts that was DELICIOUS. So fresh and yummy. The staff was very nice and the food came out quickly. I’d like to try a crepe next time. Loved the food and can’t wait to go back.

Horrible coffee place. The wait time for a pick up is ridiculously long. Service with no smile. The morning crew walk around like zombies. they don't look like they want to be there serving customers. Better places to choose elsewhere in Hillcrest.

Delicious breakfast and good coffee. We recommend the salmon toast and the fruit yoghurt. The concept is to order at the desk and take your coffee yourself, breakfast was brought by the waiter.

Here is the latest victim of the Sour Coffee Trend! Yes, they will hide behind terms like "Lighter Brew" or "Fruit Forward Acidity" but the bottom line is that the coffee is sour. Don't get me wrong, I'm always among the first to experiment
I found this spot on google last Monday… coffee was good the new gal was nice but the guy I think might be Hawaiian was rude when their restroom was not working and had a cocky careless attitude. When I asked if he was the owner the girl
I ordered a breakfast sandwich without ham. Once I received the sandwich after about 30 minutes of waiting it was filled with bacon. I understand the mistakes get made so I just asked for it to be remade with no bacon. Waited another 20
Nice atmosphere, great location, and awesome customer service. Had an almond chai tea and bacon, egg, spinach savory crepe and both were delicious. They were very kind with accommodating allergies. My mom had the apple and caramel sweet
Don't order an iced King Slayer. Waste of $6. Cinnamon was clumpy and chalky, couldn't taste any espresso. Tasted like milk, A LOT of sugar and clumpy cinnamon. Highly disappointed for it bring their #1 seller. More
Great for working and drinking and eating! Lax enviornment, savory crepes. I substituted avocados for bacon in the breakfast egg crepe. Hours after working, got a dessert crepe with salted caramel and green apples.
The latte was good. I really enjoyed the toast, with jam and goat cheese (all super fresh). Service was A+. It is a little pricey but someone has to pay for all the “entitled” WiFi users not buying anything ha ha.
Love this place, food, coffee, customer service. It hits all the marks. Their espresso is soooo yummy and has such an interesting flavor. Their chaggachino is also a must have!! More
There's a good reason why this place has 5-star rating. Great coffee, chill vibes, awesome staff, wi-fi, outlets, AC, indoor/outdoor seating areas. Did I say people watching?
Got a King Slayer latte and banana bread. Latte was delish and b bread also good. Cool vibes & plenty of seating. Friendly staff and not too busy. Mahalooooo
