I'm impressed with Kirstin and grateful I found her! My sister, a physiotherapist in another province, suggested I see Kirstin about acute osteoarthritis in both my thumbs. Like another reviewer wrote, Kirstin really does take a real professional interest and her time. She is an excellent problem-solver who can engage a community of expertise (when needed) of which she is a part. In only 2 months and 3 visits (including an additional one at my request), Kirstin has taken me from constant pain and disability (I was considering another cortisone injection and even looking into the possibility of joint replacement surgery if necessary down the road) to now relative comfort and much greater function. I was able to get affordable comfort braces for each thumb, as well as more rigid protective braces for activities like gardening, prepping food, lifting, and other activities that inflame my arthritis. These supports, plus a simple daily strengthening routine, mean that it's unlikely i'll need to consider other interventions in future (like cortisone, surgery). I've found Kirstin to be very responsive, warm, thorough, and dedicated to me as a client as well as to her profession. I referred my Mother to Kirstin and she/Mom was very happy with her experience. I can't recommend Kirstin highly enough.

I have some serious hand problems after 35 years in my Trade. My trusted GP referred me to HULO telling me that this physiotherapist is the best in Ottawa to deal with hand and upper limb issues and my particular issue. Kirsten assessed my issue and worked with me to help me go from being constantly in pain to completely resolved. I'm now able to resume my normal activities and cannot recommend Kirsten and HULO enough. Just being able to be no longer in pain and doing the things I need to do is a major miracle for me and HULO and Kirsten is why I am now able to be at that point in my life.

Kirsten is a hand and upper limb specialist who has treated my wrist twice in the last week. I had an MRI a year ago and was referred to a hand surgeon and I am still waiting. I was very impressed with 2 things. First her knowledge and her approach to treating my injury has been impressive. Secondly , this is someone who spends time with and you dont get passed off to an underling. So many doctors have you in and out in a matter of minutes and are on to the next patient. Not Kirsten. She does everything herself and is very good at it. I highly recommend Hulophysio.
