I can’t wait to have my cookout at this park! I stopped by because I was in the area and my dog needed a potty break. This park has everything a full park has but in a two block radius. Pools, including a kiddie one, renovated basketball courts with bleacher style seating, mini soccer field, tennis courts, playgrounds, a mini outdoor stage area. They have an abundance of picnic tables situated in areas with plenty of shade no matter the time of day. The picnic areas have designated trash cans for charcoal. The playgrounds have sprinklers and old fashioned swings. With that being said I have four stars because there are some areas for improvements but I guess there’s no rush because it doesn’t serve a huge population. It really is a hidden gem.

Great part of the upper east side of the Bronx NY. Easily accessible via exit 11 off New England Thruway I95. The is a public swimming pool, basketball and soccer field, children's playground with slides, swings etc. There's also a performance stage and lots of open areas for picnicing and gatherings. Occasionally, there are food and beverage vendors in and around this park area. Like the day we were happy to suppor Black businessman Dru and son Jermaine and their homemade Lemonade Stand on the corner of Ely Ave and Arnow Avenue.

The staff are very patient and helpful with all of the patrons. The poolside areas have many chairs, lounge chairs, umbrellas. Enough for everyone. The decor/ paintings/ murals were all bright and friendly, just like the demeanor of all the staff!! What a wonderful trip I had. I highly recommend Haffen Pool and Park to everyone. I'd like to be selfish and keep this Bronx diamond to myself, bur, I have to share it. Thanks for the great day!!!

Great place for barbecuing, small and intimate, could use some better upkeeping. It's been a while since I've visited, everything seems a lot better, it is most certainly cleaner, there was some kind of musical event and a soccer tournament, the latter was the reason I was there from about 3 pm till a bit after 9 pm. Quite an improvement, I hope it continues to get better for both individuals and the surrounding communities.

Haffen park got a pool, swings, play areas, basketball and handball courts, as well as several benches to choose from. They also have bathrooms. The reason I don't give it five stars would be because of the bathrooms. They are clean but dated and out of shape. No hot water knob, partition is bent 35 degrees (how does that happen?!). Other than that, it's a decent park.

They have it together here. The kids don't rule over them its you follow the rules so all can enjoy. One less star cus the baby pool need to get the paint ships out the entire pool. One little girl kept saying " I can't swim cus there's too many wood chips" I had to laugh but it is true feels like your stepping on little chips that pokes your feet every time.

Since when they started doing 4 sessions in stead of 2 . And what is the purpose of the police if they don't even stop a kid from doing something dangerous. Yes its the parents job but really your going to stand there and let the kid cut his hand open or worse …

It's really nice to be here, sometimes in the summer there are adult women walking around with no shirt on, so watch out for that. But otherwise, there's a lot of space and even when there's hundreds of people in the park, I still have a lot of space to sit at.

Good place to hang out and play, if you smoke. Only some of the tennis courts have lights which causes a bottleneck because it is a working class community so most people are available to play at nights. Not too many idle rich around here.

okay so the spark was a wonderful experience my daughter love dates I we had a barbecue with organization with people everybody was happy the kids had to play my daughter went to the pool her friends were there she had those slime

Pool, open BBQ areas, clean bathrooms and always a park ranger on duty. Basketball area has plenty of space and benches. Handball court is wide for great games. Great space for events. Definitely a top 10 community park for me

Extremely clean park with running sprinklers for the kids and a swimming pool. Great park for family fun. NYC Parks Dept was out giving trash bags and being helpful. Thumbs up for them!! Happy Fathers Day to all Fathers!!!

This is a great park to go to for everyone. It may have had its downfall in the past but it has really picked back up and been revitalized. Been going to this park for decades and will continue.

Built for kids, but has become a place where hoodlums hang out now, hate to say it. Not the neighborhood's fault. If you like the smell of weed and occasional gunfire, this is the place for you.

The Park is need of dire upgrades from the tennis courts, basketball courts, soccer fields and the picnic areas also it needs a garden with beautiful exotic flowers to enhance the scenery

Very nice, I was indeed surprised to see the tennis courts so clean. However, with that said, it would be great to see some maintenance on courts 3,4,and 5. They are in really bad shape.

They have a tennis court, soccer court, swimming pool and a barbecue area. A place to walk as well. It could use an upgrade. The police guards the swimming pool entrance. I feel safe.

Neighborhood park. Nothing more. Has a public pool. But full of ghetto kids. I lived across the street from this park for 7 years. Meh. Nice before the kids get out of school though.

Disgustingly loud music that can be heard many blocks over from afternoon until evening and they don’t care if you don’t like the BOOM BOOM BOOM!!!! Zero stars if I could.

It was really good. Their swimming pool is spacious and cool for hot summer days. They have playgrounds for little and big kids. You should definitely come here!

Visit at least 3 times each summer. The pool is a decent size, it's just that sometimes the wait to get into the pool area can be a little ridiculous at times

Great place to bring your family on beautiful summer days and fall days. You can barbecue and also take a splash in the pool. I loved going there as a kid!!!

Big park. Not as dirty as before. Why did they replace the kiddie swings? What happened to the see-saw? Space could be laid out better for kids to play.

Nice park. Clean & well kept. The park has walking paths, playgrounds, baseball field & a large swimming pool. Its located in a nice quiet neighborhood.

The Tennis court, the Watet Fontain, the Valley4Life committee event, and the kids playground were really good. However the Park needs lots of repair.

First time at this park, went for a family BBQ, large park, pool, sprinkler and playground and basketball court. There are public restrooms as well.

Loved this pool when I was a little girl. Now my children get to swim here. The staff is very polite and the pool always clean. They speak English.

Jaffen Park is a hidden oasis, very clean, peaceful and the people who go and work here are very polite. I'm going to buy a house in the area.

Nice park kept pretty clean. It is street parking only so it might be difficult at times especially with alternate side of the street parking.

Park doesn't have enough to keep the kids occupied. Park is very big but only has 2 small jungle gyms and a set of swings along with a pool.

Having lived on Adee ave, today was my first day at the park. The south east pedestrian pathway slope to the park reek of Urine.

Why is the pool closed? Travel all the way here for nothing… even though it says it’s open on the websites …the pool is drained

Favorite park to have a picnic, swim at the pool or to even play tennis and basketball here. I love taking my toddler here.

Haffen park is awesome, everyone is doing their thing,its a real nice play ground and chill out spot.
