Very disappointed! I booked an appointment with a stylist I have seen twice before - I was impressed by her services, so she gained my trust to book multiple hair appointments leading up to my wedding. Today’s appointment was confirmed yesterday via text message directly from my stylist. Earlier today, I had a missed call from the salon - I called back but couldn’t get through - the salon didn’t leave a voicemail and there were no further attempts to contact me, so didn’t think much of it. When I arrived at the salon, the door was locked, but I could see someone inside - eventually one of the owners, Tanya reluctantly opened the door and told me that my appointment was cancelled. I questioned why, and she stated that the stylist was affected by a family emergency and said I should have been contacted. When I stated that I was not reached about the cancellation, she just shrugged and said sorry then closed the door. I understand that the circumstances were not the fault of the stylist, but the owner’s lack of care has made me change my mind on trusting this salon going forward, especially for the important occasion of my wedding! Very disappointed that the owner, being in the position to make this right did nothing.

I followed Sarah at Hair House YEG for a year on Instagram (during Covid). I loved all of her work and hairstyles that she did for others… so I finally booked an appointment with her to fix my awful Covid hair (which I had dyed from a store bought box and suffered for months with dry, bad brassy hair). She immediately responded, and we had an online consultation, which left me excited about my upcoming “first appointment”with her! Well fast forward 8 months and at least 4 hair appointments with her, and I’m happy to say I love my hair again! Sarah always listens to what I need and want, and she knows hair! She is very friendly, passionate about her work, and pays attention to every detail. We always have great visits too! I would recommend her to everyone that I know, who desires a hairstyle and hair colour that compliments them - one they will love and enjoy. Life is too short to have bad hair days!

I cannot rave enough about Sarah and this location. It is such a cute salon, easy access, and good parking! After having a couple bad experiences with my hair I was so disheartened. I came to see Sarah and everything changed. I have been coming to her for years now (the longest i’ve ever stayed with a stylist and never see myself leaving at this point) She is so professional, takes the time to listen to what you want and your hair goals, and walks you through the process on how she will get you there. I always feel so comfortable and loved when I come. All the stylists will interact with you and make you feel so beautiful and that’s something i’ve never experienced at other salons.

Amazing, and friendly. I had a hair emergency and am very thankful that I ended up in the capable hands of Chynna. You can’t tell from the photos but my hair is a tumbleweed of curls normally and, in a recent bad judgement call on my part, was quite.. warm and dark. Regardless she knew just what to do to make it look the healthiest and best it’s ever looked. I can’t wait to show it off every single day. I also have never felt more comfortable or accepted in a social setting (if you are anxious, nervous of judgement or worried in general like I am this is the salon for you) very nice environment, friendly/kind people, and engaging conversation.

I’ve been coming to The Hair House for 3 years now and my hair has never been better! My stylist Sarah is a miracle worker. She always knows exactly how to cut my hair and I always leave feeling super satisfied. Sarah goes above and beyond to ensure I am always happy, and we've even tried some fun new hair colouring trends, which I normally wouldn’t do. I’m a low maintenance hair person and she always creates a unique look that is easy to maintain and still looks great! I would highly recommend Sarah and The Hair House for your next hair appointment! You won’t be disappointed.

I love getting my hair done at the HairhouseYeg! the staff is so inviting and friendly, the overall environment is just really positive and uplifting! Sarah is absolutely amazing at what she does. I first saw her last summer and i hadn’t touched my hair in a long time since covid started and she transformed my hair into exactly what i wanted and more i think! haha (honestly the best hair i’ve ever had) i’ve been continuing to see Sarah and she never disappoints! Highly recommend the Hairhouse Yeg and Sarah as a stylist - she’s also just such a down to earth girl!

The Hair House is amazing! First off, the interior is just so cute and I love the retro chic vibe they have going on. It's a small salon so has a very intimate and relaxed feel. Second, Shelby and Sarah are amazing! Both are super friendly and knowledgeable. Shelby cut and dyed my hair. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and then told her to use her creative discretion. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the final result - absolutely would recommend that everyone try this salon out! 10/10 gold stars!

I have been using this salon for one year now. Sarah is amazing!! You can't go wrong with her. Perfect, cemeterical, haircut? No problem. Extensions? You got it. Highlights, blowouts, styling - she will do it all. Sarah will take the time to make sure that everything is done to the highest standard, will not rush and will not rest until every last hair is in place. This little business is as cute as they come. I've recommended Sarah to all of my friends, go see her. You won't regret it.

10/10! Sarah was absolutely AMAZING with my 3 year old daughter! She was patient, very friendly and told or showed my daughter everything she was going to do! Sarah had a little container of beads to keep my daughter occupied and she was extremely quick and efficient! My daughter's cut is so great! The sucker at the end was very appreciated as well! My daughter asked if she could go back for another haircut tomorrow! The highest compliment from a 3 year old! We will be back :)

I saw Shelby a few weeks ago for the first time for a cut and colour. I wasn’t sure what I wanted but Shelby worked with me to determine the perfect colour and style. She made me feel in control while helping me come up with a new look. She was knowledgeable and friendly and put me at ease right away. I have long thick hair which can be a challenge to work with but I left the salon feeling and looking great. Thank you Shelby I’m already looking forward to coming back.

I got a cut and balayage with Sarah for the first time and I couldn't be happier with how great it looks! I was amazed at the extra effort she put in my hair to make sure it came out perfect. She is really easy to talk to and really helpful if you aren't sure what you're looking for with your hair. The salon is very cute and they use great products. I would recommend Sarah to anyone!

I love getting my hair done here! The salon is very pretty and pink, and Dom does a phenomenal job with my blonde every time. She custom mixes toners to match exactly what I want and give me a wonderful result. They also sell my favourite purple shampoo here, so it's a great one stop shop to take care of all my hair needs. Very cute salon, couldn't recommend it more!

Sarah does such an amazing job with my hair! I have super thick hair and she always can colour and style it exactly how I want it. She is super accommodating for my schedule as I'm a full time student and she reaches out to me to make sure I have my next appointment booked and that it's everything I want! Jesse F did a babylights service for me and I could not be more happy with the outcome! He listened to exactly what I wanted, gave me some tips on how to maintain the health of my hair and was such a pleasure to spend the time with. 10/10 would recommend. Sarah is an excellent stylist/colorist. She always accommodates my schedule. I’m a middle-aged woman and she never leaves me looking outdated or frumpy, but always with a modern flattering style. The salon is bright and friendly.
