The bad customer service at all ,no communication among staff.I called them week ago before coming there ,booked appointment on the phone .I was told by some female staff as she won’t available so she is going to book me with Sam.On the day of my appointment when I arrived there they have my name and contact number but they were not sure who’s was going to assist me .The hairdresser Sam told me you were assigned with Rosie but she doesn’t work on Thursday but to me on phone they said I’m booked with sam .The guy Sam told me I can’t do anything So i had to leave in the end. I would say awful service how you running the hair salon if you just don’t know how to book appointments for the clients . I drove straight from my work like 45mins to reach their location who’s know they just gonna tell me “Sorry Honey I can’t take you right know as i have other clients for me”So why the heck u booked me it’s your fault your staff fault.The guy sam already knew that i was booked with Rosie on Thursday and if she’s is not available at least they should have called me to let me know so that I don’t show up. Just so poor services ,Respect your clients if you can’t take them during their appointment days don’t book them before.

Unfortunately for me I would up with a terrible experience here. I went in to have my hair relaxed and trimmed - I'm of Jamaican descent and have very tight curls naturally. It has been relaxed once a bit over 3 months ago (in the states, otherwise I would have returned to the last place as they did an amazing job) but a good portion of the root has grown in so I need to have it done again. I don't know what he used in my hair but it was not a conventional hair relaxer. I was there for well over an hour while he blow dried and brushed my hair (with the relaxer product in it!) At the end of the treatment my hair was completely fried, and then they tell me I have to keep the product in for 3 days! No thanks, I couldn't believe how they'd butchered my hair. I washed whatever it was out as soon as I got home. It was clearly over-processed and ruined and yet they acted like that was how it's supposed to look. Now I have to go get most of it cut off and regrow thanks to Sam - if you don't know what you're doing, don't pretend to!

Due to terrible experiences years ago with hair cuts I had not gotten my mine cut in about 10 years, but really needed one now. After searching online and reading reviews I chose to come here. I was assigned to Kelly, I showed her what I wanted and explained keeping my length is super important to me. She understood exactly what I wanted and provided me with such a beautiful haircut with very minimal length being taken away. Aside from being very skilled and mastering her work she also has a very friendly personality, very well spoken and kind which really calmed my nerves. My experience with Kelly was top notch. Her quality of work is amazing and I will forever be thankful for finding her. The entire staff was also very kind and welcoming and saw other clients leave with big smiles on their faces. Do not hesitate to come to come here especially f you’re having an almost nervous breakdown from fear of haircuts, ask for Kelly lol.

After more than 20 yrs of using this salon I went for a perm in early Jan 2023. When I originally called and spoke to Lee he indicated that they were busy but would fit me in. I went and Lee was my hairdresser for this appointment. I asked for a perm and explained that Andy & Vi both use white and grey rods as my hair is resistant in some parts and the perm falls out quickly on the top. He asked me if I thought he didn't know what he was doing to which I said I knew he did. To make a long story short Lee didn't listen and instead of a nice perm I received for my 100.00 a VERY POOR BODY WAVE. It is now just over a month since this and my hair looks terrible because Lee wouldn't listen now I have to go and PAY ANOTHER 100+ TO HAVE THIS FIXED. After 20 years I am thinking of leaving my beloved salon. Very Sad about this.

What can I say about Hair Power.... they are the VERY best. I have been going to them for years and Lee has never let me down. He does an amazing job with my hair every time! I always have complete strangers complementing my hair and I let them know Hair Power is the place to go! All the staff are wonderful people... always cheerful and smiling and willing to chat with anyone. They have a family atmosphere like no other and always make you feel welcome. I also give a huge shout out to Sam @ Hair Power for the amazing up-do he did with my hair for my sons wedding, absolute beautiful job Sam! I received so many compliments so anyone wanting an up-do, Sam is the one to see! For anything you want done with your hair, Hair Power is definitely the place to go, you won't be disappointed!

It's really hard for me to trust someone with my hair because every single time I go to a salon, I come out disappointed. I found this place on Google and let me tell you.... The first time I went there, I had an amazing experience with Anisa. Everything about her was wonderful, her personality, her experience as a hairstylist and the pricing was a bonus!! I was so sad to hear that she was no longer with them. Today, I went to see them again and I had the pleasure of meeting Andrew. I couldn't believe how amazed I was with him also. He is such a great person to deal with professionally and a great guy all around. I will be definitely coming back to do my touch ups every couple of months. There is a new lady in hair power who cuts hair. I guess Kelly left the place and this is a new hire. I asked her name and she said 'Gee'. I asked to spell it. She said G-E-E. The next day I asked her name and she said 'Rada'.:I have a few things that I noticed about her. 1) she would not listen to what u want to do with your hair. She has her OWN Likes and dislikes that she wants you to take. 2) she keeps talking to her fellow employee in her own language and would neither pay attention to the job nor to what you say. 3) She would shamelessly pick up the cloth-cover that she used while cutting your hair and shake it on you at the end of her job and your clothing will be covered with freshly cut hair.

I was here last month on Saturday, I had to go for an urgent meeting next day and coz of busy week didnt get a chance to go for the haircut. I entered the salon almost 10 minutes before close. I honestly didnt knew there closing time. One Employee was following the schedule and he was right, that they can’t take anyone now coz it’s closing time. Inside I was like, hollyyyy. But this gentleman name Lee, he shouted, ITS OKAY, I Will do it. I was like, thank you thank you so so much..... He served me when they were closed. Can’t forget this service. Next day meeting was very important to me and he made me look presentable. Thank you Lee, I really appreciate it.

I am a very picky person when it comes to my natural curly hair. It is very very hard to style, highlight and cut curly hair evenly. I have have been to so many salons all over Alberta and everyone I went to had no clue how to style and manage curly hair until I met SAM @ HAIRPOWER! Not only is he a Master at styling he is a wizard at highlighting and matching perfectly to the color I selected. I get nothing but amazing compliments on my hair, and I could not have done it without the Help of SAM. I have been going there for the last 15 years and every time I get my hair done I am blown away with the amazing job he does.

Kelly was absolutely wonderful. She was professional, down-to-earth, and very knowledgeable. Her attention to detail was impeccable and it showed in the end result of her services provided. My daughter provided this gift to get my hair done and had asked Kelly to transform my hair colour. I had asked her to give me an autumn look. I was so ready for a positive change. She absolutely went above and beyond my expectations. Huge thanks to Kelly for giving me an exceptional experience and a fantastic look that totally suits me. The long time stylists here are fantastic, I returned once again, but this time I made an appointment with my favorite hair stylist, she is the perfect example of customer service excellence, an all star service and person. I will just need to remember to make an appointment with her in the future as I had given a 3 star rating previously as I was a bit disappointed in my second cut after returning from many years away. My first cut back was amazing, wash, cut and care. Second cut no wash, fast cut no care and uneven when I seen it after, plus she charged me substantially more then the first cut, not pleased.

I went for my first time today and I had Anisa. She is absolutely wonderful. She did an amazing job cutting my hair. I had hair that went to the middle of my back and I cut it off so that it was at the middle of my neck. The whole way through she was lovely company and made me happy that I made the choice I did to cut my hair. I will defiantly be going back to her and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a phenomenal hair salon. The other staff members were also very kind and friendly. All around it was an amazing place as they went out of their way to make you feel at home.

I had really really long hair that I spent nearly a decade growing out and went here to get layers and SOME length off. The hairdresser cut my hair wayyy shorter than the length I told him to, now my hair is almost half the length that it used to be. The haircut itself turned out looking alright in the end but it wasn’t what I asked for at all. Hairdressers should be listening to what their customers want and only doing what we’ve requested. It’s safe to say I won’t be going back here.

I have been meaning to write a review for a while... I came to Hair Power in the summer and was super nervous, I never have a good experience getting my hair done professionally as they always cut way more hair than I am comfortable with, NOT HERE!! This salon is great!I had gone to the same salon my entire life (25 years) because I had had several bad haircut experiences anytime I tried somewhere new. My old salon was getting more difficult to get into and more expensive so I tried this salon. I LOVE THIS PLACE AND KELLY!! I came in with a hair disaster from another stylist. And Kelly came to the rescue. I showed her a picture of what I wanted. She colour corrected my hair and turned it into the most beautiful ombré ever, doing the least damage possible. I’ve been receiving so many compliments on my hair since. Great cut at a great price! The guy who cut my hair was friendly and fast. I can't believe how fast they cut my hair, and the price is really reasonable. I was surprised to find that it was mostly men doing the cutting, which is great for a guy trying to find a good place to get just a plain haircut in a city full of "salons". Plus I didn't need to "retrim" the missed hairs when I got home. A huge plus.

i’ve been terrified to go to hair salons for years after a traumatic experience. decided it was finally time to get over my fear almost a year ago. the second i walked in i felt comfortable and welcome. kelli talked me through my haircut, and eased my anxiety. she did an amazing job !! i’ve only ever gone to her since. her personality is so bubbly, and she give’s amazing suggestions.

This is the best place I have ever been too. Been going for many years. This place is 100% awesome. Vi is the most old school barber (in a good way) that I have found, very very thorough and OCD, checks every angle several times and knows exactly what she's doing. Love it there. I have Sam done my hair a few times. Very friendly and caring this last time I really appreciated Sam said I won’t do highlights as you can damage your hair (I had a mess I did myself) so this showed me they are not after the money as other places are.
