We have these all over back in Texas where I'm from, and I was so excited when I saw they were opening one here. I was very disappointed with the only store I knew of around here that did buy and resell books, and The difference between them and Half Price Books has been a night and day. They have a great selection that's also very well organized making things easy to find. They also have areas for rare books or valuable first editions and things like that. All the books were also in very good condition as well. When they didn't have a book I was looking for in stock after talking to someone on staff they happily took the time to locate and order me that book for me. The staff was very kind, quite knowledgeable, and very much seemed to take pride in their work. The pricing on their books in my opinion is more than fair if not on the cheap side. They don't just sell used books, they also have older game systems, vinyl records, along with book related accessories. I hope others will enjoy this place even have as much as I do.

I happened to pass by this shop and thought “hmm it’s a thrift book store so they probably don’t have what I need but it wouldn’t hurt to check.” Boy was I wrong! There’s an amazing selection here and everyone who works here knows the ins and outs of what’s in stock. They also were really helpful in giving me recommendations based off what i was picking up. The gorgeous EP books were in great condition and everything is priced so well. I also appreciated the cute Easter eggs throughout the stores. You should go purely to identify each interesting chair name :p Love this place and will come back often!

So we went the first time with a couple of boxes, about 30 books and we got $ 15.50 for all of them. The second time we brought about 50 and most of them got rejected, they was in the same condition as the first ones we took and they only accepted about 8 of them. The attendant rejected most of them for cosmetic issues even though they was the same as the first ones we brought in. So depending on who you get to inspect your books you might get an offer, or not. Never coming back to that place, is a waste of time.

I've been a fan of Half Price Books for a very long time, and my crazy huge personal science fiction and history libraries are owed in large part to this chain. Before moving to Nashville, I had at least half a dozen of their locations within easy driving distance. Nashville is absolutely starved for book stores, and I suspect that this HPB location's selection is limited because people hold on to their books for dear life here. They're so hard to find! I wish these folks well, and hope the selection improves.

I absolutely love this store! They have a really great selection of used books at half price, as well as new books at a discount. They also carry vinyl, cds, dvd and bluray. Not to mention video games, board games, and some comics and graphic novels. Also, everyone working there was super nice and very helpful. Finally, if they don't have something you're looking for, they will look for it at another store and have it sent there for you. That's great service.

You know that feeling when you're in a bookstore that **knows** how to be a bookstore? The kind of place that makes book lovers feel at home? Where the staff is super friendly and eager to help? You know, a **proper** bookshop? This is that place. A "home away from home" for bookish people like me. Oh, and they have lots of books at great prices, as well as games, puzzles, vinyl, toys, audio books, etc. Highly recommend.

Clean, well-lit store. OK selection, for the most part. Prices are crazy-high, especially given that they do not issue trade credit for the stuff you bring in. Really, with McKay in town, this place is sorta superfluous. Also, HPB is a major online seller, so I am assuming that much of what comes into this store goes on Amazon. I wonder if that's the main reason HPB even has retail stores.

I used to frequent this business when i lived in South Texas. I was in the area on another errand and was shocked to see they've come to Tennessee. I stopped to see if Half Price Books was as great as i remembered. It was. The store was clean, well organized, there is a great selection and the staff friendly. I plan on coming back to add to my classics collection.

After a disappointing trip to a nearby antique bookstore, this was a welcome respite. The selection and prices are great. The selection of media is also refreshing with books, video games, CDs, records, and more. The store is clean and bright with cheerful staff. Anyone looking for a fun browse should visit! I went toHalf Price Books on White Bridge Rd Nashville TN today. I brought along several books I had read. I was amazed. This did not look at all like a place that bought and sold used books. I was amazed with the money I left with. The employees were very nice. I will be back as I am trying to down size. Half Price Books is a great place!

Wonderful bookstore! They have a great selection that includes a small section of old/rare books, delightfully quirky puns label carts and chairs around the store, all of the employees were helpful and kind, and the prices are incredible! I left with a double arm-full of books and have found my happy place in Nashville.

We visited several book stores in Nashville and this store had the most books that I was interested in. I bought some books from Gordon Korman and a ton of Western books from Louis L'Amour and Zane Grey and Gary McCarthy. I highly recommend this bookstore to anyone interested in books in the Nashville area.

A great place to go if you want a bookstore that sells items at an affordable price. Most items appear to be preowned; however, they're all in like new condition. A great alternative to McKay's and thr prices are actually better for many of the items I looked at. They also have journals, CDs, movies, etc.

One of my favorite used bookstores, I was excited to see a Nashville location. No more having to drive to Louisville, KY. The store was well-stocked, brightly lit, and very clean. A wide selection of books, videos, vinyl, and games. It's easy to spend an hour or more here perusing all the offerings.

Had a great experience here. Parking is very convenient. The store itself looks small on the outside but is large. The selection is good. I especially liked their nostalgic/collections section where I found a few gems. Prices are reasonable and the staff are nice and willing to assist.

Pretty good selection of books, movies and games at decent prices. Categorized and organized nicely. Bright and clean. A very nice, dark-haired young woman, who I believe was responsible especially for the law and other study guides sections provided great customer service.

Half Price Books is a more personable and affordable McKay's with amazing stock from games, collectibles, and a wide diverse range of books. It is well organized and staffed with exceptionally employees. If you are on the hunt, make sure HPB is one of your first stops.

A good selection for readers of all kinds, with good prices and rare finds! I didn't see a section for writers though... (Some flag stickies, highlighters and writing cards and you'd have a little nook for note takers and aspiring authors too just an idea) …

Clean, orderly and neat. Looks like the kind of bookstore now gone. Staff knew their stock and were organized. I'll still go to McCays and BAM, but this place is great. Also I still like to use notecards, and their were plentiful selection, pretty and inexpensive.

Always a great experience. Solid selection, with a fairly exstensive record/video game section. The staff is always super friendly. Their buy back program is decent. Not top dollar, but you cant beat the convienence.

Another must stop bookstore in Nashville. It seemed like most of the books were brand new but priced even cheaper than most used book stores. Plus they keep an active inventory of their books!!!!

Pretty steep prices on used books. Don't pay enough for used books. Got $15 for 3 - 27 gallon totes of used books. Half which were hard backs in great shape.
