"Eight days ago I called this store inquiring about a book"
"I love going to a bookstore and perusing their shelves"
"Hubby took me to here yesterday and had probably the best used book store experience ever"
"For a place that sells children's books and has a children's area they dont really care for chdren do they? I was there with my extremely well behaved 2 year old and my 2 week old and I was not only treated as if I was a bother to them they also were extremely rude to me when I tried to check out"
"A horrible place to sell your DVDs"
Eight days ago I called this store inquiring about a book. I asked if they had it & if it was in stock. Yes to both. I went on to tell him that I lead a bookclub so I needed it shipped to me ASAP. Without killing you with details (I could go on endlessly) the store clerk told me he would waive the shipping fee & the book would be going out that same day. I was thrilled & told him I would certainly tell the rest of the bookclub what great service I received & let them know they could get their book there. Now, eight days later, after calling the store & leaving two messages different times during the week that were never returned... I spoke with Leslie, the store manager. She informed me that my book didn't go out "the same day" as was promised but only shipped Thursday & would take 7-10 business days. I ask for a refund. While processing the refund she tells me I'll be getting $18+change credited back to my card, not the $12+change I was told I would be charged. What? What happened to the waived shipping fee? Leslie tells me I received no waiver. I miss our Camelback Half Price Bookstore! They were friendly, efficient & followed through on what they promised. This Paradise Valley store should have been the one closed. My recommendation- If you don't want a lot of aggravation find another bookstore.
I love going to a bookstore and perusing their shelves. It’s a family affair for us. There seem to be less and less actual book stores around these days. The selection is great at this HPB location. They do not always file books as my brain thinks, but that’s where their great customer service comes into play. Every time, they happily search for it in their system. If they have it, they point me in the right direction. They also have access to inventory for other stores. If it’s not in stock there, they will offer to order and ship it if it is somewhere else. Selling your books back is not a huge money maker by any means, but every little bit helps. And, it gets the clutter out of your home. Also, the low prices on used books, records, board games are amazing. Around the holidays, they put out next year’s calendars. By far, these are some of the funniest ones I’ve seen around. You can find Great Christmas gifts and stocking stuffers here! Check it out next time you are heading to Target or Costco. You won’t be disappointed.
Hubby took me to here yesterday and had probably the best used book store experience ever. They had everything that you love about a used book store while being professional, orderly and cleanl. They seem to have pretty high standards for the conditions of the books they except yet maintain a diverse variety of books. Every employee joyfully and quickly worked together as a team to help me find the books I was looking for. It was obvious that they loved what they do by their attitudes and detailed knowledge of their books. One guy said that it was his dream job and you could tell, he knew exactly where everything was and had an extensive knowledge on all the books that I was looking for along with recommendations for similar books. Each of the employees have a shelve with their recommended books for reading which I thought was really cool. They have a nice little kids section where we felt comfortable just sitting on the floor looking through books. My family and I had such an enjoyable time there.
For a place that sells children's books and has a children's area they dont really care for chdren do they? I was there with my extremely well behaved 2 year old and my 2 week old and I was not only treated as if I was a bother to them they also were extremely rude to me when I tried to check out. I guess I was standing 6 inches from the "proper" line area and I was scolded and then they allowed others to go in front of me mind you I had 2 kids and my hands were full with items. Other customers said I was first but the teller continued to scold me for being 6 inches off the "mark" needless to say I dropped my items took my kids and left. We will never be back which is unfortunate because I found some pretty perfect Christmas gifts there. We can't all be filled with joy during this season I guess. Even if we work in customer service..... I'm extremely disappointed in the staff.
A horrible place to sell your DVDs. They tried cheating me on a brand new (still had wrapper on it from Christmas last week new) DVD set for a current, popular television program--Dr. Who, most recent season. They offered barely $3 each for the DVD season sets of this program which were purchased the week before Christmas for $45 each. A third set was purchased from this store last Aug, even still had the price tag of $40 on the box, but they wanted to pay me a maximum of $3 to sell it back to them. When I questioned the math because that was too low (I expected@$8-$10 each), I got a smug smiling face and was told "well that's the best I'm going to do for you." Makes me question every purchase from that store, knowing that they cheat their customers, so I won't be back, even though they're closer to my home. I will be headed to Bookmans who bought the DVD sets for more.
Great experience here! One of the associates here was really engaging, nice and helpful. There is such a wide range collection of books even new books as well, reasonable priced! There's also other things as well such a gaming systems, video games, shirts, and other cool items. Would definitely recommend! **Update: After coming here a second time on a Saturday, it was extremely busy and they seemed to have enough associates at the time, but they acted as though they were understaffed. Since they had many customers, the manager there was really rude initially. She had a bad attitude and wasn't friendly. I had to ask her to be less bitter. My experience would have been a better if they'd improve their customer service skills, especially the manager there!
Would not suggest for anyone to go there if they're trying to sell books. My experience was awful. The employees are so not nice or friendly except for one I guess. Plus I took a lot of books there cuz I heard good things about the store and after almost 2 hours and 20 minutes they said they were done and they offered me $10 for a big stack of books and they were going to keep all the other ones and dispose of them somehow I was so upset over all that that I told my just take them with me and donate them to someone else so I had a box of all that and the guy help me get him back to my car though and that was about it I was not suggest anybody go there if that's what they're going to do to sell their books first experience ever
Just found out today that this company doesnt offer a Veteran's discount. Very disappointed. I'll be finding another place to buy my books. First review: 5 Stars- This place has a huge selection and fantastic prices!! I was looking for something specific and after looking on their website and not seeing what I wanted, I decided to run down and check for myself. I asked an employee and she directed me to a table where i found the book I was looking for. My daughter also found a book that she was looking for. Two great finds for just over $10!! Would've cost us $40 new, or we could still be waiting for the library to call and say our names are next. We'll be back soon!
Let me start off with the fact that I love books! And letting go of some of my favorite books that are in high demand on the market was very hard for me I get very sentimentally attached to them. I worked at at a library so I know what book's are needed in stores. With the amount of books i brought in and with them all in like new condition i should have received a higher amount then 3.50 considering the fact that they sell books in bad torn up conditions for more the "half price". HPB also has a slim selection as every book i went in there to find they did not have all in all, wont being doing business here again.
By far the best store to go there. They have everything from video games, to cooking, to plushies, to puzzles and board games, to so much more. They give out so many discounts and they have so may sales it amazing to go there. Their service is fantastic with super chill and personable employees on top of their fantastic selection of everything. Their bathrooms are fantastic and clean and are not over done but bland and very clean like a public bathroom should be. I extremely encourage anyone to come here if you love bookstores or anything nerdy/ geeky like me.
If you want to wander and get ideas it’s ok, it’s not competitive for used book prices and it’s definitely not worth it for selling books. Took in about 30 books to sell they offers $6 for 9 books. I walked out. They said I could leave the extra 21 books Incase they “could use them” umm no you don’t get free books to sell. I was offering like new pet smoke free books. Read once by an adult. Forget it and either donate for the tax write off or sell online yourself. I think they alienated shoppers during corona with demanding masks and not adhering to ada laws
Have been a customer for nearly ten years. Over all the staff is both friendly and knowledgeable. Corporate oversite is sometimes just plain wrong. If you've not been in the trenches, don't make policy. Worst may be ( just a guess ) MBA's who haven't a clue. Photographs are very deceptive. The store is not nearly as large as it appears. It is really rather small. Why do I remain a customer? Primary reason the Staff. There are many many book stores in the Phoenix area. Communications between local management an staff is sometimes lacking. vty a regular
I think it's shameful that Half Price Books breaks the spine and destroys the books that sit on the shelf for too long. You would think that a person that owns and operates a book store would do so to spread the love of reading. Instead of donating them to the Woman and children shelters, underprivileged children, or hospitals, they destroy them. Really? You should be embarrassed. I get making money, but destroying them so no one else can enjoy them just because you can’t make money on them? Half Price Books lost my business.
For finding and buying books they are awesome but, don't try to sell your books there. I took in 30+ books, all in brand new never been opened to good quality both paperback and hardback, authors they already have in store. Got told there was only 3 they wanted because they don't sell thoes books in their store. Clive Custler, JD Robb, Nora Roberts, really you don't sell those and the guy said no I could have shown him the authors on the shelves but, whatever, Ill just go to Bookmans.. What a waste of time.
The place is a good spot to buy books at ok prices, but a lot of the other things in the store. Like cd's , dvd's, games, programs , etc. are over price. the other problem is that they majorly underpay for the books and other things they buy from people that bring them in. Over all this place is a sham and a rip off. If you want to buy books there ok, if your in a pinch and need to sell a few of your books for some gas money don't go you will sell your life collection and walk out with $1.50. Worthless
I loveee this bookstore, they have a rack or a stand by in the front with new books 5-10$ cheaper than Barnes and nobles. I couldn’t resist so I spent up to 60$ there last time I went. Staff super friendly and funny. Also they got very good used books in good condition, A HUGEE YA section, and horror sec. Many Stephen king books too . Just wish they had a bigger religion section for Islam and Spiritual belief, I’d be happy to donate books to make the Religion for Sikhs and Muslims bigger
Half priced in Phoenix is wonderful. They will always help you out. Chester is my favorite and they always help me when I forget my coupon :) they will even find you items at other locations and send them over to this one for ya! Or take your name down if you are interested in something and call you if it comes in! I have even put items on hold and came to pick them up later. They are a local fun store, great for gifts and everything! Ask them for a recommendation, you won't be disappointed.
Great place to browse for the things you just cant buy in stores anymore! Half price books has a little and a lot of everything. Video games old and new, DVDs and bluray, a whole kids section.. clearance shelves in the back of store! Worth a visit if you are in the area. They also buy merchandise but dont give store credit. Cash offers are for people just trying to get rid of old media, you arent going to get the most money possible so just dont expect a lot of money for what you bring them.
National chain with both new & used books. I never leave here without an armload of books. Well-organized shelves with just about any genre printed. Great prices. Don't let the chain aspect keep you away. This isn't Barnes & Noble or something like that. It's pretty legit. And don't skip the clearance section. Walked away today with 15 new books for under 100 bucks - Christopher Hitchens, Richard Dawkins, marathon training & nutrition, Nietzsche, Sam Harris, Lincoln biography, & more.
Great customer service... I found this place online when I was looking to unload some books. They advertised that they buy books and I thought this was better than donating them. They had carts to bring in my used books and asked if I needed help. They explained how the program worked and advised they would page me when my offer was ready. They also offered to donate the ones neither of us wanted. I was happy I made some money back. Im even more happy that i now have a clean closet!
Sold books here as well as purchased books and games! They were very fast to get me cash for my books (about 15 min with 3 people ahead of me). They have tons of books to choose from - more than I expected. We especially loved the children’s section - they have it incredibly organized which is so appreciated! Book prices were higher than I expected for used books, but nothing outrageous. Will definitely be back and highly recommend to anyone looking for any kind of books or games!
The store has somewhat decent prices and pretty good selection. The amount they give you for your trades is rediculous though. I had a whole box of books including a Harry Potter book #4 and they gave me $8 for the whole box. I later went to look at how much they sell the HP books for and it was $7.xx. I know they can't give me what they sell out for but when you add in the other 20+ books I brought in, I would have been better just donating them to a charity.
I was hoping to get a good deal on books and wasn't sure what to expect. Instead of good deals, I found GREAT deals! I went into Half Price Books and planned to just take a quick look. 3 hours later I was still lost in the books and had to force myself out. Their selection and prices are amazing! My kids were soo excited and eager to dive into their new books! :) If you're looking for great books and great prices, I highly recommend Half Price Books!
While I had unpleasant experiences with staff the depth of sections still drew me in. Prices they pay for used books had me donating rather than accepting virtually nothing. Donated to libraries or Goodwill stores. Book condition at all location, now down to two, is exceptional. At another book store condition is often no comparison to Half Price Books. The sections, topics was much better. One example: books on Asia used to be by country.
I prefer to trade in at bookmans since they offer more in credit, but I love half price books for their prices! Large selection and a great place if you are looking for hard to find books. I go to half price with anything bookmans won't take since otherwise it would be going to Goodwill. Half price doesn't offer credit, but I do like their clearance section. I hit it every time I go! Workers are nice and have always been helpful to me.
One of the best places to get comics at a rock bottom price. Service is great and clean store. Worth drive. Lots of parking and well lit. All safety covid protocols are in place. Well organized. Team is always business and ready to help. Lots of comics and they are always filling their bins. Well price and are in great condition. Lots of trade paperbacks as well. Easy access and good solid hours. Recommended spot to go comic diving.
Staff always very friendly and helpful. I usually find at least one book I want. I have a list of fiction books I want to read and I often have a hard time finding any. (I have already read a lot of the ones they do have). But it is a used book store so I understand that inventory is hit and miss. They also have a fairly large inventory of vinyl records. It is definitely worth checking out if you like to read and want to save money.
Above average of what you would expect to find at a used book store, selection wise. I can find what I'm looking for 90% of the time no matter how old or new a book is. If not, there are always other books that catch my eye that I can easily find. There are also sections for used board games, video games, comics, DVDs, Audio book CD's, Music CDs, Records, etc... Employee's are very nice and I have yet to have a bad experience.
This bookstore is always a great place to go for books, CDs, DVDs, and records! It's quiet and cozy unlike Barnes & Noble which has more of a business feel to me. The staff are friendly and what makes me come back so often are the incredibly low prices! In the back of the store to the right they have a clearance isle where I've gotten some great books and other things from! All in all, it is definitely my favorite bookstore.
Outstanding! When we lived ther, we use to visit the one in Columbus, OH - but the one in Phoenix blows it away; the selection and variety of goods was amazing. The staff was friendly and very helpful (although, they don't catalog thier inventory). I could easily spend all day there... and a paycheck. Thank goodness we're just visiting and had to travel light, or we would have spent all our time and money there.
Great books, awesome staff, great prices and they love pets! I no longer shop anywhere else for my books I am a Half Price Books gal through and through. Their Paradise Valley store is very nice and cozy. They have chairs in every (almost every) isles for you to sit. It is a book store where you don't feel rushed to grab something and leave. They have doggy treats for the puppies that come in they are great.
The whole family enjoys going to this bookstore! Well organized and the staff goes above and beyond. My daughter was looking for a book in a series and of course they had all the books of that series but the one she needed. I was shocked when they told me it will be waiting for us the next day because it will be brought over from another location. When I picked it up I was even more pleased with the price.
Half Price Books is a book lover's paradise! They offer a vast selection of new and used books at affordable prices. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful, making it easy to find what you're looking for. Plus, they buy used books, which is a great way to declutter and earn some extra cash. Whether you're a casual reader or a collector, Half Price Books is a treasure trove for all your literary needs.
This is my son's one of the favorite places in the summer. Starting June they have this program for children where you can purchase a used book and if you return it within 7 days after you read it you can grab another book without charge. It is a great way to encourage younger generation to read. Even though the books are used are in very very good shape and just a fraction of the price.
Great resource for cheap books. They have a large well organized section for children's books/readers and fiction. Current best sellers are hit or miss, but if you callahead they can tell you if something is in stock. They also carry a decent selection of used Vinyl, CDs and DVDs. The front part of store is dedicated to bookish gifts: Calendars, Note cards, blank journals, etc..
Been going here for years since I was a kid. Always come away from the place with plenty of treasures. Recently came here for some materials for my students this upcoming school year, and found great reference that I wouldn't have been able to find at a Barnes and Noble (much less for the price). If it weren't for the distance, I'd probably come here weekly.
Not as big a selection as Bookman's but square footage wise it's smaller so that's too be expected. There were still plenty of books, along with movies, board games, and puzzles -- maybe some other categories too that I just didn't note. I found a couple of obscure games that looked so fun and they were in pristine condition. Will definitely visit again!
Great used book store in the Paradise Valley area. The staff were friendly and very helpful, the selection of used books was huge. It was also very clean compared to similar stores. There's a little seating scattered around the shop, not much but adequate. The only negative is the lack of cats. Used book stores should always have resident cats.
I travel a lot and love going to used bookstores. It's like finding a treasure. A chain bookstore has zero flair and all the selection. Some used bookstore have all flair and little selection. Half price books has both. It was really hard to walk out with only one book. I highly recommend it and I will go back again when I finish my new book.
I always have a pleasant experience coming to HPB and every time I visit there's always something different "on the menu", as it were. Even when a certain novel, comic, or CD isn't available one day it may be there the next. Even something completely different from what I'm looking for reveals itself and makes my visit worthwhile!
This Half Price books is very well organized call mom has polite employees, and has a fantastic selection of various subjects. I also have a huge collection of records, magazines, CDs, DVDs, and audio books. My only complaint is there are several books I have found on Amazon for a cheaper price San some of the books in the store.
Horrible place to take your books or any other type of media. They wanted to give me five bucks on 20 books. Don’t get me started on the ones they call Denise and Gideon. Those two where the most disrespectful out of all of them. Will not ever be going back there again. Just going to take my business over to bookmans instead.
We just stopped in to pick up a novel or two and left an hour later with a couple of novels, 3 art books, a cookbook or 2, some miscellaneous items. They were extremely kind and helpful, and ordered an obscure book on Nordic art (for half what I would have had to pay on Amazon). Wish we had one of these in Las Vegas.
Was very happy to see a half price. Don't be fooled by the front. It's a deep bookstore. Decent video game selection. Not a bad collection of manga. Clean bathrooms. Good assortment of current books in the store. Love the section of recommendations when you come in the door. Wish there was more of these around.
We love Half Price Books, and this is our favorite location. It is well laid out and has helpful and friendly staff as well as a wide variety of books, games, puzzles and gifts, all at extremely reasonable prices. We'd be over there every week buying books if we had more of those dollar dollar bills, y'all.
This place is great, even if you're not a book lover! If you love to read, they have great prices and tons of options. But even if you don't read a lot, they also have video games, puzzles, other awesome little knick-knacks, etc! Very similar to a Zia records type of vibe, just a little smaller. …
Great prices on used books, but the place is a little run down. If you're bringing in books, movies or other things to sell be prepared to be offered below garage sale prices ... Like $.25 per item. And watch carefully, sometimes they'll take extra items from your pile of books and not pay you for them.
I like this place because of the myriad of books and other items that sometimes would be hard to find. Fantastic selection of books old and new (at times). They're always willing to help you find whatever you need and will search their database for you as well if you can't find what you're looking for.
Love this book store! Always buy a whole bunch more books and I plan to but it's so cheap! They buy your books too but, they don't give you a whole bunch for them. I guess that's why they can sell them for cheap. I get lost in the clearance section in the back. My husband has to drag me out of there.
You can't beat the prices, even for new books that have just been released. Call ahead if you're looking for a particular book and they'll let you know if it's in stock. It's a treat to stop in here and see what's new on the shelves. I was impressed with the selection and would recommend visiting.
Great customer service at this location! They will hold books for three days (up to five). Good selection of titles, they also have assorted toys, games, notebooks, records and DVDs. They will pay cash for titles they can sell. They also have a summer reading program and an educator discount card.
I always bring my old books and CDs here. Usually between selling that stuff and the discounts on prices I can walk out with some really good deals. Sometimes if they have an overstock of certain books you can find copies with really great discounts, so be sure to go look in the Sale sections.
Great selection of hard to find books, out of print books, reasonably priced used books, the clearance section is amazing, and the sales staff are always courteous and pleasant. (The only thing I wish is that the other patrons would respect personal space.) I highly recommend this bookstore.
The store is a treasure hunt waiting to happen. I may not be able to find the exact book I went there for, but I am distracted by other books that look good. Their online search capability my also turn up what you want, but requires a wait when you want to read that book then, not later.
The first store I've been two was the one in Houston. I fell in love with it. Then at least I could bring home DVDs and occasionally CDs. It's like going to Amazon with actually going onto the online shopping website. Everything is cheap. My dad goes there to look for comic books. Kudos
The employees were kind, very helpful, and funny. The store is set up in a simple and efficient manner which made it easy to find what I needed. Their prices for textbooks were low in comparison to everything I saw online. I will definitely come back when I have more literary needs.
Well organized, spacious bookstore. Really like how they wrap sets of books up for one price as a series. Had an electronic inventory, so they can quickly tell you whether or not they have the book you are searching for. Also has a great kids section. Has a few boardgames for sale.
I took about 30 books in for trade. I understand they're not going to take everything but they only wanted 2 books. They offered 75¢ for both books! And they were basically new books! And I know they'll sell them for at least $5 a piece! C'mon! Be fair to your sellers/customers!
This location is alright. It is definitely smaller than the other 2 locations. If looking for a bigger selection on whatever, I would recommend going to either the Mesa one or the Camelback store. However, not bad, I usually come across something interesting every now and then.
I love Half Price Books. They always have a good selection of books at great prices, along with a nice selection of other fun items. Bookmark's, book lights, note books, journals, movies and other interesting items. It is light and bright and well laid out to navigate through.
Highly recommended! Always a great experience here! Friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff! Very affordable especially if you have any trade ins. Great store hours not as limited as others. This particular location is the best however all locations are still really good.
I love Half Price Books, they have a very unique and interesting selection. You can always find cool stuff there; it's easy to load up on lots of different books and notebooks and journals and bookmarks... My boys enjoy sifting through all of the records and memorabilia.
This is one of the best used book shops around. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The selection is great and the ability to sell your old books is wonderful. I always recommend donating your old books to a library but if you need the cash this is the place to go.
This place is really cool! We live right near there for a few years and never went. Great deals on music (all types), books, movies, etc. Wide variety. Multiple staff was super helpful and really nice actually. I was Def impressed and pleased with this place overall.
I had been looking for a particular book and they tracked one copy down for me. From another state. Had it shipped here, and it came within the time frame they suggested. Staff is very helpful, friendly, great customer service! I keep coming back to Half Price Books!
I've been to other half priced book stores in Texas and loved then. This location has been wonderful. They even let me know if the Mesa location had a book I want they can do a store transfer and let me know when it's there to pick up. Friendly & helpful staff.
This is a Great Place for Books, Used Games, etc., and their customer service is to be commended, one highlight for me was their no hassles exchange, on a game that was mistakenly packaged... They made me, a loyal customer with that one service experience.
If you are buying anything from books to movies to comics to records, stop here first or at least call. They have the nicest people i. The world working here, they all seem to like theor job and are ready and willing to help with anything. Love this place.
Nice place to buy books and board games and stuff. I got maybe 10% of what i paid for on a collectors set of books in great condition though, so maybe not the best place to sell used books in great condition :/ otherwise I suggest going here to buy books.
I always find what i am looking for, and more. They have a great selection of journals and calendars, too. The books are in excellent condition too, and they have new books as well. And the prices can't be beat. Saw some collectible books too this time.
I had a great experience here selling books for my Mother. I didn’t have to wait and received about $50. Mom wanted to donate to library and I thought I’d give them a try first. Glad I did- going back this week for round 2. Thank you Half Priced Books.
Bigger store than it looks like. Staff were very helpful with questions and were happy to assist with people bringing things in to sell. Have sold several boxes worth of stuff and for a cash payout they do pretty well. Was a good experience all around.
Great selection, great prices, helpful staff. Not many bookstores like this left. Plan on spending some time here there are good values to be had. Check the sale rack in the back of the store....got a great deal on some old Tony hillerman hardbacks.
Great store! Nice layout and well-marked categories. The only thing I could suggest is to more people on the floor helping customers, as opposed to taking in, pricing and placing books. But I would recommend it and we will continue shopping there.
We love this store. Great finds here every time we come. Got a nice pile of baby books, some long-forgotten albums on CD, and a few of the Harry Potter series we were looking for. We'll be back, this place is great and has a wonderful selection.
They have everything! Including text books. The outside is deceptive, it appears small, but the inside is very deep - out goes on forever. They're a cross between a Barnes & Noble, a library and a gift shop - with great prices - it's a treasure!
I have always loved shopping here! I want to give a special shout out to Izzi! She is so fantastic! She always provides exceptional customer service and always looks for great opportunities to assist her clients and staff! Keep Rocking it Izzi!!
This is a great store, and a great location. Personal are very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They have a good variety of books, movies and music, including vinyl. I've been going to this store for years and would highly recommend it.!!
I walk in this place and lose an hour in wonderland. It has a neighborhood feel with all the convieince of a book superstore. Lots of good quality new and used books, movies, CD's, and gifts. I bought an entire CS Lewis collection for $17.
Lots of very well priced books. The variety of sections is great, it's hard to find a horror section at all much less one worth browsing. Not everything is used, by the way. The employees are nice and seem to enjoy their jobs. I'm a fan.
Clean place. Lots of books and great deals. The sections were easy to find and there was so many people buying items. It was a mixture of all kids of ages. Definitely an interesting place to go and get something. The staff was friendly.
Love, love, love this store!! Carries used and new books at great prices. CD's, LP's, movies, too. They also have a great selection of stationary and cards. I could spend hours here!! The staff is always very helpful and knowledgeable.
Love this store. Have sold books to them and feel I receive a fair price. They have a great selection of books, CD’s, DVD’s and vinyl! Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Plus they have chairs to sit in while perusing the shelves!
my service today from a gentleman working on friday november 18, 2022 @ 8pm ish was a very pleasant experience here i’m sorry i didn’t get a name but very good customer service and very helpful!!!! would definitely visit again
Really easy to see from the road, An abundance of parking. They have a huge selection of books. It would take multiple visits to experience a fraction of their supply. I even noticed records and CDs out the corner of my eye..
Just found out they have a clearance section in back! They seem to have a good selection for a smaller store. I love to come here once in awhile, especially during the holidays they have plenty of new popular books as well.
Not everything is kindle.. tangible books so you can smell the pages..second hand books can save you some money.. they have vinyl baby that's right warmth of a vinyl album .punk to classic on wax.. even some collectors punk
I really like this place. The sell and buy second hand books. I like the alternative vibe to the store. The staff is really friendly, patient, and willing to answer customer questions. Highly recommended place to shop.
Great place to get books, movies or music! I bring my kids here to help build their library. The staff are always friendly, welcoming and very helpful. The store is very tidy and organized. I'll always come back here.
Great Store and a large selection of books and music. Movies where small but I am not sure what the DVD/Blu Ray is in Phoenix but still a great store. Love visiting Half Price Books at different locations and states.
They have excellent customer service! My husband bought a game a month ago that was missing a disc..we went back a month later and they remembered his name and situation and gave us the disc....Exceptional service!!
Very friendly people who are knowledgeable too. Nice selection of books to pick through but it's organized and fairly easy to find what you are looking for if you're searching for a specific author/genre/subject.
Really like it. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Great selection and organization for a used book store. Excellent selection and good prices plus a lot more cool and funky stuff like gifts and vinyl, etc.
Very neat store! You can find just about anything there. The staff was friendly too which is always nice. I went in with no intention of buying anything then I left with 8 books lol. Will definitely be back!
Won't come back. Brought in 40 great CDs in perfect condition and dozens of pristine Lazer discs. They offered me 14 bucks for approximately of the discs and 10 lase discs. Less than a buck a piece. Jeeze.
Decent used bookstore. Nice to have option not to pay full price for books. They will buy your books also. Love the clearance section in the far back...fun to see what kind of discounts you can get there.
This place is a great place to shop for all kinds of books and odds and ends. It is always stocked with hard to find items for gifts or everyday things. Great customer service it is one of my favorites.
Not at all close to where I live but this is a nice, though smaller store. I didn't find what I was looking for but I did find some other books that did buy. Worth a look if you are a book lover like me
Great store! It was much larger than I expected from the outside. There is a great selection of many genres, everything is organized very well and sections were clearly marked. Really good pricing too!
What's not to love about this place? Great prices for second-hand books. Respectable trade/in-store credit. Friendly well-informed staff. Interesting selections. Never really know what you'll find!
